And unfortunately truth hurts and sucks which is why Mr hegde had been ranting.

It looks like constructive criticism is not received well not only in parts of this forum ('bashing' as it is termed), but also 4lions somehow think they are immune to criticism.

I think Gautam Hegde and team are being blasted from all sides (Starplus, Production House and fans alike) for the mess that IPK currently is in and the falling TRP's. Part of me feels bad for them but than I feel they are also to blame for the mindless OTT comedy that they subjected us to. It would have send the TRP's soaring if they has used Preethika's track itself for Khushi to find out the reason of her marriage instead of Kamlesh Khabri and suicide track. Also Barun coming on You tube and saying that the movie project is going to make his fans a lot happier than the serial and in a way putting his own serial which gave him so much name and fame down is not earning him accolades. I know that he is giving some time for his serial in between his movie before he comes back fully, but hopefully by that time it is not too late for IPK. I do feel a lot let down by Barun and the way he changed his priorities. How can the creatives continue weaving a romantic story when the lead himself is not going to be available for prolonged periods.

generaI auidience is not senti , we are very shaIIow , contrary to what it seems most don't care about the harkwork of cvs actors director editor , if the show is good we watch if not we quit ,

that is what happened, the show was good during the previous months so it gathered good trps and was in top 5 for a considerabIe time , now it is not so it is out of top 10 as simpIe as that[i wiII bIame your marketing team too]

we dont watch the show cos the actors or the crew is shooting in rain or sun

we have a option to switch to satyamev jayate , do you Mr hygde

YOU want that we appreciate you and your team instead of criticising you all??!!? Do you really think that we have nothing else to do but watch your show and rubbish it?

Could you sit down for a moment and think WHY we are criticising you and yet continuing to watch the show. Defintiely not because we don't have a choice, at least, not any of your international audience who have a pethora of excellenty made progammes to watch.

We've chosen to watch your show BECAUSE we care for the characters and what happens to them. Have YOU given them the respect they deserve?

Let's take Payash, who you claim, we do not care for while you love them to bits. What have you done to show a growth and development in their characters? what do they do in the show- Akash has no spine, he can't stand up for his wife, does he have an independent life beyond being being an obedient brother and son? Payal has just been a weeping willow, having to put up with her ghastly ma-in-law's taunts? Where is her story?

You brought in NK, what did he do, what was his role in the story? You brought in Bubbly- WHY? And worse you showed a child in the worst possible light.

There's maami and maaamji? what are they there for? Apart from maami taunting every one and providing dubious comic relief, I can't see the purpose of her presence.

All of these above characters, who are all terrific characters and superb actors, have unfortunately been left underdeveloped. In what ways have they contributed to the story? Whose fault is that, definitely not the characters or the actors playing them- you the writer, their creator, are totally responsible for that.

Which brings me to the 4 main characters-
Anjali and Shyam- terrific characters, but do we have a clue why they behave the way they do? Apart from a few hints you've thrown about the trauma in Anjali's life, we have no idea why she has a limp, how she met Shyam? Nothing. Worse we have no clue WHY SHyam is who he is? what drives the man? What is his story?

ASR and Khushi were terrific characters, here to give you credit you built them up beuatifully. But look at how you've butchered their characters in the last 2 months?

Where is the story, where is the logic and consistency which was there in the first few months? Now you've started throwing in meangingless romance- who do you think we are?

You've not only insulted our intelligence, now you're adding injury by accusing us of not appreciating you and your hard work.

If we did not appreciate your hard work Mister, we wouldn't be watching this show, nor would we be bothering to read your pathetic accusation and least of all bothering to take the time to reply to your letter. We are all highly qualified professionals with serious careers in our daily lives and a life outside our work. WE are not looking for escapism, we are looking a story told in a decent manner.

I watch this show for the quality of acting and the story it promised. So if I am criticising you, then it is YOUR job to find out where you are going wrong and to correct it. If you can't do it yourself, then read the millions of wonderful suggestions that people have made on this forum, you can't go wrong.

Do not blame us for critcising you. YOU are not doing your job properly, mate. We have enough intelligence to appreciate good work, which we have done by watching your show. So stop insulting us, pull up your socks, get back to the drawing board and get your act together. Your appalling lack of humility bordering on arrogance is even more pathetic.

The whole thing reeeked of unprofessionalism. NOW I'm feeling scared for the show. They are brilliantly creative minds with not an ounce of marketing or public relation skills. How will they handle the continuity of the show in this attitude? I think its time for them to hire a marketing stratergy planning group that monitors all the actions (in a public level) from the team. I'd say cut it with unnecessary side characters who probably empty your bank ballance just to cloth them and use the fees you owe them to hire a marketing team/PR team.
