But annika is literally changed. She has no energy or vitality inside of her. It's as if she is just surviving to feed her family now. They should reduce a bit of her crying scenes.

The annika which was called nayi soch is now cliched annika like every show out there.

Till next week is all i can give now, if CVs dont show something better characterwise... then sorry i'm going away. There is no beauty in beast shivaay n crying annika at all. What happened to concept of takkar ka jodi now? 😆

But knowing HS, her only love is SSO- so not much hope regarding Annika now. Still i'm willing to wait till next week just for NM n SC.

Haha this is the million dollar question, isn't it? We all know Shivika have to get together in this version also...but what kind of Shivika? How do you build a story of such bland characters? If Anika has nothing to her other than seedhi saadhi bechaari, how do you sustain this story? Bas baar destiny destiny bol ke toh nahin banegi na story? You have to have some meat to the characters, their interactions...

Ideally, Shivika should be takkar ke in this AU also...but in her need to make everything "opposite", not sure if HS has thought that through😆...all she knows is that she'll get them together after flipping their characters...not necessarily if those flipped characters are still interesting or entertaining.

Anyways, remains to be seen if there is some evolution in Shivika when they meet next week...this week toh is all for setting up the other characters😆

Okay so once shivika meet and fall in love how is their equation going to be? It's defiantly not going to be as fun and colourful as the original shivika! It's just going to be like the 800 other shows!

I loved original shivikas relationship the differences they had, the adventures they had and the fun they had! This ishqbaaaz is to dark and grey for me!

How much it pains me to agree with this...it really is unbelievable how bland they've made her just for the sake of making her the opposite of khidkitod...the opposite of khidkitod isn't bland...they could have sobered her down without making her so utterly pitiful.

I don't mind a darker IB but yes the USP of Shivika was the fun, adventurous nature of their interactions...even during dark periods, the basic spunkiness in their characters helped facilitate the story...they overdid the naach gaana parties in some ways in the show to tire us of those but they deffo didn't need to make Anika utterly bland just to do the opposite of fun either.

Well we can only wait to see if HS has thought this through or she's content with these typical characterizations for Shivika.

Haan I saw that...NM's sincerity pe toh koi shaq nahin😊...He always performs with full sincerity and even now is doing a great job of adding variations to this rebooted Shivaay👏👏...and we viewers do appreciate his performance...we are only calling out the problems in the writing...unfortunately HS madam never has to face the cameras and reporters...actors ko hi karna padta hai😆

I liked what NM said about a "toned down" version of all the characters...everyone's volume levels have dropped...and it made me realize that is indeed true...Anika ka volume level drop is the most obvious since she was the most animated before but with Shivaay toh NM is really modulating the lower tone menace interestingly.

Man, first day I was so intrigued by this change in tone...if only they hadn't gone in blahh overdone abla mode for Anika...oh well.

They aren't enacting anything, they haven't really traveled back in time...this is an alternate universe where some of their traits have been changed and it's like a test of their love/destiny now to see if they can still get together even after being so different and in different circumstances.

It would have been better Keeping the same original Shivika and changing just the circumstances and incidents in their life and they could have shown various tracks like office track changing only the screenplay or They could have change the story from that point of forced wedding and Anika moving out of OM throwing MS and i always felt how it would have been more beautiful if she left OM and then they would again meet in some office track.They had a scope to change the weak points in old version and could have shown it in better way if HS have no creativity to etch new interesting characters atleast she should have taken this route.

Now i hope Anika will get a spine and suddenly change into some self respecting and somewhat confident girl out of miracle😆.I heard some spoilers idk true or not that her Chachi selling her to someone i think that would be the right time to bring sudden change in her character😆.

Mixed reaction for now. :/

See they are calling it a redux and what they meant by redux in a show is going back to past.

They are showing; What if Shivika did not had their first meeting in temple? That means all the characters should be the same how they were in episode 1 of IB.

SSO was stone hearted for outsiders but with a heart of gold for his family. He used to happily interact with his family. After redux, they have shown him lifeless, so how does that mean going to past.
Same with Anika, the earlier version of Anika was strong and brave but the redux one is shown as Becharri types.

Also they have changed Om from Artist to a businessman and Shinky has been killed, when they were a happily married couple in past.

GulNeet are misleading audience by saying that redux is taking Shivika back into past. But infact it's actually a season 2 with loads of changes in characters and storyline.

They are giving a fancy name "redux" to a different season, just like last year they were calling leap a lapse. 😆
