Looks like Shuttle Sobti, who had to detour to mush-ville yesterday, made an unannounced pit-stop at Snark-ville today, delaying its entry into the desi Cape Canaveral by a couple more days.

At this time, viewers would like to acknowledge the PH's efforts at keeping the patiently (NOT!) waiting millions entertained. They just have one question -- Should they resume the constant dumping of the garbage outside their front doors this week or wait until next week?

Viewers would also like to thank the PH for their help in bringing the forum snark back after the crash landing into mush-ville yesterday. Balance to banta hai,boss! 😉

So, Good News and Bad News from TRP Maata. The good news is they are steady; the bad news is they are not rising. Hmmm.. what could possibly be the reason??? 🤔

So where do they go from here?? Tell the story that they have been waiting to tell [and we have been patiently (NOT!) waiting to see] since march or appease TRP Maata and get to a steady 3.5 and up before doing the honors??

Hmm-- whattay conundrum??? More garbage outside the front doors or more garbage outside the front doors. Veeps Gyan says, when in doubt, go for more garbage outside the front doors. 😎

Now, Follow the Money, is what NK and Khushi are doing. Finally, after 6 weeks of detective-giri, they are sniffing the right trail. Car Chase ville through the Dilli (NOT!) traffic. NON-RM car follows RM car to random place, Suddenly-Shaatir takes an auto from the back gate and the Suddenly-Double-Shaatir snorts. Done that already, you Single Shaatir Sleaze! 😡Naani-ji, won't you tell me a random story that will show the Single Shaatir who the Double Shaatir around here is?

Moving on.

Random meal is served and Naani is missing Chotte. Is it payday already?? Maami wants to spill and drops hints. Double Shaatir looks at Single Shaatir and decides not to bite. Suddenly-Not-Shaatir-Maami is not happy. Naani-ji wants to talk to chotte. Single Shaatir is in a bit of tight spot here.

Moving on.

Never-been-Shaatir Payalia is trying rapid eye movements on the Will-Never-Be-Shaatir Aakash. Payal-ji, would you like me to call a doctor for you? No, Aakash-ji, why do I need a doctor when I have Bua-ji? Next Raam baan nuska, Mogra and Chameli ka Tel.

I haven't watched today's epi yet, but my advance previewers (Savvy and Veeps, thanks chicas!) indicate that this one may be a NW1W... or Not worth 1 word.😊Apparently the sleuthing mystery continues to go nowhere at an excruciating slow pace, the troubles in PayAsh land seem inexplicable; big question - will the 'napper mystery really wrap up by the end of the week? 😡

Pretty sure quite a few of you share the frustration, it's been discussed ad nauseum in the last week or so. But as I started to think of it, I began to play devil's advocate and wear my contrarian hat. That can be fun --- since my post yesterday, I'm developing a taste for it. 😉 So let me share my thoughts with you...

1. Barun's return was signaled from the start to be June 22 and so realistically he was expected to stay in banian mode until then. 40-45 days off, I think was mentioned by him in an interview? I picked this up secondhand from the hangout, but it seems spot on.

2. Sobti has been in and out of the IPK sets and the show has used the time judiciously to give us some pretty nice ArHi moments and some dishoom, dishoom Bollywood style action. I don't really think they've done ramanchi with his time, as far as I can tell they've used it as efficiently as possible to shoot solo with him in his banian avatar. But it's meant that the 'napper mystery has been stretched endlessly. I'm not sure the PH had a huge number of options with this.

3. The TRPs are tanking, why are the show runners being so negligent? Again something we've discussed --- as far as TRPs go, this seems to be more a function of the strength of the competition in the time slot than anything else. Child Bride (Baalika Vadhu on Colors at 8p, I think?) for whatever reason seems to be holding strong. The advantage seems to rest with the current slot leader. If that show continues to grip viewers, it's unlikely viewers wil reach for their remotes even after Sobti returns.

The only way IPK stands a shot of wresting back viewers is if SP promotes the heck out of some big dhamaka event on IPK that is likely to cut across a big cross section of viewers --- the badi, moti, desi shaadi that NK alluded to on his return is a good one. The endless rasams can be exploited for a good 2-3 weeks and this is just the sort of desi weakness that can turn TRPs on their head. However I'm not sure the CVs want to release that Brahmaastra just yet. 😛

4. We do some pretty serious hand wringing over TRPs. Until this show became an obsession, I didnt even know the names of other shows. Now every Wednesday I track the chart! Here's the thing --- Does anyone here seriously believe that we care more about it than the PH does? It's our pastime but it's their peshaa. So I can only conclude that they don't have much to offer us for the 2-3 episodes. Or at least that they have to spread it out and make it last until Mr Right is done for good. Until then, we have to be able hold hands, sing kumbaya around the fire and weather the drought. 🤗

5. Final point --- I've noticed that often some of the "filler" episodes are those that set up the story threads for the future. They often foreshadow key action, give us some hints on what to look for. I know symbolism and decoding is not the flavor of the hangout, but today it may be fun to see if there is indeed something there? If anyone is interested we can give it a shot.

Also, you may just not want to invest a moment more in the epi and if you think that "A cigar is just a cigar" that I totally get - I do. But maybe just maybe we have something else to talk about and work our frustrations out on? 😃

I'm going to head home, watch the epi and come back with an epi update or not... but definitely will be back for some gupshup. Until, later chicas... ❤️

ETA: Watched the epi - thoughts/decoding of the epi on Page 3, in case you want to waste... err... I mean spend any more time on it! 😃

Official filler episode of the week. Yesterday's 5 minute telepathic conversation inspired me to write a post for 20 min with screen caps and today I watched the entire episode by hitting the FF button in YT in 5 min.

I just froze my YT screen when they showed the segway into the episode with Khushi's mangalsutra caught in Arnav's jacket. That seems to be the only place where I can see Arnie back in his old wardrobe, Arnie and Khushi in one frame since the last 45 days!! I really really miss the good old days!

All the players are back in the drawing board - Nani, mami, NK, Payal, Akash. There is no way but to move forward to the closure of the kidnapping track. To echo @Doc's words, we are getting to the end of the kumbaya dance and it can only be good from this point onwards.

Thanks to Veeps and Doc, I went and re watched the episode patiently. Lets see what we can uncover with the side plots today. This should break us all out of mushy mode we were in yesterday's SG hangout. 😃

To start off, the increasing role of Buaji back in Payal's life. Buaji is a pretty dominating lady, but interestingly enough she has not tried to alleviate Payal's insecurity by talking to her, addressing the root problem instead giving not so helpful suggestions. Something is cooking up in that angle just like Anjal's increased awareness all of a sudden.

The snarkiness is back, welcome back Sanjana as much as I loved your post last night I missed your snarky comments

I fully expected to see Barun everyday this week but that was not the case, seems the fight sequence and ASR plotting his escape are going to play out towards the end of this week leading into next which is when he'll hopefully be rescued as this can't drag on for much longer, especially based on the comments on this forum for tonight's filler epi

Onto the rest of the episode, Khushi and NK following Shyam was way too obvious but I did like that Khushi quickly thought of a way out to outsmart Shyam, she is getting sharper!

Fortunately we did not have to watch another cringeworthy scene with Shyam and Khushi because in this episode it was NK coming up with a way to trap Shyam and track his bank records, I'm once again throwing logic out the window as there's no point to it!

Was it me or did it seem like HP deliberately spill water on Shyam?? That didn't look like an accident, maybe NK told him to do it?

The Payal and Akash scene, what in the world was that and why is this only the start and not the ending?!

Finally Nani has taken note of the fact Arnav being away for so long is out of the ordinary for him, its about time someone pointed it out

I hope the scene between Manorama and Khushi is an indication that she will once again be brought into this track. I want Manorama to confront Khushi about why she stopped her from saying anything about Arnav, she must know Khushi knows more than she lets on. Manorama needs to join forces with PS again!

So the phone scene turned out to be a bust, should've known SBS was misleading but the part about ASR trying to communicate with his family is not. Looking forward to ASR putting his plan in action hope it works!

Basically a decent filler for the week, things continued to move along smoothly with the track being laid for ASR to emerge!!

Great post Veeps, awesome that you wrote so much on today's episode and managed to make the post super entertaining🤣🤣

I was actually planning on skipping making a post today but I was online and saw the new hangout being posted. Old habits die hard and could not resist😉

The biggest positive for me today was there were no sleazy Shyam-Khushi scenes🤢 and thankfully no Anjali hovering around with an active antenna. Today was just a stretch by all standards. The stretched car ride, the redundant and repetitive Khushi-NK conversation and additional detective giri by NK; did not really add anything to the story. I'm glad someone in the family is showing concern about Arnav's whereabouts' and it is high time Khushi stops playing games and fills Mami in😡. The disconnect with Mami after her being an integral part of the initial track does not fit in well. Plus Khushi very well may lose the strong ally she had developed in Mami.

Shyam seems to be losing his temper, is getting anxious and snapping at all; shows he is getting desperate and will slip soon. The mystery about the locket; I could not care less😆😆. In short too much Shyam and NK; both of whom i am not interested in seeing!

Khushi is back in red, is this a sign for the upcoming reunion😉

Barun mentioned in the SBS segment he had a 36 hours IPK shoot; plus per earlier segments we know he has shot future scenes then what is the point of this mindless dragging? Why is there no new promo yet? Spoilers (Priya and Khoobsurath) mention that today was the last of the fillers and we will see action from tomorrow. I certainly hope they is right coz I have just about has it with this kidnapping track.

About the TRP's i guess I'm just glad they are steady. People are hoping the return of Barun brings them back up; i am hoping the script stays tight with forward progress and less fillers coz that will help the TRP's more than ODB (though for me just his major presence in every episode going forward will be good for starters😉)

Hey SGs!!

I will make a post just for your sassy post and not the episode, because the episode did nothing for me!!

Yes, we moved ahead half a step, but this all to build a "perfect set up" and leave us asking for more over the weekend.
I think Barun shot a bank at the start of the week, half of what we saw in the TM part 2 sequence and the rest we'll see till Friday.

The real deal is being shot right now and the 22nd onwards, stuff we won't see on SBS, stuff we'll hear about but that will hit us at lightening speed.
Besides, parallel tracks have started, Anjali's doubts and Payal's insecurities (no matter what shape and size they come in.. what was that?! If I flirted like that, I'd be single for the rest of my life!)

You know, it doesn't even matter, coz this group of us here along with some other groups like Priya's, will continue watching the show and be loyal. Its the group effect, we'll convince one another to watch it.
So, my advice is, lets just chill and enjoy and not speculate and wait to be amazed! 😊

Usually i watch an episode at least 3 times. Not today. As well as having a busy day, reading the updates and negativity in the forum, i didn't have the heart to watch it. So just watched it a while ago in 5 mins while fast forwarding so i get the general idea what's going on.🤓

Ok.

A rule in playing 'I Spy', like i mentioned yesterday, you do not tail somebody in broad daylight in the family car, so that the person suspects and decides to do a detour. Back Home!😕

Khushi reaches home just in time. Very lucky aren't we Khoosiji??

Shyamu wears a horcrux, i mean locket, where he keeps part of his soul, in case somebody decides to finish him off. The other pieces being the nappy under the cradle, the stuff in the briefcase, the 3 or 4 black men and the tapori kidnapper.🤔

Really at the moment, I'm not interested in what is in it, unless it is the magic key that transports Khoosi to her Arnavji. Maybe then i'll order on of those also😉

This serial works when both leads are in the episode regardless of whether they are in the same frame or not.

I'm sure this is the last Sobti less and I Spy episode. Tomorrow new day, banyan wala Sobti and i'm sure the Shaatir dimaag is going to actively take part in some personal rescuing.

No more dreams and rabba ve's and ESP now till the big reunion.
