regardless of whether Arnav likes the sangeet or not, he should be there - it's his family! honestly, refusing to spend 3 hrs one evening doing something he doesn't like, even though it'll make everyone else in the family happy, is obnoxious and ridiculous.
i will say it was stupid for the cvs to even bring up the whole "cancelling sangeet" issue. but in this context arnav's stubbornness is wrong and hurtful. can you imagine if your brother or sister refused to attend your WEDDING SANGEET because they don't like loud music?!?! I mean, arnav is a businessman - he's been to a bunch of parties (where there is noise and music) and he's prob had to sit through meetings he doesn't like. so it's unfairly stubborn of him to skip out on his own brother's wedding sangeet.
in that sense, i can see how the family is justified in trying to persuade him. but, i do agree that khushi and anjali shouldn't manipulate the soft corner he has for them. though anjali has been doing that from the start - whether it is going to the mandir or attending a pooja - she always pulls that baby face. funny how there isn't so much objection then, but all of a sudden Khushi tells her to do that, and the whole forum is in uproar.
