Full disclaimer, I stopped watching IB almost immediately after the Redux, only following Shivika and Rikara scenes on Insta and Twitter and even those I didn't really follow regularly. But I genuinely really love the entire cast. Initially it was Nakuul that I knew from PKDH and Shrenu from IPKND2 and to an extent Surbhi from QH and honestly I feel so bad for them. The PH has honestly been so unfair to so many actors. But reading Gul's interview, I have to say that she's delusional. Generation leaps never really work the wonders that the PH expects especially when they rely on new faces. The only exception to that rule was YRKKH and that only worked because it had been 8 years and the old lead couples story and the entire old cast's story really had been completed and there was barely anything left to show. The new cast was a much needed breath of fresh air. But also because at the same time, because it ran for such a successful 8 years on TRP charts, YRKKH had a very study TRP fanbase i.e TRP aunties; a luxury which Ishqbaaz most definitely doesn't enjoy. And unlike YRKKH none of the couples in the show have been stretched to their full potential yet. What Gul doesn't get is that the only people watching Ishqbaaz at this point are Shivika fans. Rikara or Ruvya fans or even O'bros fans don't watch the show anymore for obvious reasons. Shivika is the only reason that the show even has a TRP. TRP audience doesn't watch this show and that's a known fact. If they did then ISA wouldn't be so high on the TRP charts. It is Shivika and at this point only Shivika that is giving IB TRP's. Once you take away that, if Twitter trends are anything to go by, who's going to watch the show? If Gul think these are bad TRP's what does she expect will happen when she takes away the beloved actress of the show? Of course at some point Nakuul will romance with someone else, he's an actor it will happen and he'll probably be popular for it but not in Ishqbaaz. Ishqbaaz mean Shivika and it means Narbhi at this point. Gul gave IPKKND3 but no ever accepted ASR without Khushi, Barun without Sanaya and under the same Ishqbaaz banner, they won't accept Nakuul without Surbhi and vice verso. Give Shivika and Narbhi, maybe TRP's won't reach 3.0's but take that away, and Star Plus is bound to pull of your show within a month of it due to low trp's.

This production house has done so many injustice regarding the casting of IB..Left this show a long back ago..just wanted to check in tbe forum about whats going on as twitter was trending with surbhi..Creatives should give a thought on this issue.

Well said👏.Its highly appaling to think how can the channel doesn't realise this😕.Its a simple thing and any sane person can analyse where they are heading to,They are digging their own graves,i will say lage raho,all the best for the channel and for the Gulshit,Be ready for one more disaster in guls account.

Hi there, what a lovely analysis 👏!! If only the makers thought this way !! What I fail to understand is, if the viewers are so smart to realize these points why are the professionals hell bent on digging their own grave. I said this on another thread, I'll repeat again, IB is not working out because of the sub standard writing. Bringing in a generation leap with only one of the lead pair, with the same lousy writing team is never going to work, who'll serve some ridiculous arcs😕!!

I would like to write my opinion on the basis of the producer's interview only which was posted in this forum recently. I believe that interview because I didn't see any refusal statements from anybody at anywhere. If the concern persons felt bad that the article contains the false things and it may affect their reputation , they might have refused immediately.

First of all ,the responsible person did not leak anything about the show characters and the future cast and crew herself in the interview or her own social media page. .Her answer of a question meant that the initial plan was dropped because of the present actress's refusal to act as a mother Even she didn't tell what was her initial plan. It might be the continuation of the present script. How long they can show the same things repeatedly in this show.?. The next level of the couple's story will be the parenthood only. But the actress didn't accept to act such the scenes ,what could have done by the creatives?. In this situation we can't blame the writer. So the generation leap idea might be developed in their mind. Still there was not revealed about the project details. So we can't come any conclusion about the new show and it's destiny.

I understand how it feels when the female lead is shown the door and male lead is made romance a new FL even though as a new character because I have gone through the same pain in past..if the show ends on a happy note, then we will be at peace thinking that they got a happily ever after..But showing the death of the couple or one of them and continuing the show spoils this happily ever after we wish for a love story and it's painful..I was so against Gul for doing this to a group of people though I am not a part of that group.. everyone here might be knowing Bepannaah(my fav show) is also going through some crisis and we are tweeting endlessly like you people to save the show..And when I came across this interview it made me loose all the remaining bit of hope I had.. Though her words hurt but it makes complete sense.. And all the dislike I had for her for doing injustice to a fandom went away when she said she was planning for a pregnancy track but the female lead was not ready to play a mother yet so Gul is also helpless and forced to take a leap.

2 of the biggest fandom is going through a sad phase and the irony is one is protesting to end the show while other one is protesting for an extension.

And before anyone ask me why am i in this forum, I was a fan of the other couple of this show and just came here to know the status of other actors after leap.

She is lying yesterday only in rage she replied one fan tht thy dont want to go for saas bahu drama and child drama.

She putting whole blame on surbhi.

Lol check gul's recent instagram replies or check my recent post.We saw Gul lying so many times for her benefits in these 2.5 yrs.Gul had already brutally chucked out Vrushika and Neha who were the other original FLs of this show and shut their mouth without being revealed anything.Vrushika fans made a huge protest,so gul forced her to post on social msg to calm her fans,but why she was chucked,never revealed by her,same happened with Neha.Gul is famous for hypocricy,unprofessionalism,much more and never respected the actors and never did any justice to their roles.

Surbhi rejected other offers and waited for 2 years for the show Ishqbaaaz to air on starplus.We know about Surbhi,she played so many roles including old age woman for 2 weeks,she always mentioned this show is her life and everything and always expressed she wanted this show run for thousands of episodes.She had never problem to play mother role,First clear the things by checking gul's insta replies before blaming the person.

We had proofs and Info that Gul bribed all the news portals to publish what she wants.That interview pink villa article was proven as all lies just yesterday.Shivika fandom is very huge and have inside sources to know what happening.So before blaming someone be sure about the all the info.

So gul is chucking out all the cast kunal,Lee,Mansi,shrenu and starting leap just for the decision of one actress Surbhi??peaks of Delusion.

I have been reading the posts and reactions of viewers and Gul on IF and Twitter. I think people are fighting but do not know what they are fighting for.

NoSurbhiNoIshqbaaz- Two outcomes- Surbhi will continue- Gul said they are going for a leap because the show reached a stagnation. They do not want to do a saas bahu saga. So what else will she do? Perform marriage of Shivika again and again? In both AU and RU, the destination of the story was wedding. Twice in RU and twice in AU. If we say that we want Surbhi to continue, the next track will be Shivaay or Anika loosing memory, falling in love and marrying again! Gulneet cannot think beyond this and they do not want to do the saas and children drama. Well, YHM and YRKKH are doing saas bahu stuff and still entertaining people. We do not want to repeat similar stuff. And we do not know what can we do anew! We do have Ruvya and Rikara but they are equal to the blue drawer, white and blue water fountain in the background.

NoSurbhiNoIshqbaaz- Two outcomes- Surbhi will not continue- they will get new leads. The leads will fall in love. The male lead will throw the female lead out. He will realise. They will marry again.

I think we are giving too much bhaav for gulneet. She is admitting that she is not getting TRPs but still she wants to repeat the shit and now with new faces. We should give Surbhi a chance to exploreb new opportunities and show her acting prowess through some other story. And for Gul's responses, (well I do not post on twitter so she did not get back to me), I am not going to watch nazar, kulfi kumar or any other show from her production house. We are customers, look at the way she is responding!!

BTW I believe that Surbhi refused to enact a mother. She did right. There is nothing wrong in refusing to do a role when it does not add to your career. We do the same at work right? We refuse to do something that does not add value to our resume!
