So impure that ASR calls her characterless.

What does the umpteen hugs he had with La make him?

Ok La was not married and neither was he. But then he did not marry La and so he too is impure for hugging her? He also attempted to kiss Khushi when in a bond with La

If he said he did not love La despite numerous hugs which Khushi witnessed and she believed him, then why can't he believe Khushi when she says she does not love Shyam?

Ok I am actually exhausted making posts today.

But I had to ask this. Are there different set of 'purity' rules for men and women?

What applies for the goose applies to the gander.

If Khushi is characterless in ASR's eyes for one hug, what is ASR's character in Khushi's eyes for all those hugs?

Mind you he called her characterless and questioned her upbringing based on one hug where he ws hugging and she was just standing.

For those sayng it is not about the hug but the fact that she hugged a married man and the hug just signified her disloyalty to marriage in general, then I want to ask, she explained about her and Shyam. He may not believe her but he said 'The hug is stuck in his head'. So it was about the hug too.

For those saying La hugged him and he never did, it is the same with Khushi and he is still judging her.

For those saying if it was NK or some other random guy he wouldn't have minded, then let me remind you that after the Desi Girl dance he as good as called her cheap for entertaining people and dancing with another guy.

Tons of times he has said 'tum jaisi ladki', which means he already has a mental image of Khushi as some kind of a tramp.

Yes he is a jealous lover. That is the one thing in his favor. But he judges Khushi and always has and this misconception is a result of his preconceived notions.

Although NOT ME, But one can argue that La and Arnav were in a relationship, Even if it wasn't marriage😳

Also, La or Arnav wern't married. And they wern't cheating either. Okay in a way they were. With Arnav not feeling anything for La e.t.c. It can be argued strongly.

Anyway its different for Khushi because Shyam is a married man. That scumbag😡 But because Shyam is married & he assumes/believes Khushi was different, She's 'impure'

I wonder if my post makes sense😳😆

I don't think its the physical act of a "hug" that has ASR upset and his mind screaming for justice.

Its this notion in his mind that Khushi is a cheap gold digger who is out to have an affair with his BIL. The hug is only a symptom of the disease that he imagines khushi has, a kind of final confirmation for him that indeed Khushi and his BIL are in a relationship.

I don't think if Shyam had hugged Khushi in public, in front of families, ASR would have thought twice about it. And of all the mis-characterizations of ASR or Khushi, i get it that ASR does not think khushi is impure because of the hug, on the contrary, he thinks she is impure because she has this affair with his BIL, therefore, the hug is imprinted in his mind.

it is complicated i know. but if you see he did nit marry the girl he hugged and hugged which spoilt his chastity

Shyam hugged Khushi and asr is acting high and mighty. but he hugged la and then khushi too. so what to make of that?

but khushi cant even get away with a hug

double standards...

well in arnavs defense he thinks khushi loves shyam and he never loved la.

I think it angers him because he knows Khushi's ideals won't allow her to touch a man, unless she feels something for him. So that hug explicitly says a lot to him in his head...

In our society it's okay for a man to hug but not for a woman in any context.

In this situation Khushi his love, hugging another man who's his sister's husband is IMPURE.

Well, i dont think ASR has a problem with Khushi's purity or impurity, remember, he still fell in love with her even after knowing that her she had a broken engagement.

The problem is that he is ultra sensitive when it come to Anjali and also that she is the reason behind his Di's sadness and He thinks that she broke a very precious relation while still acting very sweet to the family.

Even today when he told her the truth and asked her for explanation, I think he would have kind of forgiven her if she had accepted her mistake(from his point of view), but instead she is defending herself and weaving stories, coz he is very sure of what he heard ad saw...

Again, the last para was from Arnav's point of view...coz usually people tend to get more angry when the accused is trying to cover up thier mistake as opposed to accepting and seeking forgiveness.

I am not saying he is totally currect, infact he was wrong fro the beginning, but iam just stating his point of view
