Pa Mahanth appears only to give Chandni an excuse to be lifted up...Sorry, but the whole diya scene appeared a little contrived...they could have done away with the betting to give it a smoother flow. Advaiy could have just drugged PP so he doesn't lech on Chandni more and do away with that rasm...and accidentally ended up doing it for her...the suggestion coming from someone other than himself..
I hope he doesn't forget the tears he noted on Chandni's face- and the pain with which she said she'd agree to whatever her father wanted...

@bold:- actually for me that kind of worked really well. There are few things I expect in a ML and first and foremost is I wouldn't want a ML that I am rooting for to force himself on his lady love so I am really glad that Advay has reinforced it quite a number of times. I am glad writers are driving that point across that hey even when Advay is anti-hero he is not going to force himself on Chandni. That is an assurance that is so much needed for many people including me to root for their love story.
Actually in South Indian marriages there are few rasams in the wedding where in the bride is carried to the madap and to the temple to seek the blessings of the god usually in a basket by the male members of the family or if possible from the bridegroom's family. What would have worked better for the scene was that rather than Mahant declaring that Advay can carry Chandni they should have shown that Mamaji/Mausaji both can't carry Chandni for maybe some health issue or something like that. And then Advay chips in to carry her. That would have made it more believable but chalo at least they had some reluctance shown from Chandni's side
Even though the nails in the path is quite gory I am glad they are showing Chandni do that because that shows Chandni can hurt back if she is pushed to her limits. She is not a white dhoodh ki dhuli huyi girl - a sati savitri FL who can't do any wrong. Basically I can't root for preachy all white FLs - I would like to have my FL little flawed so that I can see their journey over the length of the show. And Chandni will understand that she has hurt Advay and will ask for his forgiveness. She needs to know that Advay is not one who will forgive easily and this will be important when Chandni learns that Advay is her Dev and the reason for Dev becoming Advay. Chandni will understand that the greater the hurt, the greater time it takes to heal and she will hopefully help all she can to heal Advay.
