We only criticise because we are so passionate about this show and want to see improvements and as they can see from the low TRP something is definitely going wrong and this is what they should be concentrating on and not complain about their audience because our feed back is what's going to improve this show.

We praise when praise is due, do they not see the complements we give them when they deliver because if a majority is saying the same thing it should mean something.

I can understand anyone getting hurt when their work gets criticised but they need to realise this is a internationally recognised show and it will attract different view and it is up to them how they us the feed back they are getting from their customers and we do have a lot of amazing viewpoints on this forum which can only benefit this show.

I'm not sure why the writers of the show are on IF in the first place. That's not a very good idea. We don't represent even 5-10% of their TRP audience. Also, the internet is very tricky. Its nice that they encourage fan feedback but they should take everything with a grain of salt. Don't let fans influence how you write for the show. Ugh. This is how good shows get ruined...when they try too hard to please all the fans...and in the process, they end up rushing things and sidelining the real story. Please just stick to doing your job! Forget the actors, the fans, whatever...just write a good storyline and we'll be hooked...simple as that.

Ok this is very interesting.

I find the entire rant ... and a rant it is .. from GH to be very juvenile and unprofessional.

Yes, the show is cumulative effort of many individuals, yes there are many constraints, yes there are many pressures and hardships, yes there are mistakes made, yes there are tough deadlines, yes there is competition and yes there is a fickle audience.

But guess what? That is the harsh reality in EVERY profession. All of us have real jobs too and we face the same issues daily.

I work in the software industry and we go through the same process, we develop a concept, get a sponsor, gather requirements, develop a product , send it to quality assurance and launch it. Through it all we face the same issues, people leaving, falling sick, budget constraints, customers who don't really know what they want, people making mistakes etc etc etc.

But when the product is out there and there are problems (and there usually are) we don't go whining to the consumer, boo hoo you don't like what I did?!!! I stayed up all night to do it.

We don't blame the customer for not knowing what they want or for not using the product right. (well some of us do rant about it privately, but never to the customer.)

What we do is acknowledge the mistakes, FIX them and release a patch or an improved version.

That is what GH should be focussing on.

So through all the shoddy storyline, the OTT antics, half baked characters and blah blah and blah why am I still following the show?

Maybe its because I am a romantic and I got hooked on to a love story and I would like to see the lovers meet and I keep waiting and waiting and waiting.

Somewhere the PH knows that, once Khushi and Arnav kiss and make up who is going to watch the episodes built on bubbly and masala mama?

The only reason we soldier through that crap is because we are still waiting for our happy ending.

I don' think there is so much dearth of tracks that we should be subjected to silly comedy tracks ... 3 months MU drag karna tha to ... there were so many different things that could have been done...

We loved Arhi love hate relationship but sometimes love has to come up to the level of hate ... sirf hate hate hate se kaam nahi chalega...

Of course everyone is worried... you invest time to see HATE and when it is time to see LOVE ... if someone tells us we many not see it with the same pair ... what is one supposed to do???

ok this is a big risk I am taking - I will have to disagree with you and hope you still send me PM s on filigreed sun:)

I did not feel the Gautam was rude. He was sick of people just bashing them. Yup, he needs to develop thicker skin but I really did not feel that there was anything offensive about his post. He is reaching out, talking to his customers and telling how he feels.

The fact that he is, to me, is good. Better than head in the sand.

And heaven forbid that he focuses on the TRP s - you can get TRP s through many gimmicks in that milieu - weeping women, tortured daughters in law, screaming mothers in law and cheesy lines can give you TRP s... So i would say, focus on the story.

Just read through some of the comments and I seem to be completely disagreeing with most of you. I feel the same as Yanka. he has a right to rant.. and he has a right to react. Personally I like the fact that he is reacting..

anyway i agree to disagree... and still think June - Feb was heaven, March and April was crap... and now its middling fair... but I am not holding my breath for excellence anymore so I guess it does not bother me either way.

What he said is true...we might have felt bad because of the way Gautam Hegde pointed out the reality, but its the truth nevertheless.

Like you justified that how there was no need of justification, the same goes for them. And, they didn't justify on their own, they were ASKED to.

And, not everything is uncalled for. Sometimes, we got to hear someone important's point of view too, in order to make our own view. Arshad Khan, Barun and Sanaya are not the only ones whose interview matter! And since many were complaining about the CVs decision off lately, I think his justification was much needed.

Well, its just my POV. 😊

Arshi - Guatam Hegde has every right to his opinion. And we the fan base have every right to express ours.

First, a sense of humility is sorely needed by this team. The dripping patronizing tone and telling us to get a life and watch Satyamev jayate for reality is not his judgment call. we reserve that prerogative.

Second, IPK is entertainment? Then make it ENTERTAINING!!! The past 4 months have been anything but ENTERTAINMENT!!! So yes, Gautam, we watch IPK for fun, make it fun, make it work.

Third, viewers do not owe them anything. They are in the business. And in a business you NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER put your laundry list of issues to customers. You can share the hard work of the team but never WHINE.

Finally, where is the "THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING US VIEWERS" through the crapshoot we dished in the last 4 months.

We are not suckers
