I've watched "Derma" several times, but so far, when I revise it, I'm overwhelmed by the excitement and horror of what is happening on the screen... Barun Sobti's silent acting is incomparable-his facial expressions and his whole body work for the character...Only such a brilliant actor as Barun can so surrender to the role and show all the nuances of the experiences of his hero ! Talented acting Barun Sobti so believable that makes you feel that all these events do not occur on the screen, and in real life, and you even more begin to sympathize with Anthony, so terribly finished his life...

Direction wise, I do not much appreciate, the girl pulling her shirt up in front of the camera like that... you don't need such dhamaka sensational shots in such an intellectual film. Writing wise, perhaps the time frame has gone a wee bit short... in the call which Anthony has with his friend, there's a mention of anger management...it's not explained anywhere exactly what are the issues, neither does the reflection of that anger come in the short physical relationship thrown in there could have been little delving at the end...on exactly what happened when Anthony went back inside again the first time after paying 200 bucks instead of 2000. ... the anger part should have got explained there instead of us just guessing... the Tatoo artist is shown as bed ridden...but there's no mention of he being hit by Anthony earlier.</font>[/DIV]
[DIVBarun however leaves no gap in his act... so very perfectly done! Salute to this man for his sheer talent!</font>[/DIV]
Hi Neha
😊
Anthony was under the influence of drugs, he suffered pain when tattooing. He was annoyed, but he wanted to leave peacefully, perhaps because he remembered his doctor's words. When the old man went after him, Anthony realized that he would not be able to contain his anger. I understood this from Anthony's reaction when he stood at the exit. I liked that the Director was able to talk about beating old man without a direct scene of violence. Only the sounds of blows, the cries of the old man and no longer controlling his anger Anthony.
Undressing a girl seemed appropriate to me. I think it's a Director's reception to emphasize Anthony's depravity. No short film has ever made such a strong impression on me. Among other things, the film is shot in the Thriller genre and it keeps every second in suspense and anxiety. Barun... Barun is Barun. I always knew he was capable of all sorts of things. 😳

I speak about Barun in my above post with complete conviction because I truly believe in the guy as star find of Bollywood. Read why I believe so
DERMA - when the soul comes to tears,
Unbearable pain you may be stuck...Pain, fear, hopelessness spreads, permeates through and complete fusion with the unknown gives rise to a terrible scream, a scream of horror... And then through physical pain comes the understanding that payback for what he did is inevitable, that he will never be able to wash off... he seemed to be in a thick fog, where nothing is visible and it is unclear what to do and where to go. If it wasn't for the pain, he probably wouldn't have remembered what he did to the old man. Life is such that you have to pay for everything. Barun is a great actor, he once again showed that he can revive his characters. He brilliantly showed all the emotions of his character, I do not think that everyone can so subtly portray the pain and helplessness of the character. Love you Barun!👏👏👏
