Anaida - No Delicate Darling

Singer Anaida surprises everyone with her strength skills on Sony Entertainment Television's Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao.

People still recall Anaida's famous line "patli hai mori kamariya" from one of her music albums. Anaida now shares the secret of her patli kamar (thin waist) on Sony Entertainment Television's Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao.

According to our source, "Anaida was the only girl to join Chetan and Aakashh during their workout routine. She revealed that she can do about 3,000 'kapalbhatis' (a breathing exercise) which shocked both men. Anaida also said that when she was much younger, she worked out regularly and had developed muscles."

Surely after getting to know Anaida's workout habits the boys have newfound respect for her. Says our source, "The guys joked that if Anaida was part of the Maha Jungle Challenge then neither of them want to be pitted against her for they know they would just lose. Chetan said that Anaida's brittle frame is indeed deceiving and that she actually is a powerhouse who can knock anybody out. But jokes apart the boys genuinely praised Anaida for her enthusiasm about workouts."

Maybe Anaida's music faded away because she is cut out to be sort of a workout trainer? With her svelte frame and undying enthusiasm she can surely inspire many to have fitter bodies…

Shweta will never forgive Deepak Qazir and Cezaane

During a game played in the camp, Shweta Tiwari was asked to narrate the toughest decision of her life! Shweta said it was the divorce with husband Raja, but she wouldn't want to talk about it in the open.

She instead spoke about a disgusting incident with co-artists Deepak Qazir (the actor who played Anurag Basu aka Cezaane Khan's father in Kasauti) and Cezzane Khan. It was during the days of her show Kasauti Zindagi Ki with Balaji Telefilms when they had back to back, day and night shooting to complete the episodes.

Needless to say it was a rough time for her… as her daughter who was in Meerut with her in laws (Raja Chaudhary's parents) had fallen severely sick. So Shweta had put in a special request to get some time off the hectic schedule to go look after her ailing daughter. That's when co-artists Deepak Qazir played dirty and spread the rumour within the production team that Shweta was lying about her daughter's illness and the real reason for her break was that she was to attend a Navratri function and was getting paid 1 lakh for it.

Shweta denied this then and was convincing the crew that it was for real and no excuse, but what disgusted her much more later was when Deepak told her, "Give me Rs 50,000 from your 1 lakh that you will get from the show, and then I will tell the producer that your daughter is really unwell and needs your attention".

By then Shweta lost her cool and got in touch with producer Shobha Kapoor who granted her just one day leave. When she reached Meerut and met her daughter Palak, she was really happy and requested Shewta not to leave.

But since she had to be back in time for shoot, Shweta left in the wee hours of the morning when her daughter was fast asleep to resume work the same day. She said that it was one of the toughest decisions, where she had to prove herself right. Shweta cannot forget the incident so much so that on national television she broke down saying, "I will never forgive you for this Deepak Qazir"

Mini and Yudi remake 'Sholay' in Malaysia

Seems like 'Sholay' is a favourite with the Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao crew in Malaysia. First it was the question for Chetan and Palak's treasure chest on Tuesday which was 'What was Gabbar Singh's father's name in Sholay?". Then it was a long filmi conversation between hosts Mini and Yudi on and off between their anchor links. Mini and Yudi started talking about movies from yesteryear to latest and were stuck with Sholay. According to Yudi the casting of RGV's Sholay was all wrong and Ajay Devgan should have been the "Jai" and "Saif" should have been Veeru, he also thinks they had a great chemistry in Kachche Dhaage. After some discussion, Yudi felt Kareena after Jab We Met would have been a good choice as Basanti… Mini agreed and called "Kareena, the eternal Basanti"! Now that's some Sholay... in the jungle!

Kabir Khan Caught In A Jungle Rebellion

When New York director Kabir Khan left with his two young children to join his wife, Mini Mathur, in the Malaysian jungles, little did he know what was in-store the rough jungles!

"I took my kids to join their mom who's the anchor on the reality show 'Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao' because my kids love the outdoors and are very adventurous. But, I think the whole thing got a bit too adventurous for all of us."

On Tuesday, just when Kabir was preparing to leave the jungles with the children, rebellion broke out among the contestants. And for a while Kabir's wife Mini was traceless. "My kids and I were not in the jungles with the contestants and my wife. We were staying on an island 15 minutes away. On Tuesday, when we prepared to join Mini in the jungles, we were told the boats had stopped plying between our resort and the jetty to the jungle. No one could tell us why."

Kabir was in a state of panic. "We had no information about what was happening on the island. All kinds of conflicting reports were coming in. My wife's cell phone didn't work in the jungle. For a while it was all very confusing and scary."

Only later, did Kabir get to know that his wife was safe. Chaos prevailed on the location of 'Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao' when 7 of the contestants decided to suddenly leave the show in protest against the cruel experiments that Akashdeep Saigal was subjected to. Only MTV Roadie Palak Kaur and Fiza (of Chand fame) decided to stay in the hope of sharing the prize money.

After intense imploration the 7 rebellious contestants again returned to the show late on Tuesday night upon being assured they'd be served decent meals.

Kabir thinks the contestants were justified in protesting. "I could see the conditions in the jungle were far more intense and nerve-wracking than they look on television. What I saw the participants doing in 'Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao' was far more gruelling than their counterparts did in the original version of the show." Kabir thinks what he saw happening on location for the reality show was far more interesting than the show itself. And yes, he may do a script on the prevalence of reality shows and how they affect our lives.

Though he was frightened for his wife, Kabir's kids had a ball. "My son Vivaan is 6 and my daughter Sairah is just 10 months old. Everyone who hears I took them to the Malaysian jungle on my own is aghast. But if I didn't, my wife would've killed me. Besides, my kids are true adventurers. Sairah means a happy traveller, and she lived up to her name."

The pertinent question at this moment is; what prompts people to take on the risk of losing lives limbs and dignity in these reality measures, and are the safety measures adequate?

A spokesperson from Sony Entertainment, says, "The contestants on 'Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao' were made to do nothing that was not done by their counterparts in the international version. The conditions in the jungle make the participants edgy and hyper. They freaked out when Akashdeep put his head into a jar with vermin, insects and snakes and came out all bitten and bruised. However, all safety measures are ensured. And none of the creatures are poisonous. The contestants have now returned to the location."
