Arnav: chodke hi tho jaane wali ho'

Khushi took her hand away from Arnav's hands...

Khushi: aap...aap yeh kya? hum usski baath nahi kar rahe hai...aap...aapko patha bhi hai hum kitne pareshan hogayethe?? Agar aap gussa the tho aise chale jaathe kya? aap...

Arnav: Khushi calm down...

Khushi: aap kya soch kya rahe the? Agar aapko aise jaana hi tha tho ek baar ppone karke tho batha sakthe the...Hume patha bhi nahi tha ki aap kaha gaye the...agar aapko kuch hogaya tho?!?!?

Arnav seeing Khushi nearly hysterical took her face in his cupped hands and pulled her closer...

Arnav: Khushi!! mein thik hu!! Control yourself!! Mujhe kuch nahi hua hai...

Khushi put her shaking hands on Arnav's. Arnav lifted her head so he can see her face completely...their faces now inches from each other Arnav slowly wiped off Khushi's tears.

Arnav: tum thik ho?

Khushi nodded. Realising their proximity Arnav let go off Khushi...and gestured her to the bed asking her to go to sleep.

2:00 am

Arnav lay down on the couch; it had been a long day. He took a deep breath and looked at Khushi...it looked like she was asleep, as he stared at her Khushi turned to her side facing her back to him. What was he gonna do? Just a few days were left till Anjali's delivery and then she will be gone and he can't do anything about it. He felt completely helpless, he was angry at himself for feeling so helpless ' the feeling was somewhat alien to Arnav. Starting to feel agitated Arnav got off the couch and walked around the room a couple of times before settling on the floor near the poolside door.

Arnav was very young when he realised that if you have power and money no one would be able to stop you, or atleast his experiences as a child taught him that. So, he built a wall around himself which no love or affection or emotion would be able penetrate. But then he met Khushi, from the very first moment he laid his eyes on her (Arnav remembered his show in Sheesh Mehal and seeing Khushi on the ramp for the very first time) something changed. The fear in her eyes, the innocence on her face, Arnav could see it like it happened yesterday. Since that day Khushi started breaking down Arnav's wall which over the years became so high that Arnav thought no one would ever be able to break it. But, break she did ' brick by brick.

At first Arnav was angry that Khushi...who was a complete opposite to Arnav had this kind of an impact on him. He was angry at himself but always vented it out on the poor girl, and when she got hurt by his harsh words...he would always lie to himself he does not care. It took him a long time to finally open up his heart to Khushi, crush the wall around him and accept that he was in love with her. Even when he did finally accept it, he did so cautiously. Arnav opened the poolside door partially, finding relief when the cool breeze of the night hit his face. Another flash from the memory and Arnav remebered Khushi and Shyam on the terrace hugging. The pain he felt when he saw the two on the terrace that night ' he thought he would never be alright, ever again. The one person he had finally let his gaurd down for took an aim straight at his heart. But, he should have had faith on his love, he should have trusted Khushi.

Again the thought of Khushi leaving crossed his mind. Fear rushed through his body, how will he ever be able to live without her? Frustration welled up in Arnav as his eyes became wet with tears. He never thought he was capable of so much crying...as if just to prove that he can tears started rolling down his cheeks uncontrollably.

2:20 am

Khushi woke up from a restless sleep as Arnav's chodke hi tho jaane wali ho kept ringing in her ears. As she turned around in her bed, Khushi noticed that the couch in which Arnav was supposed to be sleeping was empty'raising up on one of her elbows Khushi squinted her eyes to see through the dark'there sitting on the floor next to the semi-opened poolside door was Arnav. Trying not to make any noise she got off the bed and slowly went to him'

As Khushi came closer, Arnav quickly wiped his tears. Opening the poolside door completely, Khushi sat next to him.

Arnav: sorry Khushi'tumhe jaga diya?

Khushi shook her head in response. She looked at Arnav for a moment before slowly gliding her fingers on his skin and held his hand.

Both sat there for the next fifteen minutes; hand in hand, not a single word exchanged. Arnav looked down at their entwined fingers and felt Khushi's soft, delicate hand in his. This felt so normal now...holding each other's hands, being with each other. He tightened his grip on Khushi's hand. Arnav looked up at Khushi'the tears he secretly wiped off, now shining on his cheeks under the moonlight.

Arnav: I am sorry Khushi. Mein jaantha hu mere ek sorry se jo bhi hua woh badal nahi jaayega. Par mein darr gaya tha...mere Di ke liye...apne liye darr gayatha. Math jao Khushi'iss ghar ko'mujhe chodke'please'please...

It hurt Khushi as she felt his pain in those words. Her heart screamed in agony'the tears she was fighting came pouring down. Khushi was exhausted. She did not want to fight with Arnav anymore. She did not want to be angry at him anymore. She did not want to see him hurting anymore. She had enough. It was time to start everything new...give each other another chance, give their love another chance. Because the truth was no matter how angry they were at each other, no matter how much they thought they 'hate' each other - by the end of the day...Arnav and Khushi cannot live without each other.

8:00 am

The early morning rays slowly crept into their room. As the rays hit their faces Arnav opened his eyes. He stared at the ceiling for a while remembering everything that happend last night and then slowly lowering his eyes, Arnav looked at his wife cuddled very close to him.

With a faint smile on her face Khushi was deep asleep. Arnav turned to face Khushi. He cautiously raised his hand up to her face and slowly grazed her soft skin with the back of his hand. Arnav felt peaceful watching her sleep.

Khushi turned a few times in her sleep - everytime she turned, Arnav adjusted himself around her. After a few more twists and turns Khushi felt a warm and tingling sensation on her cheeks left by Arnav's fingers. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Arnav...very close to her...she stared at him for a few seconds before her hand instinctively went up to her heart. Arnav seeing this reaction from Khushi gave her a knowing smile'he slowly lifted Khushi's free hand and put it over his own heart...

Dhak dhak...Dhak dhak...

Khushi felt Arnav's heart under her hand, beating just as fast as Khushi's. Both starred at each other for a few seconds before laughing out loud. As their laughs subsided Arnav moved closer to Khushi and placed a loving kiss on her forehead and whispered in her ears...

Arnav: Good Morning!

Yup! After many, many months of sleepless nights and bad mornings, it was finally a very good morning!
