Barun is still not that good as ASR - Page 10

I have to disagree with the topic maker. Personally I think bArun is a superb actor. The way barun expresses arnav emotions through his eyes, not many actors can do that. The way barun expresses his emotions, it paints a thousand words. I think every scene with barun he just steals the show. At the end of the day everyone is entitled to their opion as the forum is open to discussions like this. But by being actor , they are always improving and becoming the best . Therefore barun is doing a fantastic job!

beacuse you dont know what is real acting. and how well his timing his .. here ASR character is like that. he doesnt get to speak much but he still expresses what he feels. and how doeses that with his expressions ..

i loveee barun as arnav ...he totally rocksss the scenes...and i personally think that it has his role to play an angry young man ...and to do tht he cant smile and play around sooo i think he is doing amazing as arnav 👍🏼

You can't possibly be serious, and say Barun still isn't good as ASR? HE IS!! As he was Shravan (on BHPH). This guy can do comedy, drama, passion, romance and more! He's got a rare talent not every young actor can say he has! He never over acts or spoils his character.

There's more to it than his handsome appearance in his portrayal of ASR. Barun gives away a raw performance, but still manages to show us much more emotion and depth, even with just an expression in his eyes or the way he walks. The thing that seems very difficult to me, is that he manages to show 2 extremes of him side by side, without making it unrealistic. And the way he switches between those sides, with such ease! Cruel ASR is ASR, and the ASR who's looking at Khushi secretly, also ASR! 2 sides of him a very beautiful treat for me 😃 I love both of them..he's an angel and demon in 1 😆

In the beginning he was all cruel and very harsh towards Khushi. Now he shows a bit of affection towards her (carrying her everytime Khushi faints, which she does more often than is good for her). These last few episodes I also noticed ASR is changing for the better...very very slowly. Just look at the way he behaves when La is near. And when Khushi is near. Just like Sunaina said, he gave her a look when she walked out the mandir, as if he was saying, 'You know you're going to be mine...'

About the slow change in ASR, the character ASR isn't meant to change swiflty. That wouldn't be realistic. He's complicated. Barun knows that, we know this. He comes with a package, a history. He manages to keep that in mind, and not forget everything just because Khushi is near. ASR has protected himself with these walls around him, which makes him cruel towards everyone else except his sister. And now, Khushi. So...Barun is defo managing ASR and he gives away a mindblowing performance.

Just the way I look at it. Seriously, even if you don't like Barun, at least give him credits for his acting, because this guy is born to act! That's a fact.

Oh , may be you all think her acting ability is of the same class as say Reese Witherspoon or Meryl Streep . It is unfortunate that Bollywood did not recast her after Faanaa and thus lost a chance of getting an OSCAR .

And how could even filmfare ignore her and not give her the best supporting actress award in 2006 !!!!

Sorry for my sarcasm but I do think Sanaya fans never criticise her and thus not giving her a chance to improve too.

lol..of course she needs to improve...this post was not critisizing her so i dont wanna be off topic...plus i dont wanna argue to much abt this...but indirectly blaming sanaya for losing oscars is kinda ... harsh...shud i add...her role was like for 5 mins...n i donno why bollywood didnt take her..its not my lookout...i mean she'll go if she wants to...n for the case of sanaya...she was not good in mjht ... she soo needed to improve...but as per her enhanced acting abilities...we meant it for ipkknd...i really like she job shes doing here..if u watch mjht ..she sucked..well her character also sucked..but i think she improved wayy to much to the point where i canseethe contrast between gunjan n khushi...like ppl say if u watch barun in bhph...hes very good..same way if u watch her in mjht..n now this..u'll see ..she is very good too...

@Sunaina- Eventhough u are far elder than me, i do maintain the respect which i should have for u. I dont mean to be harsh or blunt at all in my post, And i hope tht ur reply wud be the among the same lines.

I think the major lack here is you have not seen Baat Hamri Paki Hai. If you had, then you be stunned the way Barun has playing ASR. it is not easy to go from expressions everywhere, to loud expressions, to so many various shades, to just stand there. You know the first Tu bata Maula, everyone had different expressions to give, hope, happiness but he just stood there, because the character itself is complex. He's not supposed to give expressions than you can figure out. He's not supposed to be a character whom you can read easily. and that's gonna be the point of their love story, when she will be able to read him without words, be able to look him in the eyes and clearly speak.
