Sitting down with a cup of coffee and your post is the perfect complement! 😊 Great analysis as always Diya --- I completely agree with the gist of it. 👍🏼

I thought the goals in terms of what the show was trying to accomplish were just fine - Khushi making herself at home in ASR's life, taking by manipulation what he was denying her by right. I especially liked her entrepreneurial and independent spirit and the fact that the Raizadas esp. the family elder naniji supported her in her dabba ve. Now if only patidev would come around to supporting her, we'll have nice non-preachy little vignette of female empowerment.

I was on board with the need to switch gears from the intense romance during holi to last week's comedy. That said, I'm a little tired of Khushi's character being collateral damage every time this happens. Sanaya has great comic timing and the show's instinct to give her comedic talents a platform is a sound one. She's done screwball comedy very well before --- the dhak dhak incident where Arnav watches her antics in the glass pane or even the more recent one of her wearing Arnav's white shirt come to mind. In the later case I didn't like how ma ke kangan were disrespected, but the white shirt bit was funny - very well executed. So in the name of Devi Maiyya, give Sanaya something worthy to work with and the girl will come up trumps. Making her a tantrum throwing 2 year old who screams in rage or spits on Arnav or walks on the bed are unbearable! At this rate we're going to have to sign a "Save Khushi" petition to join my "No fake Rabba Ve" petition. I'm big on petitions these days --- my list is starting to grow and Star Plus won't know what has hit the channel if it doesn't mend its ways. 😆

I disagree a bit with you Diya on Arnav/ASR --- he has fared better this week than Khushi. I think the show did a number on his character when he banished Khushi to the pool and I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive that. 😡😡😡 . But this week, for the most part, he has reacted like an adult (a bewildered and outfoxed one!) to Khushi's antics. We're always going to get some gamesmanship from these two --- that's their relationship shtick! Perhaps, Arnav remembering his holi confession has softened him, maybe in some shadowy way he realizes how much he has wronged Khushi and accepting her takeover tactics is in some small way him trying to make amends. I have no difficulty with the fact that he suffers, he has that and much more coming to him, but I really don't see why anyone needs to be banished to the pool. It is simply wrong no matter who does it and I'm offended by the notion that since Arnav of his volition takes on the poolside vigil, he has somehow been absolved of his crime in sending Khushi there! 😡

I actually am OK with the fact that Arnav doesn't seem to be acting on his recollection of Khushi's confession (I'm assuming her remembers it!). To my mind he is disconcerted and a little flummoxed by those confessions of the heart - he'd rather pretend it was a moment of weakness that came upon them when under the influence. Arnav's MO is to walk way from emotional confrontation and unpleasant questions unless he has no other choice (in which case, he acts decisively!). But he's been an emotional coward from the start and I don't think that has changed. Khushi on the other hand is fearless, reckless even when it comes to matters of the heart. There's no way she could let such an emotional recollection rest. So it's just as well that she doesn't remember (a bit of fudging that I think is ok as dramatic licence!) just as it makes sense that she is the one who hasn't quite figured out that this is true love.

So, I thought this was a tonally uneven and choppy week and I wouldn't have much to say... but like you Diya I guess there was enough there to chew on. Thanks, Diya for giving us a chance to put all the pieces together and take stock...Maybe, just maybe this wasn't such a bad week after all? 😍

hi diya lovely post as usual. even the insipid episodes had a meaning thanx to beautifully written post. liked what you said about cooking for your loved ones. i am in total agreement. for someone who didnt know how to boil an egg i learnt to cook after marriage as my husband is a foodie and even after all these years i still get a lot of pleasure seeing him relish what i cook for him 😊 even i sincerely wish & pray that the cv's get of the 'duh' track and move ahead. with so many spoilers coming in the viewers do not know what to expect in the days ahead. we can only wait and watch

Hi Diya! I'm impressed that you has so much to write about last week😆😆.
I think the biggest problem was that the crap dished out last week came on the heels of the brilliant holi week, leaving everyone confused, annoyed and frustrated. Also i think what was shown in 5 days could have easily been cut to 3, so this was a filler to account for Sanaya's absence. I understand the ened for comedy but can they please not turn Khushi into a 6 year old.
Let me concentrate on the few positives of the week since i am in no mood to re-live the negatives😉.
I loved it when Khushi left Payal to face Mami's taunts an ran to Arnav to make sure he did not take the wrong medicine. In that moment she gave priority to Arnav over Payal which was HUGE!
I'm glad Arnav got a taste of what it feels like to be misunderstood and not given a change to speak. I do think Arnav remembers BOTH confessions. There is no way he remembers the recliner scene and not what immediately followed with them sitting hand in hand at the poolside. He has shown amazing restrain in his behavior toward Khushi this week and it has to because he remembers.
I was ok with everything Khushi did to take over his bath, wardrobe and bed. I think it was nice the CV's showed Arnav take the pool side because he knows deep down that Khushi would not be comfortable sharing the bed/room with him at night, though they seemed quite comfortable with each other shirtless and without the dupatta. Another positive: Khushi is becoming very comfortable around Arnav probably without even realizing it. I actually liked the Rabba Ve in and out of the bathroon because for the first time they showed that Khushi was so affected by him, much more than Arnav was. I really wanted to see an awareness on her part.
I loved the scene where Khushi sees Arnav eating her food, you could see her face light up with genuine happiness and satisfaction.
I love the fact that Khushi wants to be independent what makes no sense is that she is trying to irritate Arnav to get thrown out of RM and then goes to look for work at HIS office. If she is to be shown as truly independent they have to show her catering business expand beyond AR.
I LOVED cutting off the money supply to the leech's account. Hopefully it will propel him to stop ogling and actually do something that propels ARHI into some action.
Hoping for a better week ahead, esp since i have a renewed loyalty to Sarun after watching the SPA last night😆😆

HI Dia,
Will not repeat what seems to be the general consensus on the forum that the week was very BADLY done. A heck lot of inconsistencies and flip flops from one thing to the next. I think the next week wil be the same.
I watched the SPA awards last night . Yes the entire 3 hour show and the Jodi and IPK has so much potential if the creators keep their eyes on the ball. I love Barun & Sanaya because they are Arnav & Khushi and also vice versa. Actors & the characters coexist but last week it was assumned that it is enough to stretch the show just because of the actors. Wrong assumption.
If they are looking for a long series then they better strengthen their spines ie ArHI and not allow them to flip flop as they have been doing lately. What happened to the dapper ASR & effervescent Khushi who are now reduced to OTT characters.
Lets see how they proceed and if the show continues to be worth the time and heart I spend on it.

Diya, good wrap up of last week. I didn't enjoy Khushi in OTT mode especially Salman Khan poster, immitating his dance/screaming without any reason. Other than this it was an OK week. Arnav has been exceptionally patient with Khushi. And if this is bcoz he recollects his confession post Bhang, we the audience would definitely like to know what he remembers.

Yes, I agree that women should be financially independent even if there is no need to work. Unfortunately, Khushi's dream business is sure to see an end by tomorrow or latest by end of this week. This production house is famous for letting their lead female actress dependent on their better half.

Diya 🤗
once again that was a fabulous take of the previous week 👏⭐️

Awww...its been ages since I yapped with u all😳 but kya karoon my ofc keeps me chained to work des days and so rarely get time to come online!!!😆

Well I agree with you...I was really surprised when I saw Khushi taking an impulsive decision to start a new business without even consulting with her family...I was like cummon Khushi!!!😲
Agree that you think your marriage to Arnav is just a fake one and that too only for 6 months..but don't u think U should have atleast consulted with your family first before taking such a important step!!!😕
And U started your business in AR office where ur husband is the owner and he was the last one to know of ur new business😕 Khushi, wat abt corporate ethics??😲

Its not that m not OK with Khushi's new business...m very much OK with her business and m happy that rather than mooching off of her husband like the other Raizada females she went a step ahead to be independent⭐️
This will really help her when the 6 months are over!!!😃 And this will also help in a big way to clear the MUs!!😉

M also liked her taking over Arnav's room...and wasn't this way she actually stamping her presence in ASR's life!!!😳 She says that she wants him to throw her out of his life but her action says otherwise...she is actually making him get more used to her presence in his life and surrounding!!!😉

Now coming to Khushi's OTT behavior...does the CVs want to show her as a 5 or 6 years old kid???? 😕 why the unnecessary screeching and screaming!!!
Cummon CVs she is a married girl now...wat the hell where u thinking when u wrote such scenes!!!!😕

So looks like Khushi totally forgot her own bhangofied confession...well AGREE...taken the fact that she was more drunk than Arnav...but didn't Arnav tell her that she had hurt him badly before the holi track and she was all over him to tell her the truth?😕

What happened Khushi?? Don't tell me ki Bhang pene ke baad u totally forgot everything!!😆 and what abt the part where u were saying that u need to take a serious step against that lusty creep??? So ur only motive now is to return that 300 rs??
Seriously, What the____😆

Coming to our adorable shirtless DHAKKAN☺️ 🤪
U wont believe when they showed him shirtless and that too with water-droplets clinging to his body, face and hair...I went all "Oh boy ur mine, Oh boy ur mine"🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪😆
Lolsss...then later when I came back to my scenes😳 I was like "CVs dont u dare distract us like that...Maybe it worked for a day but never again"😳😆😆😆

So the adorable SHIRTLESS DHAKKAN thinks his BIL is on the way of redemption😕

Is it Arnav??? Please call you brain back from the extended vacation...cummon...didn't u see how that Snake manipulated the situation so that he can put GULAAL on Khushi first and that too in front of then entire crowd??
Wake up Arnav!!! Its high time...please use the brain you are so proud of or I will push u off the RM terrace with or without ur cloths😳 🤣
LOLss...hum sabka kuch toh bhalaa ho😳🤣

Yaar all these discontinuities are grating on my nerves big time...so extremely sorry for ranting😳🤣🤣

Me off to read other comments!!!😳😃

Muwaaah and hugs to all <3 <3 <3 <3

Diya, excellent summary of the week.

I feel too that the first 3 days should have emphasized more on the track of Thursday and Friday. There were subtle scenes that were immersed through out the week how comfortable and concerned they were about each other - he looking out for her when running down the stairs, her running upstairs to prevent him from taking the wrong medicine, Khushi really happy that he was eating lunch prepared by her, concern for eating the sugar loaded dessert, even in the Friday's episode how effortlessly she stepped down from the bed holding his shoulder.

For now I am ok with Arnav sleeping outside, if the sleeping arrangements are to be changed the CV's better show a proper episode addressing it not a passing scene!

I am all of Khushi's venture and do hope that the track continues as it may give us scenes outside of RM and also hopefully trigger a path for Arnav to think! I don't know if she plans to give the money to her buaji and parents as there was just a dialogue that was mentioned this week (whether they got the pension or not), if she does it will be a nice touch.

Finally I do think Arnav remembers his and her confession and hopefully it will play an important part in the future weeks.

Thanks to all the forum wasis, I watched the essential Sarun/IPK scenes in the SPA awards. The camaraderie that the entire team has is such a pleasure to watch!

Maybe it was just me but I found it odd that the entire show was revolved around characters and even the actors dressed as the characters. I thought it was probably only the opening segment but never realized it was the entire award show! I was very glad to see Sanaya dressed the way she was - very pretty. Nice to see Sarun so thrilled on receiving the jodi awards.

Lets see what this week brings!

Wonderful Diya👏 Couldn't keep it short, could you?😉 Neither could I😆

Holi confession, Arnav remembers Khushi doesn't? Not so sure.
  • Reason - she promised him once again that she wouldn't disclose the truth to anybody ; for her to say that she has to not remember what she told Shyam😆
  • But I think she does remember part of it coz she seemed troubled when he denied & her erratic behavior this week is a direct result of his denial, JMO.
  • Arnav I think remembers the whole thing; that is the reason he didn't flip on her various tantrums. The ASR we know, would have done what she expected, throw her out. He is exercising a lot of patience. Proves he loves her more deeply than I thought he did😳

Khushi has given up on this marriage, she will live her life the way she wants to. A direct result of his denial. It's up to Arnav now to convince her otherwise. He has to make her feel she is indeed his wife.

He was hurt when she said she wants to earn her living but he is the cause of it coz he doesn't make her feel that she indeed is wanted in his life. She is a girl with strong principles- she will never take a loan and not repay it. He should know that by now. I would love it if they showed consistency here, if she had tried repaying the Rs30,000 she took to pay the hospital. But it's a daily show, inconsistencies galore😆

She wants to believe what he says out loud; you will never get the status of my wife, maybe in front of the family but not between us That is a pretty mean thing to say & then to expect the other person to understand your subtle display of care & concern, not happening! I am with her on that. So early in the relationship, you need confirmation of feelings out loud. Maybe after a few years it wouldn't matter so much.

She is rebelling like a child; let me give an excuse for that behavior too😆 She has never been loved & that is why such a erratic behavior. Other than her dad I don't think anyone ever made her feel special. She is really hurt, she always dreamed of her prince charming, she thought she found one but it didn't turn out that way.

He is angry, upset & accuses her of hurting him. She doesn't know why. She tried to find out but it only made things worse; he threatened again & went too far with the fake divorce scenario. I think he has realized it too, since then he has taken a several steps back. We see a much less intense ASR, more Arnav👍🏼

So she gave up & she is now in tantrum mode. Just like an 8 yr old coz she doesn't know how else... To forget her miserable unloved life, she goes around behaving like an 8yr old. Yes, 8 is a significant number in her life! Her emotional maturity stopped there, she lost the 2 people who were her strength at 8. Her parents! Yes, both parents are necessary for every child. She was too young to understand the loss and never really recovered She hides her hurt by this erratic behavior; appears happy but really not!

Agree with you on Shyam & Anjali, they came across as an endearing couple. Kudos to Abhas for deceiving us all, one more time. Their wardrobe contributed to it too...They seem to be getting better clothing than the leads😕

The bathroom tussle, so not required & the rabba ve's were just a wasted opportunity. Even a shirtless ASR didn't help the scene, maybe for some diehard Barun fans😉 Somethings I wasn't clear on - was the office tantrums part of her 100 ideas? It didn't seem like. Well, I would have preferred she worked elsewhere not at AR. She has to be completely independent for ASR to admire her .

Some inconsistencies in direction/script - ASR licking his fingers, something he would never do. "sab ko mere shaadi se problem kya hai yaar..." ASR never would say something so casual. He would be angry and say something like - " Mere shaadi se sabko kya problem hai, dammit! " Khushi 's childish behavior is not inconsistent; it has appeared from time to time. Like running out of the bathroom screaming; we have seen that in the past. It may have been overdone this past week but it was always there. This feels like the lull after La left. They came back with a bang; hopefully we will see that soon.

Dragging Shyam-Khushi sagai exposure to ASR, just doesn't make sense. Something ASR always proudly said, mein dhimaag se kaam kartha hun. Where is the dhimaag now? Even if he was seen to slowly connect the dots, would make sense but he is too busy disciplining his child wife. This week freezing the joint account - step in the right direction👏

After a wash this week, hopefully better sense will prevail & CV's will steer the show were they originally intended it to be.The problem is the holes in the script and a poor attempt at comedy. A good measure of comedy is essential for every show; the content not juvenile.

@ Diya, Just hope that the CV's or the PH read your post (if the news about their spies being on IF is true) and the Hindustan Times article and they get in to some damage control mode. I want them to refocus on the Arnav-Khushi-Shyam track and rescue us from this comedy which at times looks really discontinued. I am all for comedy rather than rhona-dhona if it is integrated properly with the main concept but I was really very disappointed with this week's episodes.

Late to the party again - so many people already covered everything I wanted to say, and did it so much better than I ever could 😆

Great summary - Diya! 👏 You know, most people would love it if BS and SI made regular trips to IF. But as far as I'm concerned, the people who really need to make this a regular pilgrimage spot are the CV's!! You get great summaries, scathing analysis, praise when its due, and most important - road signs for tracks when they're hell bent on driving off the cliff - what more do they need? 😉

Agree on KKGSR starting up a career - smart move to get her out of the house, and even better sign to all those who think a perfect bahu dresses up to the nines each morning and sits around looks decorative *cough* Payal *cough*. But the way they went about developing the track?? 👎🏼 👎🏼

You use your husband's name to get into his office and launch your business - you should have the courtesy to inform him first. Or - go to an entirely different office where they don't know you from Eve, that would have been so much sweeter - she launches her career with NO help from anyone, and what a stark contrast to dear jee-ja-ji the leech! I guess that would have taken far too much effort from a storyline perspective 🤢

I would have loved it if Arnav had been shown to be supportive of her, really thought that was where the CV's were headed when he smiled at her phone conversation on Thursday. Maybe that was too liberated for SP? 😡

Hope springs eternal though - here's looking forward to next week. CV's - I hope you took time off this weekend and got yourselves a nice massage and some serious R&R. 😉

PS: Didn't see the awards yesterday - but heard BS and SI cleaned up. What's with the weird categories anyway? The best "jodi" award? I thought awards were usually for things like best actor, actress, director, etc etc?
