Neha, Barun smoking video I saw in the first page. Where's Barun nude ? Oh, where's the pic man? 😉

A very Happy Valentine, dear girl!

Haaye Raama! Kya din aa gaye hain? Barun has to get nude for long lost fans like you to come , visit the forum and comment?😆

Haven't you seen the film? It's available on voot! If you still want pic, I can post here. But as I say, it's not about nudity it's about Barun in a silent film expressing an entire story without a single dialogue. Go ahead and enjoy!

And come everyday on this thread...let's make this chat adda for Derma(obviously we shall discuss all 🤬 parts, too!)

This is not Barun nude. This is the naked bleeding soul of Antony.

Awesome movie. I still can't get over it. I worry about the hero Barun, whom I cannot help, I hate the old man-fate for the fact that he is right, punishing Tony. I cannot look without tears as a young handsome man dies, who has lost himself in this life. This is very sad.

I have given up on all my tattoo hopes after watching this one! I am not even kidding! But most importantly, NEVER EVER EVER take a service without paying! The best reason to watch Derma is that it stars the dreamy Barun Sobti as Anthony, the protagonist. Anthony gets a tattoo with religious relevance in the mysterious mountains and does not pay for it. This triggers a series of events that are so dark and engrossing that you will really not want to ever get a tattoo again!

I always wanted to see Barun in a similar role, so not very surprised by his image in "Derma".
As I expected in advance-it turned out very cool. I really want to see the full-length film with Barun in a similar role. It seems to me that his talent has no boundaries.
"Derma" I really liked it. I think it makes more sense than just karma. Barun is amazing in this role. He very subtly shows every change in the mood and feelings of his character.
And he made his character alive again, you want to think about Anthony, you want to know how he lived before and why he became such a person.

I've watched "Derma" several times, but so far, when I revise it, I'm overwhelmed by the excitement and horror of what is happening on the screen... Barun Sobti's silent acting is incomparable-his facial expressions and his whole body work for the character...Only such a brilliant actor as Barun can so surrender to the role and show all the nuances of the experiences of his hero ! Talented acting Barun Sobti so believable that makes you feel that all these events do not occur on the screen, and in real life, and you even more begin to sympathize with Anthony, so terribly finished his life...

So true! Agree with every word!

Barun has taken himself beyond himself...it's his acting which takes the film to the level of a recent french short film, the Piano Tuner, I happened to see. The same drama level was brought in by Barun's act alone.

The script and the direction leaves me wanting...but Barun in every way fulfills the challenge he must have given himself.

Direction wise, I do not much appreciate, the girl pulling her shirt up in front of the camera like that... you don't need such dhamaka sensational shots in such an intellectual film.

Writing wise, perhaps the time frame has gone a wee bit short... in the call which Anthony has with his friend, there's a mention of anger management...it's not explained anywhere exactly what are the issues, neither does the reflection of that anger come in the short physical relationship thrown in...

there could have been little delving at the end...on exactly what happened when Anthony went back inside again the first time after paying 200 bucks instead of 2000. ... the anger part should have got explained there instead of us just guessing... the Tatoo artist is shown as bed ridden...but there's no mention of he being hit by Anthony earlier.

Barun however leaves no gap in his act... so very perfectly done! Salute to this man for his sheer talent!

DERMA - when the soul comes to tears,
Unbearable pain you may be stuck...

Pain, fear, hopelessness spreads, permeates through and complete fusion with the unknown gives rise to a terrible scream, a scream of horror... And then through physical pain comes the understanding that payback for what he did is inevitable, that he will never be able to wash off... he seemed to be in a thick fog, where nothing is visible and it is unclear what to do and where to go. If it wasn't for the pain, he probably wouldn't have remembered what he did to the old man. Life is such that you have to pay for everything. Barun is a great actor, he once again showed that he can revive his characters. He brilliantly showed all the emotions of his character, I do not think that everyone can so subtly portray the pain and helplessness of the character. Love you Barun!👏👏👏

Hi Neha
😊
Anthony was under the influence of drugs, he suffered pain when tattooing. He was annoyed, but he wanted to leave peacefully, perhaps because he remembered his doctor's words. When the old man went after him, Anthony realized that he would not be able to contain his anger. I understood this from Anthony's reaction when he stood at the exit. I liked that the Director was able to talk about beating old man without a direct scene of violence. Only the sounds of blows, the cries of the old man and no longer controlling his anger Anthony.

Undressing a girl seemed appropriate to me. I think it's a Director's reception to emphasize Anthony's depravity. No short film has ever made such a strong impression on me. Among other things, the film is shot in the Thriller genre and it keeps every second in suspense and anxiety. Barun... Barun is Barun. I always knew he was capable of all sorts of things. 😳

Beautiful Ann👏👏👏. You score point against me in this wonderful debate of ours! Shall we continue?😉

Even to show Anthony's depravity, the dialogue, "Darvaja toh band kar lo" (at least close the door) was sufficient, wasn't it? And Barun's expression, hell with it , kind of his urgency.

The way I felt, is that scene could have been shown with the edit of that single momentary shot of her... doesn't add value to anything.

My viewpoint, if it was Anthony's depravity needed to be shown, the director should have made Anthony pull out her clothes without any consideration to her...her subsequent shocking expression would make better meaning then.

I am not against nudity... the nudity of Anthony in the bathroom beautifully signifies bearing of his soul, the decadence of his innermost personality coming to his own face...It's Barun at his absolute best!

You know what? Barun has done us a big favour. He has gone and roved that all our fandom for him, all our love for him is completely justified by his talent.

I am unable to copy paste from my original post hence repeating the link here. Barun has proven what I wrote long time back about him...Happiness is watching Barun Perform!
