That was such a sweet and heart warming story. Mushy, no doubt, but much needed on a day like this to counter the muck in the show.
I loved the idea of the cherry blossom falling and peonies are one of my favourite flowers, it's a lovely picture you've created .

Ok...you might think that I am crazy, but I can just not help but comment again!

That was honestly the most beautiful thing I've ever read! Probably because I can feel the depth of their emotions 'cause it's an adaptation of IPKKND and we all are so well aware of the plot and whatever's going on.

In the end when Shyster burns the tree and Ruff-ruff finds her with the remains of what he treasures the most, their reactions are just heart-breakingly beautiful! [if that's even a word]

When Ruff ruff came home some hours later, he found Mushy sitting at the foot of the tree, hugging its trunk, sobbing. His heart stopped for moment when he saw the tree burnt down. Then he saw Mushy. And it resumed its firm, steady rhythm again. Dhak-dhak. Dhak-dhak.Dhak-dhak.

Mushy looked up at him, tears streaming down her face. "I couldn't save the tree. Your tree, it's gone. I'm so sorry. It's my fault. I should've gone with Shyster."

"The tree is burnt. Its roots are alive. It will grow again. We will replant it and tend it together. But if you were gone, my heart would stop beating."

Mushy and Ruff ruff walked into their home together, where they lived happily ever after.

Mushy is crying because she could not save what he loves the most...just the way Khushi tried to keep Shyam's truth from Arnav 'cause she knows how much he loves his sister. And she couldn't bear the thought of putting him through that kind of hurt.

And then Ruff-ruff says,

"The tree is burnt. Its roots are alive. It will grow again. We will replant it and tend it together. But if you were gone, my heart would stop beating."

Though Shyaam has ruined his sister's life because of Khushi...the same way that Shyster burns the tree for Mushy, Ruff-ruff knows that they can nurture the tree back to life. And I hope, that Arnav too will come to this realization.

I'm truly in love with what you've written. And trust me I'm very lazy when it comes to leaving comments. I usually don't if I can help it. Or usually leave a smiley or a couple of words if I do. But you've forced me to rant all the way through like a crazy lady!😆

Gosh! I loved this! I usually don't comment just hit like but this was Sooo cute and the parallels..! I could see khushi and Arnav right there by the anjali tree! Shyster! Hahaha epic!

This is a story I would like to tell my kids some day! Totally bookmarking it for the future - I have a huge grin on my face! Love your work! Keep it up!

That is the cutest os i have ever read...

Im defo going to remember this one all my life...ill tell it to my lil sister as her bedtime story n to my kids too (long time away)...

That was actually really, really, really cute. You have a way with words. And this was such a cute little fairytale, that by the end of it I had the biggest grin on my face and I was taken back to my childhood when I loved reading these fairytales.

I must admit I was hoping for a showdown between Ruff ruff and Shyster, but it still worked out really well.

Not sure if you were intending this, but I thought the tree to be Anjali, and that Shyam tries to hurt Anjali, but Khushi and Arnav tend to her together and fight Shyam off together.

Very cute. Loved it! :)
