Yes, he almost blurted the truth of his feeling to her...but it was not about love, it was about possession--- Khushi has always been at his beck and call, his to torture, protect or rescue, so all he feels is she is HIS property. And with her engagement, he feels she has betrayed that "RIGHT".

I do hope that he will soften up as time goes on though, because I don't think any of us wants to put Khushi in mortal danger!!

@Anonymous - yes, I loved the fact that he acknowledged that she was a hard worker - but it was also a sideways dig because he is complimenting her in the context of doing the hard work for a project she worked on - getting La and ASR together - which he knows she wept about.

@Premparbat - I also think they are back to challenge days of the office. And we all know ASR never gets the result he thinks he's going to get out of those challenges. He ends up saving her despite his attempts to make her crack. ASR is impulsive about KKG - that is why she is so under his skin, but this decision was intentional but I agree, I don't think he understands or realizes the ramifications of what will happen if she understands kyun farak padte.

@Tink - they are such good players at round round. I love you but I have to stay away from you so I hurt you but then I get hurt seeing you hurt because I love you but I have to stay away from you ...damn I am dizzy 🤪 But yeah, this is getting so deliciously complicated and so many fronts are about to explode - can't wait - kind of like watching trains collide - you don't want to see it, but can't help looking (especially when the eye candy is so damn tasty!)

Our innocent and naive Khushi lied . WHy ?

She is not innocent as she is supposed to be . She is good but not innocent .

She misses her parents but never let her "babuji" and "Amma" know that. She does not agree with everything Buaji says but nods her head to keep peace in the family . She keeps her secret feelings for Arnav hiden from Payal her dearest jiji

She is a diplomat , an experinced home-maker . What we learn after 10 years of adult "sansar-life" , she has learned from her pre-teen years .

So Khushi lied and defended her fiance . She doesnt get any pleasure from Shyam , she doesnt enjoy his company but she defended him . Why ?

That is her way of hiding her feelings from Arnav . She wants Arnav to come out and claim her .otherwise she will not give up.

Arnav wants her to say she loves him and will be only happy with him. Then he will lay his heart, mind, body and soul at her feet ( I wrote this in another thread) He may not do with with a declaration to the whole world . he may not even let khushi know . But he will be there , at her feet, always. Arnavs anger has no bounds , his love will also have none

Also, 'bluff' is not a bluff - it is ASR's way of telling Kh that what she said about him being 'worried' and 'unhappy' is NOT TRUE - he wants to show her that not only is he willing to marry La but he wants the engagement as soon as possible.

Ofcourse, by tomorrow, he'll change his mind cos La may say that her family cannot be here at such a short notice and Naniji may make a 'mahurat' argument , so ASR will HAVE to relent to defer the ceremony for a month - but at a price - Kh will do the arrangements. It's simply a way to ensure that Kh is mentally tortured by the very fact that she will be arranging for her love's engagement while simultaneously ASR will have satisfaction of seeing her discomfort. That will make him feel like HE 'WON' OVER THE OTHER GUY, THAT HE WON OVER KH'S PRIDE, THAT HE WON -when actually he will lose and lose big!

I think ASR is going to get a BIG SHOCK when he sees that Kh is not that much perturbed doing the arrangements - what ASR does not realize is that Kh has accepted her fate - WHILE ASR HASN'T (he makes his own fate remember - that's why he is unpredictable and a nutcase - apart from being a self-made tycoon) - so she will not react to various arrangements like HE EXPECTS HER TO - making him more agitated.

THE ONLY REASON HE WANTS A RESPONSE/CONFESSION IS TO SATISFY HIS OWN EGO THAT YEAH, THE GIRL DID LOVE HIM, HAS ACKNOWLEDGED IT TO HIM - SO THAT HE CAN FEEL HE 'WON' OVER THE OTHER MAN! And that's about it. ASR will do NOTHING if and when he finds out that Kh loves him - cos that is beside the point remember? And Kh will NEVER break off her engagement even if and when she confesses - cos that is beside the point as well (her family comes first).

ASR will get angry that she is going ahead with the sagai despite confessing she loves him, and will be even more mean to her - displaying affection to La as a ruse to displease/ hurt Kh. And Kh will b more miserable cos she will have hell in RM and feel like she IS IN hell with the non-compatible 'dates' with to-be-hubby Shyam.

It is all a power play by ASR - but for reasons other than those u mentioned - COS EVEN IF KH ADMITTED TO LOVING HIM - HE CAN'T GIVE HER WHAT SHE WUD WANT - A MARRIAGE COS HE HAS HIS EGO, PAST & EVERYTHING HE HAS STOOD FOR FOR 26 YEARS TO THINK OF!

And it will get even more interesting with P/Akash marriage talk. And yeah, it IS getting very very interesting!
