i can definitely feel your pain. I think what has happened is, the standard for this show was set SO high in the first 6 months, that we feel letdown. I watch old episodes and I love the continuity, sharpness in dialogue, fluidity in story, - there was never a dull moment it seemed. The comedy was well-placed, the love-hate between Arnav and Khushi was constantly moving and interesting, - mostly everything seemed to click.

I think the marriage track started off well enough. I still love the episode where Arnav finds Khushi at the mandir and brings her home. I loved the "I hate you!" dialogues also. But, somewhere, the CVs decided to get off track. Now, they are desperately trying to steer back on track. Last week felt epic with the reveal. And, I am liking the idea of Khushi missing Arnav. But, everything else - doesn't really work.
You're so right about the side stories. I have no interest in any of the other characters besides Arnav and Khushi (which is why I'm missing Barun so much now, b/c I am currently watching for one woman, and that can't last forever). There's a goldmine of history and stories that the CVs can work on, which they aren't.
What worries me is - let's say Barun's movie does well. Or, even if the movie flops, he might still get noticed from it and start getting other offers. How long does IPKKND really have to tell its' WHOLE story? Why are they wasting time? Unfortunately, I don't think this show can go on for 3 years. I really feel like it has MAX another year left. They really need to tell the stories that are integral to the show.
I have some hope that the show will get better after Barun's return. And, I HOPE and PRAY, that soon after his return we get to see the Arnav and Khushi LOVE track. It's just time. As fans, there's only so long we can wait.
And, yes - the clothing and sets are atrocious. I hate the red and purple outfit Sanaya was wearing today! Uggghhh... She wears that thing every week!!!!! Where are her OLD chamkili outfits??? Why can't she wear some of those? With her hair out? Why can't she wear a sari???? It's so frustrating. And, the fact that everyone has the same room is just stupid. It's true - other shows have such extravagant sets... it makes me angry.
As a fan, I hope for the best. I can't stop watching now... I'm too invested.

I agree. Here are some of my observations. To be honest, I think the movie shows very little promise, Bappi, Shenaz, it's just formula for mediocre. I don't see it performing well. Now Barun is playing a playful character, also a bad thing cause he is his best in brooding. I am afraid this will be a bad start for him but I understand he has to start somewhere. Perhaps he should not have jumped at the first offer and waited for a film with an actor that can pull an audience. A tv actor going into film cannot pull an audience, it's a different audience really that needs to be hooked. Talking strictly numbers now that Bollywood is becoming more and more commercialized. I wish him well and yes agreed that he will try to move on and so the show will have to stop like I predicted after dragging to juice the MU with nothing of the history.

I hate this pink, gold and purple outfit most. It is the epitome of tacky. I can't believe the woman got a job as a stylist making that. And she makes the same two designs, the velvet bust or the side lapel in every color. Shows that two or one deal they are buying clothes with. Money has nothing to do with it, it is just tacky.

Her old clothes were intentionally tacky (chamkeeli) but so much better than her clothes now as the Mrs. Raizada. What Arnav can't afford a few clothes for his wife? I don't understand why she can't wear saris. Saaris don't age her, she looks so cute and petite in them. Like the child wife she really is. Esp in that yellow sari. I don't understand what they are thinking.

I get your point Mary...and that of Gemsal678..

don't want to sound and be the agony aunt but I guess CVs are getting back on track...the supporting cast seemed a bit un-used since the show started...at least thats what I have felt...its the lead pair that have stolen the show and kept the pace going..so its no wonder when one is away and unnecessary additions of characters have just added to the mess..well..hopefully in time these bugs will fly away😆

I so agree Mary..Barun should not have jumped into this movie right away...should have given this some more thought.. instead...but like I have been saying repeatedly who am I to say whats right or wrong its his life..and let him learn whats right or wrong in his own way...Its just that like so many out there I am a crazy fan of the show...and have been really low ever since this drag fest and comedy began...I have tried various ways of consoling myself.. the most recent one being Cvs will surely get back with a bang...😍

i agree!!but so far i think the story has been taken very well..even though there r few fillers in between which seems to drag the storyline a little..but i think the cv's r forced to do some filler episodes due to some unavoidable circumstances...i am sure the story will be back in track after barun comes back!!lets hope for the best!

but i think the story is getting so much better nowdays.

there is no ott comedy khushi is serious and reflective. i am loving the khushi scenes this past two weeks

shyam scenes are also great.

i thikn people look at the past with nostalgia. i have been here since the start and people hated arnav back when the show started, then we hated all the religious bend the show went on, then we hated la for a while as much as we hate bubbly now. so there has always been bad stuff in the show since the start. the difference is we have had such great episodes with arhi that the standard for this show is set really high.

after the sp awards where they won big perhaps out of over confidence of just that they were tired the cv's took a break and it hurt the show a lot. there were no promo no promotion and a real lack of story after the marriage. and people lost interest. i think the cv's do seem to have a plan in mind and our getting the story back on track.

people are liking these episodes on a whole and achieving that while a one of the leads is missing is big. arnav is a huge part of the show and the sole reason many girls watch the show. so i think serious story tracks have been laid but it will take them time to get totally back on top. they are giving promos on a regular bases and the episode are flowing better nowdays. good that they are ending the bubbly track and as for masala mama he is not ott character that i feared. mama seems to be missing so they got another guy to talk with mami.. so the audience will come back .. and barun returning will also help a lot.

I totally agree, couple weeks ago I too was growing frustrated with IPKKND but ever since the truth came out I've seen the CVs coming back on track. There is no OTT comedy, Bubbly's track is thankfully coming to an end, not a lot of focus on Masala Mama and best of all the CVs are using Barun's absence to showcase Sanaya's talent and bring her character's feelings for Arnav to the surface. The fact a majority of viewers are pleased with this week's episodes despite Barun's absence shows the CVs are heading in the right direction. I think they've learned their lesson for taking their fans for granted, they've realized how upset we were and are doing whatever they can to win viewers back.

Yeah...I hv same opinion...After watching Barun's Movie captions...I feel it isnt promising 1...Barun cud wait for better option rather than grab the oppertunity of current fandom...its totally varies person to person...
i dont know the fashion designer of IPK...but he/she is the worst 1...the guy is lucky bcoz all the actors of IPK r good looking and carry any type or color...
I also dont understand y they dont make Sarees for Khushi...Anjali has good collection of sarees...but Mrs Raizada doesnt hv 1...😆..hope Cvs and PH also will work on it...and ARNAV's Bathroom 2..need to change...😛

I def agree and I was shocked that they used the same costume again for Khushi which she wore what last week? And someone even found out that she was wearing a costume that was made for Kanak though Sanaya looked stunning in that salwar I really wish Barun and her would get new costumes made specially them and I think they are stretching the MU so they have smth awesome for the year anni and bc it's one of the biggest tracks of the show itself and I feel they might be scared that the other tracks might not be as strong as this one and they want to keep the show on for a long time like all of us do, hence y we should be patient and support to the best our ability cuz I really want this show to continue as much as possible i really believe show will be even better once the first anni hits

the fact that you just didn't do plain bashing, but also gave due justifications along with each, is very mature. we all love the show, in fact it's one serial i really grew to love, ponder and spend awful lot of time thinking about, but when the standard of a show falls, it just doesn't hide.i hope, i so hope things go better. maha episode was a refreshing change, but then lo and behold! there came masala mama... they can do it, they have all the elements to create wonders, they have done it before, then what's the problem??? hope i get to see my old show back with a bang!
