Any action of hurting someone's sentiments is deeply regretted. From the disclaimer I gather you are going to further develop the tone already set in the fic and I have to say thanks for that. You were well within your rights to divert this somewhere else, but you really took on the challenge of such a serious subject matter - one I may have shied away from in your place. I set a scene for an intense fic and I'm guessing you're about to drive it home. Honestly you have a very tough challenge here, because it's not the nicest thing to write about, so sorry for that😳, but I'm really excited to see where you take it.PART 2: FIGHTING HER DEMONS So Gauri's POV? The trickier path in this setting, but I have full faith in you.Gauri had taught herself to fight the demons of world all alone. She knew that she was capable enough to face all the odds thrown at her. That's the GKS I know. thank you for not making her weak even though I'm guessing she is the victim of some sort of abuse already. She was very well aware that neither she was docile nor weak and had given timely glimpses of her strength. Again, you're writing the only GKS I can envision and for that I am already in love with this piece😃.She was the one with a mammoth courage when it came to fighting against the world. And attaining this level wasn't a one-day process. It took energy of every single cell that she comprised to rise from the ashes. A herculean effort was put by her to pick-up her broken pieces and rebuild herself from scratch. This has become a theme from the Gauri seen on the show - her issues are her own and she fights those demons herself. This idea of resurrection is so crucially part of the essence of GKS that I fully relate to what you're creating. I can picture this strong girl, who slays her dragons herself... climbs down that tower herself... breaks any curse herself... but this strength has all come with time as you've emphasised... but the thing with time is, it is only as valuable as the eperiences that come with it... there must be an experience... or rather experiences that have made her so...This Dabangg Chraaiya who was confident to win the battles against the world single-handedly was losing to herself everyday, every second. Her tormented soul was failing to win against the demons residing within her. Sometimes the mirror lies... after all there is little that cannot be hidden behind a cheerful disposition and full beam smile. The battle she is losing is against herself... and has that not always been Gauri's struggle. I've always seen this girl as the pure soul who struggles to hold on to her vishwaas no matter the circumstance, and in that her fight is against herself... not letting herself lose faith. You've captured the essence of Gauri's character and used her qualities to give life to her in this fic.👏***One could never find Gauri sitting idle or lonely. She kept herself busy with one thing or the another. For the whole day, she was either surrounded with household chores or with the family-members . But, she was never alone. I'm sensing a deep-rooted fear at being alone...The reason behind running away from solitude were the blood-hungry phantoms which chased Gauri to consume her. In loneliness, her worst memories revived haunting her every now and then. She fears the shadows of her past - it still has immense control over her.Gaining strength to confront the world at it's worst was a necessity as she knew the place was full of predators to jump on her and exploit her to the beyond possible limits. Her pessimistic view of strangers shows that there are real issues here. More can be found about a person from their appraoch to strangers than that to friends. But gaining strength to fight back her own invisible demons seemed to be impossible to her. No matter how much she tried, she was unable to overcome those overpowering nightmarish memories. And, Gauri hated herself for that. Oh my poor Chirraiya😭 - I feel her self-loathing and curse whoever put it there. You've made a deep connection between the reader and Gauri, Poorvika. Well done.😃***At 4 o'clock in the morning, Gauri sleepily stroked the other side of the bed and immediately woke-up after feeling it to be cold. She looked around only to find her husband sleeping in a very uncomfortable position on the sofa.Immediately, realisation dawned upon her and the memories of the night flashed before her eyes. She felt guilty of doing this to her husband who loved her to no extents.Gauri feels guilty for not being able to be the wife she thinks Omkara expects - I could not imagine her feeling any other way, no matter how wrong she is.***"Omkaraji, humein aapko kuchh batana hai, jo baht jaroori hai aapka jaanna. Humare baare mein kuchh aisa jo shaadi se pehle aapko pata hona chahiye.", Gauri told Omkara with her amber-coloured eyes laced with tears.Omkara took her cold hands in his warm ones gently and wiped the lone tear that had just trailed her cheeks."Mujhe aisa kuchh bhi nahi jaanna... jiski yaad tumhein takleef deti ho, Gauri. Mujhe koi farak nahi pdta tumhare ateet se. Humari shaadi maanneeya hai, itna kaafi hai mere jaanne liye."You've created an AU. Actually I had set my part in the IB universe, but this works... and works rather well. Your telling a tale without the baggage of the show. I'm intrigued. Also good job on the dialogues - In can almost picture them.😛***How much Gauri wished today that Omkara had not stopped her from telling the truth to him that day. Atleast that could have saved him from the punishment he has been getting with no fault of his. It pained Gauri to see him in this state. Oh poor Chirraiya... his only punishment is your grief and he won't let that last long. She overlooks her own agony in feeling his pain.It was not that she didn't trusted Omkara or didn't wanted to live a normal husband-wife relationship with him but the chains of her past were holding her so firmly that she was unable to let herself free from them. Now I'm curious as to how she agreed to marriage in the first place... must be quite a tale.***When disturbed Gauri was leaving the place, she yelped as someone nabbed her by holding the back of her neck. Who?She looked horrified at the site of the Ajay Thakur, Kali Thakur's brother who was responsible this action. He has been following her all the time in the Mela and had tried to misbehave with her just a few minutes ago. So Ajay is the villain... don't like him one bit. Hope Omkara get's the chance to teach him a good lesson. Before she could register anything else, a cloth covered her nose and everything blanked out. Oh no.Gauri was feeling heavy-headed and extremely uneasy as she felt something crawling over her. She opened her dizzy eyes to look around and saw Ajay hovering over her. And within no time, Ajay grabbed both of her hands and crushed her against the bed, touching her at inappropriate places. She shrieked for help. Ajay who looked visibly unpleased by Gauri's gesture forcefully covered her mouth with his hand suppressing her shouts. Her hands were free now but the thrust of Ajay over her did not favoured the efforts of putting the man off her.Her vision blurred due to tears as the man above scratched her flesh making her soul bleed. And, she knew these wounds were going to cause pain for throughout her life.Somehow, Gauri got a hold on the vase placed on the stool near to the bed and hit Ajay's head with it. With all her might she pushed away the semi-conscious Ajay off her and ran out of Kali Thakur's Haveli. He molested her... attempted to rape her... he made a scar on her psyche that is yet to heal... my heart agonises for this brave girl. Hard subject matter, I must express again, but you've handled it very maturely Poorvika.***Gauri did not realised when tears started descending from her eyes. She got lost in her past and was brought out of her dazed by the sound caused due to Omkara's movement.Realising that he could wake-up anytime, Gauri rushed out of the room. She wanted to tell him the truth of her life but before that she had to muster courage to bear the consequences of revelations. After all, she too had fallen in love with her loving husband.A ray of light in the dark... her past had not stopped her loving him... it cannot stop her healing...***Omkara woke-up only to find an empty room. Not that he was unaware that it was going to happen but was sad that Gauri was running away from him like she had been doing when he met her for the first time. So he must have struggled to get her to agree to marriage... I'd like to know how that came about.***A girl in bridal attire had sudden appeared in front of Omkara's car. Omkara thanked the Gods in the world that he was driving at a below average speed otherwise something major would have happened. Fortunately, the girl was only unconscious and had no visible injuries. He took her to the hospital for having assurance that no internal injuries were there. So he had found her... but why in bridal attire... the plot thickens...As the girl got consciousness, Omkara was called inside the room. With a glare of the girl, he knew he wasn't welcomed there. She does not trust a stranger... how can she after the ordeal she went through...It was then when he called Annika Bhabhi who befriended her and took her the Oberoi Mansion along with her. A hint of AniRi... my absolute favourite...Friendship between Omkara and Gauri was a gradual process. Her inclination to colours was a major turn-on in their friendship. And slowly, the artist fell in love with the living muse in front of him. She's his muse... I'm in dreamland... friendship is a beautiful way to start a lasting relationship...***Whatever initial information he had got was that she had ran away from her wedding as she didn't wanted to marry the person. Run away from marriage? With whom?... actually I can guess...Anything else from her past was still unknown to him, not that he cared. He simply didn't cared what her past was. He didn't cared where was she from. He just wished her to be with him with her consent. Loving this Omkara - he has my respect... not something I give freely...But yesterday, watching her mute struggles, her tear-stricken face and more than that her tormented soul, he cared. He damn cared about her past. He wanted to know about her fears, her demons. The demons who sacred her to this limit. The demons who made who made Gauri even scared of her husband's touch.A sudden question arose in his mind: " Was she even scared of him ? "And, soon Omkara's face paled.First you captured Gauri, now you've captured Omkara... the essence of the two characters is flooding through... love how you've shown his thought process...***Gauri had shown her reluctance to talk to Omkara when he went to confront her. Omkara took the hint and gave her the time to come to talk to him. He didn't wanted to force anything his already stressed wife. My respect is raising even more😊...***Gauri entered the room and started folding the clothes. Omkara left the room just fifteen minutes ago to facilitate a guest who was arriving the mansion. Guest?...***"Gauri ki Shaadi Ajay se kara deni chahiye." I knew it! Khokli society... punishing the victim not the culprit...Gauri stumbled back after hearing the words of the Sarpanch.Gauri and along with her mother had somehow gathered courage and reached the Gram Panchayat to get justice. My blood is boiling at this stupid sarpanch...😡But instead of providing justice, the Panch proposed an alliance between Gauri and Ajay as a punishment for Ajay. That day, Gauri understood that no one was going to do anything against the brother of Kali Thakur. No one was going to help her and stand against the evil. She had to help herself and stand against odds. Nari shakti zindabad! Thanks for making her so strong. Many would have broken at this stage. Two days before the wedding, Gauri send her mother to her brother's place lying that he is not well. She even lied to Ajay about the place where her Mama lived and promised that her mother would arrive a few hours before to be a part of the wedding. And finally, on her wedding night when the family of the groom was drowned in the celebration of their win and this wedding. Gauri secretly ran from Bareilley and left her gaon forever.***A laughter roared in the mansion and the cloth in Gauri's hand fell after hearing the familiar laughter. With faltering steps, she headed to the main hall. The site in front of her made the ground beneath her feet slip.He was here. Her tormentor was here. AAAHHH!!!!!... You just took suspense to a whole new level! Well done, yaar! Need to know what happens next...***Note: Kindly ignore typing errors and grammatical errors too. Didn't really notice any😆.Note: Hello everyone here, I am new to this fandom. So, let me introduce myself here.
