ASHLOK OS - GHAR KI LAKSHMI - ASTA LAKSHMI .
Story :
Shlok and Astha were on their way from Bombay after 8 years to Pune.Astha's eyes were closed. She was recollecting the first day, Anjali saying take your right leg and step inside the house.Pray God and then come to Kitchen.Act like a Agnihotri parivar ki bahu. After sometime the SUV hit on a speed breaker and Astha came out of her trance. Shlok have we reached home. No baby.We are on our way ,Sorry .Pl continue with your sleep. No Shlok Im fine. Few more minutes and we are home. She was all in glee to reach her home after 8 years.
After 8 years.. they come to Anjali Nivas . The name board was hanging tilted on the wall. The walls of the building had not been painted in many years. The plants were dead due to absence of water. Everywhere they could see spiders and cobwebs hanging ,dirt and dust, rats and insects .The building had not been maintained in so many years. Anjali Nivas had now become home for many of them. Yes,it had become home for many of them, they were rats and rodents and insects not humans.
Shlok and Astha after 8 years they come to Anjali Nivas.By seeing the house condition Astha's eyes becomes wet.Tears from her eyes pour down.She is unable to control her sobs,she breaks down and is about to fall down,Shlok holds her and gives his shoulder for support. Astha,Pls control.You are not supposed to get sensitive and emotional. It is not good for you in this condition.Shlok..Please do something.I cannot see our house like this.Please, do something.
Finally both compose themselves and Astha opens the door after 8 years. She sees the Hand Print left on the wall.It was her first day in their home,Anjali Nivas.On the sweekriti rasam ,Anajali asked Astha to dip her hands in the red water and leave the hand impression on the wall, next to hers and Sojals. She asked to hit on the rice filled kalash and enter the house and asked to dip her leg in the red water and walk straight to pooja room leaving the leg print trails, announcing that HER LAKSHMI HAD FINALLY COME HOME . .THAT WAS ASTHA..
Astha came out of the trance.Shlok called Astha and asked her to eat something. Astha, I have informed Seetha, she will come now and clean the house.Don't worry it will happen as you wish. Seetha arrives and hugs Astha and says, Vahini kaise hai aap.Aap chale gaye aur ghar aise hogaya.Dekhiye na , Vahini .Astha says , Seetha mujhe madad karo.. meri ghar ko ghar banana ke liye. Seetha happily says yes.. and they start getting into work.
Shlok is also recollecting things.. The house in this condition.. and the house being empty.. Everything runs in a flash..
That particular day when Sid and Jo were to get married , a stranger gets inside the house. He removes the main fuse and leaves the house with no power and doomed. It was Abhay he had come in disguise to take revenge on NA.Since it was dark and Anjy was keeping candles everywhere she came to keep one in NA's study. She saw the shadow and hid herself behind the pillar. NA and Abhay were arguing and he took a big Knife was about to kill NA.Anjy got In mid for saving NA and got killed by Abhay. Her last words to NA was,Pl let peope live as they are, don't be in paramparas and dominant.NA understood the mistake and the result of is which ended in Anjy's death. He always said Anjy as " AAP IS GHAR KI LAKSHMI HAIN" , She lived so, she saved her hubby from the villain and died before her Patiparameshwar.
After that incident, NA had become paralytic and died in another 2 years. None wanted to stay in Anjali Nivas, Varad and family moved to US.Jo and family in Kolhapur. Shlok and Astha in Mumbai.After that incident they dint want to stay in Anjali nivas.They moved to Mumbai and have been living there.
The current day, Seetha and Astha together join hands and start working on the house. One by one, one room by room , they arrange the furniture, they remove the dust, they call the painters and gets the paint fixed, Shlok takes care of the garden and plants. Finally after 4 days of nonstop effort, the house gets it charm like before. The lights are on.
Shlok and Astha are in their bedroom.Shlok, tomorrow is Varalakshmi vrat.You know I keep every year for you and our family.This year I know Im not supposed to , but I want to do the vrat.Will you give me permission pls. Astha, you know right .. I don't believe in all those things, but only for a day. You will have fruits and juice. If that is a deal then you can. Whats say honey. She says yes and sleep.
The next day morning Astha and Seetha go to the market. They do their shopping and return. Astha, decorates the house with flowers, lights. Time is 10pm.Shlok comes and says, hey baby lets go and sleep , it is not good for your health now. Pl come now to bed. She says, shlok pls.. for some more time, Im done with the work. I will come. Pl go and sleep. I know gal you will not listen .come soon.
Astha is decorating the Mandir, the Lakshmi goddess .She drapes a Silk - Kanchee puram Saree for the Goddess, She puts Kajal , keeps Bindi ,keeps dristhi - Kaala tika for the goddess, She makes a long tied hair with nagras all over and ties it with a Paranda in the end. She decks up the Goddess with lots of Jewels and many varieties of Flowers, She keeps Lotus on the base .
And the Goddess is not our usual Statue. She keeps a platter with Rice equally spread , and a Kalash with Dry fruits filled with Goddess make up kit pack .The kid contains , black bangles, Turmeric and Kumkum, a Small mirror, a small perfume bottle etc. The trick is the kalash is hollow and very little stuff inside the kalash .She keeps five beetle leaves in a flower shape like flower petals and keeps a Coconut In the centre as Goddess face. She did have Lakshmi's Mukha vata.She keeps that, with her forehead filled with yellow and Red.
The kalash is the Goddess Lakshmi and the decorations for the Goddess like draping saree, tied her hair, flowers decoration etc.. Finally the Mandir too.. Astha told she will return by 10. But time was 3 am . Shlok woke up and saw for Astha. He could not find her. He went down ,she was not there in Mandir too.Finally after so much search , she wa in the entrance of the house. She was hanging the Mango leaf , thorana on the door frame and finally settling for putting Rangloi. Shlok says , AStha not now.Pl ,you need to sleep honey.No Shlok, Im ok and finally Rangoli. I will put and come. PL you go and sleep .Finally he understands that he cannot win this war , and settles along with her to finish the Rangoli. They finish in no time.
Next day was the Lakshmi Pooja .She woke up early morning and did sweets, varieties of dishes. She made Holige,Channa kootu, Carrot Halwa,Vada , Payasam, Vegetable Pulao,Raitha,Rotis, some subsi, Cucumber with Moongdhal Salad, Rice rasam and papad.
Next day morning , she was fasting . NO sargi . nothing. She woke up early in the morning and did the Pooja,Shlok accompanied her in no time.
She sang the song ..
LAKSHMI BARAMMA , BAGYA LAKSHMI BARAMMA..
That year... after 8 years.. Anjali Nivas regained its lost charm.. by entry of GHAR KI LAKSHMI, Ashtalaksmi - the eight goddesses of Wealth, Earth, Learning, Love, Fame, Peace, Pleasure, and Strength. . - ASTHA .
In fact Astha was the Asta Lakshmi of the House.
She always felt that Anjali was the maiden of the house. After the pooja she was in tears, Shlok could feel why she was crying. Yes even he was in tears. They were missing his Ayi and Baba and the entire family.
Though she is not alive among us.. the echo is still there in Nuke and corner.. ey.. kai saala, Dokhe pille tu... Astha could feel her presence everywhere.
After the Pooja got over,Astha was about to lose control and fall, Shlok balanced and caught her in time.She whispered in his ears, saying I think my water just broke. What ..lady ..dont tell me.Yes budhu . Shlok , my water just broke. Lets rush.They step inside the hospital, after 2 hours of struggle Astha delivers a PINK BABY..
Yes.. Anjali was reborn in Astha's Womb .
They named her ASTA LAKSHMI. Name was selected by Shlok..why ..in name too .
Asta - ASTHA.. he wanted his baby too be as Astha..
Ashtalaksmi - the eight goddesses of Wealth, Earth, Learning, Love, Fame, Peace, Pleasure, and Strength.

Varad and family ,Jo and Family every body joined and Anjali Nivas was as in GLEE AS BEFORE.
