Haters and Bashers please stay away. If you have a differing opinion, please state it without succumbing to mocking/bashing or anything that's outright negative. State your point in a civilized manner. Discussions between different fandoms should remain cordial (at least 😆). I'm fully capable of removing and reporting my own post if a fan war starts here. ***As probably one of the oldest fans of IB here, I honestly don't know the direction this show has taken recently. I've always stated that I don't care about much else except ShivIka but since there's a dearth of that onscreen and offscreen, unfortunately - I have to get this outta my system.
Gul Khan states that we should focus on the positive fans. Gul Khan - in her posts and responses to fans on social media - completely ignores the positive fans. Gul Khan says that she's okay with positive criticism. Gul Khan, in her responses, either never responds to criticism that makes sense or manipulates it in such a way that even the best of feedback comes across as negative. Gul Khan says she's making the show for TRP people and therefore, she owes no explanation to onliners (who, btw, have won her show every award last season). Fair enough. But are her tactics winning her TRPs? Nope.
My problem with Gul is that if an opinion is coming from an online fan, she perceives it as negative and as a personal attack on her "creative abilities". She mocks the onliners yet acts exactly like them, if not worse - hating back in revenge, acting like a little child with the onscreen story and showing things with the sole reason of pissing people off, never appreciating with as much passion as the hate. What's the difference, really Gul? Looks to me like we're no different, after all.
Time and time AGAIN, TRPs have shown that IB works best only when there's, at best, one week of groupbaazi and then everyone goes back to their personal relationships for a good 3 weeks, at least with ShivIka as the center of attention.
I will sound like a broken record here - but if the track isn't mainly focusing on ShivIka - it may see a bit of an initial jump, but it will eventually fizzle out. Gul isn't dumb, I think she knows that but understandably, she can't say that out loud. Fine by me. But why so adamant at sinking your own ship? Is your ego really bigger than ALL else?
That kick on the face seemed like a LITERAL kick for fans. I dunno if I'm reading too much into this but it REALLY did feel like she was telling us to go eff ourselves because she can do whatever she wants. If she's so ziddi about selling Bhavya - FINE.
I honestly haven't cared too much about the RuMya/RuVya angle lately, anyway. But how about she actually GIVES Bhavya a story line which makes us like her? She hasn't exchanged three words with Rudra since the wedding began. When she first came, I actually LOVED the idea of an older, female cop for Rudra but ever since then, she's been nothing but talk.
Wake up and smell the coffee, Gul - Just doing Bhavya, Bhavya, Bhavya isn't going to bring you TRPs, TRPs TRPs. You know what brings the numbers and I have no idea why you're stretching it out/avoiding to show it for so long. A few months ago, if someone had told me it's just because of her ego, I probably wouldn't have believed them. Not so sure now.
Coming to the other side of the story - Mansi.
I'm sorry but the personal attacks on the ACTOR are where fans are going wrong. You're pissed about the track, I get it. You don't wanna see her onscreen, I get it. Her character literally has nothing to offer except to satisfy Senior madam jee's dinosaur sized ego, I AGREE. She's an average actor at best, I AGREE.
But she's also a real person. With feelings and sentiments. So comments that personally target her - where fans mock her for coming in the frame offscreen with other actors or mocking her natural looks or the way she eats (yes, that has happened) - it's TOO MUCH.
In the article released over the weekend and then the tweets in which she was defending herself, you can see the hate's getting to her and she lashed out back at fans (I honestly don't think she was talking about Annika in anyway but that's just MY OPINION). Was it childish? Yes. But for me personally, it isn't unfathomable. It's exactly the way fans have been reacting, too.
I don't wanna draw comparisons here because then this post will totally go somewhere else, but we all know how much our favs were once mocked, too. It doesn't feel good. And in some cases, the hate sticks for a longer period of time.
So you hate her acting, let her know that. You hate how she dresses ONSCREEN, let her know that. You think Bhavya is a waste of space, that's fine. But please differentiate between the ACTOR and the CHARACTER.

P.S. Will post replies a bit later. Sorry for the delay.
Again, keep your hate comments/indirect or direct mocking/fazool ke arguments etc etc to your self. 😆 Anything I deem too intolerant, I won't respond to and will request others to ignore, as well.
