The Bedroom Shock (Part 9)

It was a Sunday morning with the sun rising giving its blessing to another day on this beautiful Earth. Lavanya opened her drapes with a swift move making the rays of the Sun bring life into her dull room where it seemed that it was lonesome yearning for someone's company.

Lavanya was wearing her midnight blue coloured night gown., big puffy eye bags distracted the attention the nightgown deserved, she hadn't slept all night thinking what she had ever done in life to deserve this betrayal. Her king size bed was still adorned with the beautiful bed covers which seemed untouched.

She went and had her morning jog and came back to the RM all sweating, like she had just tooken all her frustrations out. Lavanya went across the hallway with a pace that was not normal for someone that had just came back from jogging for 1 hour. She bumped into the person she had no wish to talk to, Karan.

"Sorry" squeaked a wimp weak less Lavanya. Karan noticed her eye bags and her pale face which would be normally covered with make up.

"Lavanya, I need to talk to you URGENTLY" said Karan with a firm yet gentle tone making sure she obliges without any questions. With that order he left from there towards the same gazebo he once spilt the truth. Lavanya just followed him like a lost puppy.

Khushi came down at the dining table wondering where Lavanya and Karan were. She noticed Arnav left for the office, she was kind of disappointed that she didn't see his face in the morning but didn't have a reason to say why.

"Nani ji, where is Karan and Lavanya" exclaimed Khushi in-between mouthfuls of food. Nani didn't have a clue either. Anjali then came walking in and said that Hari Prakash saw them leave for a jog in the morning.

Khushi then had no worries and carried on with her food.

"Khushi betiya, I know this isn't the right time to ask but do you have that appointment today with the doctor" said Nani ji holding Khushi's hand across the table. Khushi froze she remembered that this appointment would let her know her abortion date. For some reason she was scared to lose this baby, it became a part in her life that she felt impossible to let go. Khushi nodded and that was it she didn't give out any expressions. Anjali held her shoulders and mouthed that everything would be alright when she knew that at the pit of her stomach something bad was going to happen today.

Karan and Lavanya both were at the gazebo staring at the bright sky, both lost for words, Karan decided to break the silence. Karan was about to apologise for what he had said last night but his words went strayed with a sudden tight bear hug and the sound of sobbing.

"Lavanya, what's the matter" Karan said lifting Lavanya's lifeless face. Lavanya didn't have the strength to say anything to anyone so she ran as fast as she could to her room and banged her bedroom door shut. Last night was just the beginning of this truth but now the truth hit her hard and she didn't like it one bit. She cried her yes out and leaned against her door for support but that went into futile as she fell on the ground closing her eyes with all of the images of her and Arnav's memories. The time they first met in their first meeting together, the time Arnav helped her when she was getting bullied by goons, their first dance together, the times Arnav and her laughed at each other because of their stupidity. Lavanya recalled the first time Arnav said he liked her but she didn't realise that she fell for him so hard that she was satisfied with him just liking her, she never asked him if he loved her from the heart.

Lavanya then had all the flashbacks of when Khushi entered their lives and how she changed every bodies life in a positive light. Arnav changed drastically and everybody around her was a different person as a whole.

Khushi and Anjali were in the car on their way to the hospital for the appointment, Khushi's heartbeat were uncontrollable, this was it, she had to get her reason of existence out of her life no matter how much she wanted to keep it. Anjali just looked on helpless,

"Khushi ji, I am so sorry for you doing this," Anjali said not making any eye contact and turning to look into the car window. Anjali knew that this was a big sacrifice but she was just as helpless because she had to think about Lavanya's future as well.

Arnav came back from another tiring day in office and called Om Prakash to take his briefcase and get him a cup of coffee. As Arnav was walking past the living room he noticed a awkward silence in the house with nobody in sight. Arnav inquired about every bodies whereabouts and Om Prakash replied,

"Karan has gone to a hotel, because he said something about being alone for a couple of days and Lavanya is at the spa and the rest are at the hospital because Khushi ji just had an operation and she is in intensive care"

Arnav froze at the last part of the sentence and just collapsed on the sofa near him. Om Prakash got scared and tried to help up Arnav but Arnav with one swift shove moved Om Prakash out of the way , Arnav grabbed his car keys from the coffee table and stormed out in his SUV with no second thought. Crazy thoughts were going through his head about the outcome of this abortion and one of thoughts were that Khushi would leave him forever. The thought made him shiver but he didn't know what made him scared of the separation of him and Khushi. That night was just a mistake but it was the most magical night ever. He didn't know that Khushi had that sort of passion that made him crazy over her that night. But the weird thought he had was that Lavanya have had sex plenty of times but that one time with Khushi wasn't as magical. But all that passion, anger, intimacy had all gone with one operation. Arnav didn't want the memory of that night to disappear from his world. He wanted to play with his and KHUSHIS child, he wanted to tease Khushi about their new born child, he wanted to compare the babies features to her perfect ones. Arnav reached the hospital and ran for his life and when he reached there he saw Anjali and Nani ji sobbing. Arnav ran up to his sister and asked her where is Khushi and where is his child, even though he knew that his unborn child had left this world. Anjali just gave a sympathetic look and hugged him which made Arnav's eyes tear up. Nani ji came from consulting with the nurse and saw Arnav and Anjali hugging and crying.

"Chote why are you crying, and Anjali beta why is Chote so upset". Arnav shot up straight away and straightened his shirt and wiped his tear filled face. Anjali was trying to look for an excuse but she got interrupted by Arnav. Arnav was in full anger mode, he couldn't take it no more. Nani ji I will tell you why I am crying. Anjali held his hand and mouthed not to go their. Arnav was in no mood to heed anyone and got his sisters hands of him.

"Nani ji, I am crying cause I 'm upset over the fact that Khushi has lost her baby" Arnav said rooted their at the spot with a very dull face.

Nani ji was getting confused and asked Arnav, " Chote why are you upset, its not like you lost your child, and I thought you don't like Khushi ji so why are you mourning for her know".

Arnav didn't want to keep his Nani ji in the darkness anymore and decided to confess, " Nani ji, I know you are going to be shocked in hearing this but that baby that just got aborted was Khushi's and mine baby, we crated it and Khushi took my right of being a father without consulting me, and she even put her life on the line for other peoples happiness. Nani ji was not at all surprised, she actually was glad that her grand son had accepted his feelings without him realising himself.

"Chote I know" Nani ji said placing her hands on hi shoulders which shocked Arnav and Anjali. "Chote in life you don't realise that the one person that you hate the most that is the person that you will have just as much attraction to later on down the line, you and Khushi ji had a attraction and that was so clear because if you remember that evening when Anjali was yelling at you for being more responsible and manning up to your responsibilities, since that day I 've got my eyes on the situations around the house and it clearly shows that you are in love, madly in love. A brain wave went through his head and he just realised that he did love and that is why he found that one night so magical because as they say that the person you fall in love with that is who you are going to have magical moments with.
