@ Rita...ooh I had to take this opportunity and write...I hardly ever actually never have we disagreed...and today it seems we finally do😃

SJ how did the anniversary go...Happy day after😛

to me mr Hegde came across as a belligrant /pompous child...who had not got the favorable results he had envisioned...His wording was condescending and attitiude patronising...

It is a commercial mrkt...which is selling art...critiques of art are very stringent as it is a luxery...so some choose to just cut thier losses others cry foul feeling cheated of their time...but as the person who provides...you either give a toss about your customer or you dont...if you do then you do whatever to placate if you dont you move on...you donot lash back or pretend that they are bloody fools...the biggest folly of a war and of business is to underestimate you opponent or customer as the case may be...

so Saying I will say my folly was to react...he was acting out like a frustrated child ...and like I normaly do ...I should have given him space and myself too...and then explained everything slowy but firmly...and then made up with a lolly...(all virtually of course)...I wonder how he would have take some random not so clued on, not trp rendering...with not so many grey cell momma from the boondocks giving him a lesson or two...(Same to same man...I think thats why raw nerves were touched)

I did not feel the Gautam was rude. He was sick of people just bashing them. Yup, he needs to develop thicker skin but I really did not feel that there was anything offensive about his post. He is reaching out, talking to his customers and telling how he feels.
The fact that he is, to me, is good. Better than head in the sand.

And heaven forbid that he focuses on the TRP s - you can get TRP s through many gimmicks in that milieu - weeping women, tortured daughters in law, screaming mothers in law and cheesy lines can give you TRP s... So i would say, focus on the story.

Just read through some of the comments and I seem to be completely disagreeing with most of you. I feel the same as Yanka. he has a right to rant.. and he has a right to react. Personally I like the fact that he is reacting..

anyway i agree to disagree... and still think June - Feb was heaven, March and April was crap... and now its middling fair... but I am not holding my breath for excellence anymore so I guess it does not bother me either way.

Rita - Normally, it would not bother me at all. Gautam's rage, anger or upset over bashing.

But this is condescension. Read the article where he says go watch Satyamed Jayate for reality. Well, I dont think viewers are kids to be told what to do.

In all the rants, not once, not once has the team said a simple and sincere "Thank you" to those who has supported them through their low phase.

The show has flashes of brillaince. Undoubtedly, the first 6 months were great. And no one complained to the CVs and guess what, CVs hid in woodwork and never bothered to Thank their viewers then.

Now, when the going gets tough, we see anger, indignation and upset. Where was this anger and upset when the show took a turn for the worse during the Feb-May of this year?

Also, no professional should ever air their dirty laundry in public. period.

(ps - rita, no offense taken and none intended. its just a debate)

Sj you are genius!!!!!

you did it and I am happy...some one needed to reach out and well i would like to add one more thing...

The actors are praised and the Cvs are trashed also because the leads seem to be doing a absolutely fantastic job in the acting department initially (the very first couple of months or so...) i remember many were talking out about the expressionless ASr etc etc...

And now we praise as the actos seem to be doing an excellent job only the story line seems to be falling...

GH can visit other forum to and see that when the story line is bad its Cvs who are balmed and if the viewers feel the actors are not up to the mark ...there are posts about it too!!!

and well one of the crew from TRP toppers had said their story was all preplanned with the plot and the story and it will not change according to TRP but will aim at making people understand their plot and making them like it with their efforts...no doubt they are toppers and yes they said the visit the forum they thanked the audience for appreciation as well as criticism...

So well he must learn to be a sport...and not succumb to pressure!!!

i think they need to calm down too and stop this type of PR bloopers. Fans are a diverse group of people, you cannot herd them. but IPK team is a business team. they should present a common, united front with crisp interviews and a tone of humility wouldn't hurt.

I am just worried about not getting a PM for Filigreed Sun... seriously... no pressure...

regarding all that, I honestly feel all of you are reading his attitude or communication differently from what he meant it to be.. but that's ok.

I do feel they are dishing out crap but after a point, i shut up because after explaining that its crap I think that is enough. I mean we do rant a bit in this place... and 5 hours of creative output per week to my mind is a lot. a hell of a lot. Maybe for someone who is creative its not.. I just find the dynamics of creating something good in the indian tell industry rather daunting.. its not simple.. but yes, that does not excuse shoddy work but neither does it preclude him responding...

Tangam, :) nice to disagree once in a while, mate, specially over life altering events such as these!

I find it interesting to find myself on the opposite side of the fence for once in a debate with all those who I usually agree with! its a bit bizarre. I think it could be something to do with the fact that I have truly moved on from IPK...

Yanka, this is not a PERSONAL attack. Please read the topic again. Its a professional advice to GH. I work hard just as the creative team does.

If their team has a need to express themselves, so do we.

And finally, I have nothing personal against GH, heck, I dont even know the guy and what he does for a hobby. Why in the god's almighty world would i or any of us have anything against him?

He addressed his concerns as fans bashing their work and some fans replied. simple
