okay, now coming to the point. ASR is definitely shown as a grey character. not for that arrogance or rude behavior. many leads are shown like this b4. ( like maan from geet, also heard about sujal and arjun, but didnt watch their shows).
But the dori breaking, video realase etc gave his charachter more grey shades and stublished him as an anti-hero.
Did I get my point clear to ur querry " if all the human being has grey shades why only him is stated as anti-hero"!!Im asking cause I feel I cant explain my pov clearly. Just hope that u can undestand me.

now coming to the redeeming part, I guess he has redeemed himself already. He alway thought people of Khushis class only run after money, make plan to get a rich man and live lavilshly by marrying them(which normal hunan dont think). but does he think the same now? I guess no. Otherwise he has not shown so much respect to Khushis family. but remember the day when he threw money on khushis face to bring her back to pacify Anjali infront of buaji.there are many example of his changed behavior like this. so the redeeming is a continuos process he is going through and yeah I think it was needed.
So my answer is, Yes he is an anti-hero( thats what I love most about the show),redeemption was needed and he has redeemed himself a Lot wid a capital L.

Thanks Naila, you're too kind. 😳

Yes I understand the part about Dori breaking, video release etc. Those things happened a long time ago and Khushi has also forgiven him for all those.

As Anu ( Momma1128) has said, that more than anyone else, he needs to be redeemed in his own eyes for having wronged an innocent.

Yes he does need to apologize for his mistake. But there are different views regarding the redemption and for what and how exactly he needs to be redeemed and a healthy discussion on that was the purpose of the post.

it is okay to be having some i guess. to what i extent in what genre is i dread. and it would be nice to see redemption from both the sides with a sense out of retrospection; not just one.

Who is the first person? 😳

Redemption with the sense of retrospection from both sides is what I am looking forward to as well. Not sure if the cvs have that in mind.

Fari, great post, ASR is the only character which I look forward to watching in this show precisely because of layers and variations that are shown and beautifully portrayed by Barun. He is flawed like many of us and slightly more though, but he is a human, beneath that tough mask lies a golden heart which very few people understand and appreciate, Right now I would say the person who has understood him partly is Anjali and Khushi has a long way to go, to overtake Anjali in that aspect.

As for redemption, I strongly believe he has started making amends and it has started already. He has come a long way from June 6th to the point now where he has started giving importance to people in GH there likes and dislikes and will soon do more such things to be liked by one and all in GH, RM and by audience who are watching this show. It is truly remarkable to see this transformation and i am looking forward to see what more they have, to offer us.

What ever he did recently is under a big MU, he fell a victim! Ye committed grave mistakes, but yes, he has redeemed himself at various stages, even now the MU is not clear n the way he is putting up with KKG is appreciable! I just wonder how he is going to behave wen he finds KKG is innocent, he is being sweet now when he is under a wrong impression

Thanks Zoha.

At bold - yeah that's exactly what I am thinking as well.

Fari, redemption is going to happen from one side only which I am sure of, as for retrospection I think Arnav is already ahlf way he will reach the pinnacle once her innocence is proved. But for Khushi's retrospection, I am still waiting and waiting, I am not sure when that day will ever come, the Cvs have screwed up big time in that aspect with her character so far, but its time for them to start from some angle now, otherwise its frustrating to see a one sided love story.

ASR is human and he is perfectly flawed like human beings😳. He is a darling isn't it...portrayed beautifully by our BS with such a conviction.

Whenever he realized he did mistake he redeemed it. He will do it again when MU clears. He never masked it when he felt the guilt that he did wrong. Even though he is not in good terms with Khushi when he shouted about her parents..he went ahead and said sorry to her. When he came to know he is the reason behind payal's broken marriage again he went to Payal and said sorry and made amendments. Now also he gives respect to the in-laws though marriage is not real. Why shld he care right... it's jst a contract marriage?? But he did...his character has evolved more from the beginning of the show..he has mellowed down. But unfortunately I am not seeing that KKG side...though not as grave as ASR she too did mistakes. But CVs never showed that from her side and I want to see that...unfortunately I have no hopes on the same from CVs

No fari, Im not too kind;rather u r being polite. 😉

I am not accusing ASR for that dori breaking etc etc..., I mentioned that just to point out why he is called an anti-hero. I loved that ASR even more than I love Arnav. 😳 And I compketely agree wid Anu about his redemption.looking forward to his breathtaking performance on this track (hope the CVs wont disappoint us. 😃 )

He has definitely come a long way and if he needs to be redeemed it's only for misjudging Khushi and marrying her the way he did. He has already made up for all his past mistakes.

Gupta family already likes him. Not just buaji and Garima, babuji was also touched by his gestures.

ThanksPrema !!
