The title for today's IP Redux has emerged from the 1974 classic "Imtihaan". Apt title Tants. A very beautiful song composed by duo Laxmikant Pyarelal - written by Majrooh Sultanpuri Ji, Sung by Kishore Da and enacted by Vinod Khanna. The opening shot was the slow ambulation of Vinod Khanna towards his college with the background of "Ruk Janna Nahin".
This song remains one of my favourites from Kishore Da rendition. Every one involved in this composition including the actor did justice to this song. Special thanks to Majrooh Ji for his thought provoking lyrics as it reinstates your faith whenever you are going downhill. After approximately 37 years, the song retains its luster and the younger generations are able to relate to this song.
Did the team of Iss pyaar do this justice today?
Unfortunately, a big No. When there were umpteen articles unilaterally supporting Lalit Mohan return, personally, it was alright for me with Arshad Khan's direction, because some of the intense episodes shot by him.
Today, what viewed was mediocrity from all quarters and a lovely script failed in execution quarters.
Again, let me go to the subject as usual Arnav Singh Raizada :
For the past two days Arnav, comprehending the weirdness of his wife that reached the crescendo, unable to decipher her pattern as usual but realizing the broth cooked by her is not smelling and tasting the same. He apparently witnessed the care, parting words to her father, so completely taken by surprise for a subtle dosage of practicing the virtue of patience to him. It was a mandatory requirement from the perspective of his health also.
When he was taking strides in their room concentrating in the content of the file, something diverted his attention. It was the dazzling stars missing above the bed, moving ahead he saw the succinct note to Mr. Salman Khan, he dismissed it as her usual craziness. In spite of his effort to resume, his work he again saw the packet and note that made his understand his premonition. The love of his life is contemplating suicide.
As usual, the protector is in full force to find a way to prevent the untoward incident.
The anathema that accompanies the Wedding, Open Terrace and inevitable Suicide :
Wedding and inevitable suicide :
The road that he travels takes a distinct path during the eve of every impeding wedding – be it his sister wedding or his brother. He founds himself vulnerable as he loses someone very special in his life.
Open terrace and Wedding :
The day when he wanted to proclaim his love to the women he held in high esteem and heart came to a crashing low as he witnessed the infamous terrace scene. That was again on the eve of his brother wedding. That day according to him concluded a truth – the illegitimate affairs between his brother in law and love interest.
The open terrace and evitable Suicide :
Just as his marriage always chances his perception towards life, the open terrace seems to be an extension. When he went to the terrace to disclose his love we witnessing the infamous scene of Shyam and Khushi, today, we was in the terrace – to save a person that holds an important place in his heart. Today, he came to the same spot and challenged her position by opening the question that remained in his closet.
Khushi's take:
Today was the day of Khushi – who took all her analytical ability in finding a solution – death by her choice and the place she chooses was the open terrace as an end for trial and tribulations. On the terrace and the designated moment, here was the man trying to negotiate with her for bringing sanity to her senses.
Her understanding works in anti-clock motion:
She placed herself in the whirlpool of situations and amidst the season of autumn both want to witness the season of spring.
Placed that caught my attention:
