wonderful Fari!!

Isn't he a perfect Human Being! becoa Human beings are flawed n born to err!!

What ever he did recently is under a big MU, he fell a victim! Ye committed grave mistakes, but yes, he has redeemed himself at various stages, even now the MU is not clear n the way he is putting up with KKG is appreciable! I just wonder how he is going to behave wen he finds KKG is innocent, he is being sweet now when he is under a wrong impression

To me, ASR always looked realistic character.. The experiences in his life made him the hard hearted man, he appears - but one that has the grand and gold heart.. He is as soft as the next person, but purposefully uses the grey shades to fend off the world - many of us do that too (hence human) - but in his case a bit extreme - (hence the grey)- for he firmly believes they are the ones needed to deal with life... But when the extreme bit(grey) has hurt an innocent person and ASR comes to know of it.. he will certainly set his own course to make up.. or redeem.. This is again how he is made up...

Well put. Thanks Shubha.

I totally agree with your post..yes he is human and as every human being he is flawed too...which is very real..in his flaws I can relate myself too..I get angry and take rash decisions..well mine decisions are not to that extent life changing..bt still I can understand him fairly well coz he appears very real but I also condone the fact that he needs to redeem himself..not for khushi but for himself also...he needs to break huge walls of ego that he carries..and I am nt saying that having ego is bad..I have also..but he needs to realise that he can not rule other ppl's lives and make decisions for them...he needs to reinstate his faith -thats all..This character has lot of depth and I feel it displays lot of unhealed wounds..which can only be healed if he gives other person that chance to heal... Well I also love darkness in his character..😳

another great post Fari!!! u were silent for so many days a few days ago, now entertaining us successive great posts! loving it.

okay, now coming to the point. ASR is definitely shown as a grey character. not for that arrogance or rude behavior. many leads are shown like this b4. ( like maan from geet, also heard about sujal and arjun, but didnt watch their shows).
But the dori breaking, video realase etc gave his charachter more grey shades and stublished him as an anti-hero.
Did I get my point clear to ur querry " if all the human being has grey shades why only him is stated as anti-hero"!!Im asking cause I feel I cant explain my pov clearly. Just hope that u can undestand me.

now coming to the redeeming part, I guess he has redeemed himself already. He alway thought people of Khushis class only run after money, make plan to get a rich man and live lavilshly by marrying them(which normal hunan dont think). but does he think the same now? I guess no. Otherwise he has not shown so much respect to Khushis family. but remember the day when he threw money on khushis face to bring her back to pacify Anjali infront of buaji.there are many example of his changed behavior like this. so the redeeming is a continuos process he is going through and yeah I think it was needed.
So my answer is, Yes he is an anti-hero( thats what I love most about the show),redeemption was needed and he has redeemed himself a Lot wid a capital L.

fari; you are the only second person i know who has asked this question if redemption is necessary? maybe we wouldn't have had to ask this if the outrage against the character hadn't gotten to terms like criminal or if the PH din't have an earlier such track on a show.

it is okay to be having some i guess. to what i extent in what genre is i dread. and it would be nice to see redemption from both the sides with a sense out of retrospection; not just one.

The charachter has done a lot of really terrible things, as well as shown his caring side, his vulenerability, his pain. I think the charachter is larger than life, but has really been made relatable and believable due to the superlative acting...just my pov
