You are right. Niti moves her hands a lot and she needs to stop overplaying the cute innocent act. BUT I don't blame her totally. If the script is cat poop and you have a lead opposite you who appears disinterested and scenes are copy pasted from an original where the bar has been set high,it's difficult to carve out your niche. True. Parth isn't some amazing actor either but I feel like he has certain learnt nuances (very Manik-like) which he adds to his character which usually looks 'pleasing' (for a lack of a better word). He basically plays different variations of Manik IMO. Lol😆 Which is his "comfort-zone". He 'Manik-ized' his current character too.

Niti however tends to overact. She uses her hands and shakes them way too much. Notice her hands in any scene. She can hardly get past a scene without using them. Annoys me. Even as Nandini, she had her shortcomings. I just think Parth and Niti worked well TOGETHER as they covered each others flaws as a unit. Separately, their flaws are glaring. It also doesn't help when the character is written so choppy. I'm guessing this was a last-minute thing as the previous actress wasn't accepted. And it shows how last-minute this was

@bold: That I agree with 😆...which is why I find him an average actor. I don't see him evolving much beyond his stock mannerisms as Manik or maybe that's just Parth himself...whatever the reason, his stock moves don't work in any character other than Manik IMO...the way he says, "Listen...yesss" etc. is so standard Manik, it just sounds funny to hear him say it in other roles.

All actors have certain basic mannerisms they bring to every character they play...and I understand that...but there has to be something beyond that to really make me respect your abilities as an actor. If I had to give an example, there's another young actor called Sumedh Mugdalkar who's currently playing Krishna in Radha Krishna...that guy is amazing with his range in going from super boyish/mischievous kid to gravitas filled God in moments...he doesn't bring stock mannerisms to everything he plays...there is variation from one mode to the other...so I can respect that talent. That is evolution as an actor.

With MaNan, both Parth and Niti got really well written characters with variations so they already got to play a range there...that seems to be all the learned acting they managed to acquire...which seems more suited for youth shows.

To see either of them in GEC shows firstly is really laughable to me😆...they do not suit this medium at all and mainly suit youth shows...chanced upon a scene of Parth mouthing words like KUMKUM and I was like REALLY? 😆...it wasn't even the GOOD kind of different...he looks artificial trying to play a sanskaari good boy or he falls back into his Manik mode...lol so where's the acting evolution?

As for Niti, yes her hyper hand movements are deffo a big minus along with the fact that she is in permanently child-like mode...it worked for Nandu but it doesn't work anywhere else...least of all in a GEC where the amount of well written roles are hardly 0.1%.

Yes, Niti was deffo a rushed replacement and she seems to have chosen this to make inroads into Star Plus as well as Gul's camp😆...remains to be seen if it pays off for her cuz the character has nothing to it.
