You and I see this is a little differently - my comments in bold

i have my own opinion on this.

i still rate ipkknd far higher than many tellies.
reason:
no melodrama = TRUE
no scheming saas = COMEDIC SCHEMING BY MAMI
no OTT acting = SHYAM AND HIS TWITCHING IS THEATRICAL OVERACTING TO ME, THE LACK OF ACTING EDUCATION SHOWS
no deliberate parade of virtues = ANJALI
no typical suffering heroine = ABUSED KHUSHI
no typical nice hero = TRUE
and most important of all
the amazing cast. = FOR THE MOST PART, LA COULD HAVE BEEN PLAYED BY A BETTER ACTRESS, BUBBLY AND MAMA ARE USELESS ADDITIONS
for this alone, despite many flaws I am an IPKKND fan and always will be
it has silly humour but that is harmless
it is irritating loses its way. but the intense moments like maaepisode are worth it
so i have my own feeling that this show will go places again

i completely understand how you feel. honestly, it isn't about barun leaving because even if he was there, the storyline was bland for a few months. The CVs decide to give us like 3 good episodes last week and they completly let us down. The whole Bubbly character shouldn't have been used in the first place. I mean she's useless. Childish jokes are the main focus now with Bubbly's jokes. And the cheap shots the CVs are trying to make with Shyam. I was disgusted. I mean i love IPKKND and all but now... now i'm getting kind of disappointed in it! It's starting to remind me why I didn't like indian serials in the first place

abhaas is incredible yaar minus the ttwitching. khushi is not the typical sufferer. she also makes the hero suffer.
la was a bimbo and she ws played well. anjali is too virtous but she is virtous because people are good to her. in other serials they are so good when they are suffering

@bold...he did attend Anupam kher's school of acting...thogh he does indulge in alot of theatre...the twitiching if I am not mistaken is a directoral preferance...it does not come natural...he is made to take the tick as par of Shyaams persona,,...
but I agree Rima Abhaas is a good actor...he is farely new but he has moments of pure genius...

He has his moments but I don't think he's a good actor, there's no subtlety. It's all twitching and that eye bulge he often does. I don't want to offend any of his fans, it is just a viewer's point of view. I am a bit of a movie buff and watch films from different countries, it is just my personal view of acting skills as a viewer. Anupam Kher's students are a dime a dozen, Abhaas is really a lawyer by profession and I hear from a good school too. It is really a workshop compared to that national art school in Pune, though I am no expert. But acting school doesn't make a great actor. Barun never went to acting school and he's intuitively brilliant.

Absolutely 😊 fabulous post!

i feel the same way...mornings used to be so pleasant for me to watch each ipkknd episodes online..but not anymore..i'm not denying sanaya's acting skills, i know she's good..but its not just sanaya, not barun's absence...its the usless comedy and nonsense track that i'm loosing interest...again i'm not saying (before anybody bash me) "me" not liking the epsidoes these days is going to make any difference to the serials popularity...just saying...

love and peace,

i can definitely feel your pain. I think what has happened is, the standard for this show was set SO high in the first 6 months, that we feel letdown. I watch old episodes and I love the continuity, sharpness in dialogue, fluidity in story, - there was never a dull moment it seemed. The comedy was well-placed, the love-hate between Arnav and Khushi was constantly moving and interesting, - mostly everything seemed to click.
I think the marriage track started off well enough. I still love the episode where Arnav finds Khushi at the mandir and brings her home. I loved the "I hate you!" dialogues also. But, somewhere, the CVs decided to get off track. Now, they are desperately trying to steer back on track. Last week felt epic with the reveal. And, I am liking the idea of Khushi missing Arnav. But, everything else - doesn't really work.
You're so right about the side stories. I have no interest in any of the other characters besides Arnav and Khushi (which is why I'm missing Barun so much now, b/c I am currently watching for one woman, and that can't last forever). There's a goldmine of history and stories that the CVs can work on, which they aren't.
What worries me is - let's say Barun's movie does well. Or, even if the movie flops, he might still get noticed from it and start getting other offers. How long does IPKKND really have to tell its' WHOLE story? Why are they wasting time? Unfortunately, I don't think this show can go on for 3 years. I really feel like it has MAX another year left. They really need to tell the stories that are integral to the show.
I have some hope that the show will get better after Barun's return. And, I HOPE and PRAY, that soon after his return we get to see the Arnav and Khushi LOVE track. It's just time. As fans, there's only so long we can wait.
And, yes - the clothing and sets are atrocious. I hate the red and purple outfit Sanaya was wearing today! Uggghhh... She wears that thing every week!!!!! Where are her OLD chamkili outfits??? Why can't she wear some of those? With her hair out? Why can't she wear a sari???? It's so frustrating. And, the fact that everyone has the same room is just stupid. It's true - other shows have such extravagant sets... it makes me angry.
As a fan, I hope for the best. I can't stop watching now... I'm too invested.

Ur points r correct..Cvs also can make Akash and Payal more screen place without 60's nature...they looks good together...lack of continuity and useless new characters (all r Mamiji's relatives 😕) another issue...

Once Upon a time I hv watched IPK more than once...last 3 months .. 1 time is enough...😊
Once upon a time I wud wait for IPK..I watch it whnevr I hv time...
