ASR's little soliloquy about why marry someone you don't love, why live with them, why be unhappy. I didn't think this realization was about him - as he knows why he is unhappy. He has chosen the path he is on, willingly, in an attempt to keep himself away from Khushi - big fail - but an attempt nonetheless. What he is upset about is why Khushi is doing this to herself. He knows that she loves him and there are feelings there, so why is she settling. We have to remember that when all is said and done, ASR never wants Khushi to be unhappy, never wants her to feel pain (yes yes, I know he torments her but he is also her hero and her pillar for support that she cannot get anywhere else). And of course, if she would just acknowledge a little bit to him, who knows what he would do, especially now that he knows what loss and heartbreak feel like. So in this little speech to himself, with a dumbfounded Anjali in the background, he is telling us that he understands that KKG is in love with him, that she will be unhappy without him. That's big for a khadoos.

The engagement is a total power play by ASR. The impetus for his decision, and it was a decision, not his off the handle impulse -as his La marriage announcement was - was the conversation he had on the stairs with KKG. When he asked her why she was unhappy, he is telling her tell me what I know already. But what does KKG do, she defends her fiance!!! She says he makes me happy in the ways that are not related to money. And then she goes on to say, if money were everything why aren't you happy, ask yourself that first. But ASR already knows why he is unhappy, he has pieced it together and to force her hand and call her bluff about how happy she is with a man whose bank balance might be low but character is high he decides to prepone the engagement and have her do the planning. The glance he gives her on his way out is totally 'I am going to call your bluff and make you face the music.'

And there is no way if ASR just flat out asked her 'why do you look so sad, are you happy' she would answer him. That is the tactic that Anjali used, and she got no response. He wants Khushi to realize and name that which shall not be named.😆 He wants her to admit something to herself, so that she can admit why she is unhappy, stop pretending that everything is okay and maybe then choose a path towards happiness, hopefully with ASR's help. In short (although this is one long ass post - sorry), he wants her to figure out why he said 'what are you doing ' and 'farak padta hai'.

They are both playing the same game, except they are playing like they are against each other when they were on the same team all along.

But I hate the confident ASR who is just so sure Khushi is in love with him because his confidence has no logic it is simple pride how can he expect Khushi to fall in love with him when he had always insulted her, reminded her of her aukat and even questioned her character though we know he loves him but has he ever expressed his love to Khushi.

@current: yeah, Shyamu is definitely looking to get off scot free - too soon for the story to reveal.
@momma1128: agreed...love the fact that ASR has upped the ante...can't wait to see what unfolds next, but he is really very concerned about Khushi...awww

Moreover if this doesn't happen Max to max Khushi will confess her feelings to Arnav, but will not let ASR break his engagement for La and neither will she break her engagement as she believes his marriage with Shyam can help Babuji to recover faster and moreover she has debts to pay.

Game on!!!let them play because the bottom line is they are both digging their own graves for what to make the other realise that farak nahi partha!!!You go your way and i'll go my way...what ever way they both choose will lead them back to each other anyway because they are meant to be and that's what they are failing to realise they are on the same path, lol the sooner they admit it the better it will be for them and us!!These 2 are a right pair 😆 playing against each other yet forgetting they are both on the same page...you hurt me you hurt yourself too because we are connected!!
it's tit for tat they just retaliate to the pain the other causes i just love it!!!The best bit is they both know it!!Arnav is Khusi's prince charming, and Khushi is Arnavs ray of hope both are too arrogant to express it too each other...he won't for the fear of getting his heart broken and she won't for the fear of rejection the reasons the same!!
Arnav's return of Khushi Kumari Gupta brings out the Mr Raizada in Khushi it is pure entertainment i can picture them saying "fine you wanna play it like that then so be it"...Arnav is sooo calling her bluff how long before you crack and come running up to me, but i can put money on it that it aint happening Khushi is just as teet as him, he will be the first to lay his heart down and that too out of sheer frustration..or they may do it at the same time!!
He's pathetic attempts to cover up his pain don't phase Khushi because she reads through him, she doesn't hear his words she knows he expresses through his eyes, both are waiting for the other to give in the fun is who will crack first chalo lets put bets in 😆

@Radhe - good to have you back! I feel that this is all an attempt to make her understand that question that he asked with a broken heart.

@Su - I know even ASR will bring the world to her feet if necessary, once she accepts him, but we are such a long way from there. He will however quietly be her hero as he has been for the past few months, if she lets him.
