The next morning Khushi woke up in her bed and turned to hug Arnav, but found that it was empty.
"Arnav ji," she assumed he was in the bathroom, since it was 8 am already. He usually left for office by 9. She yelled a couple more times, but got no reply. Just when she was about to get up Arnav entered through the bedroom door already bathed and dressed in a suit.
"You were up early," she said as she eyed his clothes. "Why didn't you wake me, you know I normally set out your clothes and everything," she pouted slightly. He always wore what she laid out for him, and she liked it that way.
"Aren't you going to come closer," she asked when she saw he was still in the doorway.
"No, first close your eyes," a slow smile appearing on his face. What had he done now?
"But," she wanted to know why, but he cut her off, "No ifs and buts. Eyes shut." She did as he asked, but peaked slightly through one eye curiosity getting a hold of her.
"No cheating Khushi," he said in his stern voice. "Fine." She felt him sit on the edge of the bed beside her. She heard some rattling noises and then a moment later Arnav stuffed something in her mouth. Pleasure flooded through her senses. Taro frozen yogurt. He had actually gone out this early and found taro yogurt for her. She opened her eyes slowly as he fed her another spoon and the pleasure kept exploding. She looked into his eyes and both just sat there silently without saying a word as he fed her and she ate.
He was so wonderful was her only thought. She couldn't stop the tears from flooding her eyes as she thought of how lucky she was to have this man as her husband. This man who would move mountains if he had to just for her. This man who might actually go to the moon for her'who would take her to the moon. This man who she knew would love her the same way when she is 60 as he did today.
She felt tears roll down her cheeks, as Arnav said "Khushi what happened. Do you not like it? I can get you something else," and that just made her cry more. He was so amazing and this man was hers. Hers to kiss, to hold, to love.
"Happy tears" she gave a small smile of reassurance.
"Happy tears? What are you so happy about?"
"You," she said as she gazed into his eyes. 'You' pretty much summed it up.
They got lost in each other's eyes for several moments, the yogurt forgotten. She couldn't stop looking into his eyes, the love that she saw there made her shiver. She would never be able to live without this man. She would have stared forever, but the phone rang and he pulled away.
"Hello," Arnav said.
"Mr. Raizada, this is Susan calling to confirm your wife's appointment today with Dr. Sharma for her weekly checkup at 2 pm."
"Yes, she will be there."
"I think you might want to be here today as well. Dr. Sharma is doing the ultrasound today. You will get to see the baby."
"What, why wasn't I told. Anyways I will be there." He hung up the phone and looked over at Khushi who looked clueless. What happened Khushi thought as he slowly walked over to her.
"Khushi did you forget to tell me something. That was the doctor's office. The ultrasound?"
"No I did tell you. Didn't I?"
"No Khushi you didn't or else I would have remembered something so important."
"I am so so sorry Arnav ji. I am getting so forgetful nowadays."
"It's okay. Be ready at 1.30 I will come pick you up," he gave her a quick kiss and then left for work.

This was a bit too sweet...I know. My roommate laughed when I read her the sentence about moving mountains.
