i think in real life it is hard for a woman, with ASR traits, to find a love..

yes, I figured this thought must have passed through the minds of many women watching the show.

hopefully, they come out in answer of that.

I personally wouldn't use my past to hurt people in my harsh manners and words, as my past was my learning curve for who I am today and who I want to be tomorrow...but that's just me.
I agree with the other forum members, if the role was reversal, Khushi becomes KKG (ASR version) and ASR becomes Arnav ji, apart from the man handling I think the story line would be similar and in the end it would be the continuous TLC given by and received by the characters that would help them to overcome whatever barriers they have in life...and also trust...which is the most important as there ain't no point in loving someone if you don't trust them.

Wow I went on...see that's what you do to me with your post woman😉

Good to know that my posts make you rant.😉

I really hope that what you say is true - the 'storyline' remains similar'.

But I really feel more assured about it if I heard about some examples of it from real life and not the fiction that everybody keeps citing here.😔

Yes, I can see that is difficult to answer. Not many people are taking a shot at it. 😊

And yeah, just wanted to know if there were ASR type girls out there in reality who have found that kind of love themselves.

@siona. ya, dear. Khushi's character is cut out ( and still being cut ) to suit ASR's in every which way possible. I hope, if ASR's character had to be made to suit every whims and fancy of an arrogant, bitchy Khushi, if that would have gone down well.

@barun2297. thanks dear. There are some difference between what I am saying and what Hitler didi shows. I will quote a part of Smriti (SJ)'s reply on this account.

" Hitler didi does show a scarred woman, but even she is open to love and wants a partner in life, however, she has monumental responsibilities that prevent her from encourage any normal stirrings of love and desire in her. In that respect, her scars are eulogized and upheld for the better good of the family.

ASR's scars are not due to his current familial situation, its a relic of his past that he refuses to let go."

In any case, I am looking for examples from real life than reel life but thanks again.😊

Well, firstly I think it would be difficult for someone to understand a person like ASR. It would be difficult for someone like ASR in real life to find a girl who will try to understand and love him despite his tough mean exterior. Its not a easy thing. And there is also a possibilty that girls will be attracted to him for money, status, etc and not for his personality per se. So the idea of girl understanding his soft side, putting up with his mean side and her love changing him... all this is a rare possibilty. I don't think in real life, this would be a common happening. And plus these rare events (instead of common happenings) are more interesting to watch on TV - they make good fiction.
Now to your question... what if it was a girl with ASR characteristics. Again it would probably be a very rare chance for such a girl to find someone who would truly love and understand her. But again it would not be an easy or a common thing.
Note: When I said ASR characteristics, I meant the tragic past, trust issues, the pushing down the first floor, the gold-digger insult, etc... not just a bit of hot temper.

@bold. I mean these things as well when I say ASR characteristics. :) That is why I was not buying that analogy with "Hitler Didi". But in reality (since no one has till now proved me otherwise), even 'hot temper' in a girl might be inexcusable as opposed to being "macho" in a male.

Yes, well, hopefully cases like ASR as a male also are rare in real life. But, what I wonder is why do we still like to see and 'appreciate' (because many people right in this forum do that) a story with the male being like that more than a story where a woman is like that?

Do we, even as women, fantasize about a man like that and the challenge associated with winning him over etc..more than men fantasize about winning over such women in real life in the society?

Because, the trend of trying to uphold ASR by hook or crook no matter what he does in the name of tragic past and the trend of coming up strongly against Khushi if she so much as raises her voice to ASR is of some concern. I keep thinking, with all this going on, Khushi will soon also have a 'tragic past'. If she starts behaving 'dysfunctionally' will everybody understand and love her SO much to bring her out of it??
