He's not. I never found him to be Anti Grey. I think the story works because he's so real. You know not like the glossy heroes, he's as a real as one can be. He makes mistakes and feels the pain. Like in the dinner/lunch today, he felt bad that they had to pay for it.. He did think of their choices- though if he brought them indian, it would have been better, but he thinks, he repents and he shows pain.

I think he's like the only hero on SP that I can clearly say, yes, this is somewhat like me, not the cold part, but the human part of him.

After one by one his layers are peeling..ofcourse he is opening up..showing all his care and love that he hide for long..

But I deeply feel khushi has a big role in it..because anjli even did not bring this change..

ultimately credit goes to him..to have this tremendous transformation..

Wonderful perspective and characterization of ASR. No one is either white or black, it is shades between these two colors. ASR is both and I don't want him to change completely into arnav. ASR is who we fell in love with and so did Khushi.. She would be bored to death with arnav 24/7. They like to fight and challenge each other. He has made grave mistakes, a lot of them. He is outwardly snobbish he and speaks of class and social status.

Does he really need to be redeemed? Doesn't he already have enough qualities that redeem him?

If none of us are perfect, then we all are flawed and grey. Then why is ASR defined as an anti-hero or a grey character who will eventually be redeemed?

PS : this is not a comparison post. It is something that just struck me.

Khushi has a great role in role in peeling of the layers and yes you're right Anjali did not bring this change.

She knew her chote was hidden beneath the mask of ASR and she made do with that.

Today and the precap has reminded us of this and hopefully it leaves Khushi thinking and reconsidering.

The character sketches we fell in love with are being revived slowly, slowly - last week we saw a hint of the KKG we loved and today we saw more of the ASR we all crave for - hoping the CVs keep this up!

There will hardly be some people who are not grey, and as you rightly said we all are flawed. To some our flaws are apparent and to some not.

As far as redemption is concerned, in an ideal world where people can be really empathetic they may let go of it, for ASR acted out of what he SAW as the truth and can he really be blamed for that? A lot of times I have reacted wrongly to a wrongly perceived situation to realise later on the error I made. However, I feel redemption is written on the cards.
