|| Chapter Two ||

After travelling a long distance from UK to Mumbai Airport to his house, finally his car halted at it's destination. "Sir, we have reached." The driver said to him when he looked his side way to get the view of his house. He removed his goggle from his eyes while remembering his happy moments with his family but his smile faded away remembering Annika.

"Why am I suddenly thinking about that girl after two years?" He cursed himself. "She meant nothing for me. I was forced into this marriage and even she was.. And I think, she must be left by now, after all who would wait for someone for such a long period." He sighed.

Hearing the knock on the window glass, he came back to his thoughts and gets down from the car. "Sir, I have dropped your luggage down and have asked servant to them inside." The driver informed. Giving a nod to the driver, he looked on.

"Stop thinking rubbish Shivaay. You came to attend Prinku's wedding. Once the wedding gets over, you will return to your place. I don't care about her presence or absence." He set his mind and put his goggle on.

"Shivaay...!!" Pinky ran to him excited once he gets inside the house.

"Mom.." He was going to hug him but Pinky stopped him saying, "Don't call me mom.." Shivaay looked at her. "You didn't miss me in these years that you never came to us."

"Mom.. You know..." Shivaay was going to say something but he was cut off by Pinky, "Yeah..! Don't give us your lame excuses about your work."

"Mom... I came after two years and will you welcome me like this?" He pouted and being a mother, how can be she angry on him.. She melted instantly and hugged him.

"Bhaiyaaa..." Excited Rudra ran to him and almost jumped on him for a hug.

"Wohh.. Careful Rudy." Shivaay hissed while balancing on himself, they have a tight hug.

"Bhaiya, you don't know how much we four missed you." Rudra said parting from him.

Shivaay smiled but hearing ' four ' he looked at Rudra confused. "Four..? Oh..! You three and dadi." Shivaay knew how much his brothers and sister can miss him.

"No bhaiya.. Not dadi.." Shivaay widened his eyes as this can't happen that his dadi didn't miss him. "Tch.. I mean, dadi missed you but I am not talking about dadi."

"Then?" He asked confuse.

"Oho bhaiya.. Bhabhi..!" he exclaimed.

Shivaay taken a back. "Bha.. Bhabhi..? Is she here?" He asked disappoint.

"Oh my mata.. What type of question is it..? Of course she is here, where will she go?" Pinky chuckled seeing her son's reaction.

"No.. I thought.." Shivaay wondered what was going on.. She is still here, his family welcome him happily. Doesn't she told them the truth..?

"What do you thought Shivaay?" Hearing Omkara's voice, he looked at him smiling.

"Hey Om..." Shivaay ran to him for a hug and they hugged. "Om.. How are you..? And your hair grown up so much." Shivaay chuckled.

"I'm fine Shivaay. But what about you? Is your work precious than your wife that you left her on the very next day?" Omkara's seriousness takes everyone's attention. Shivaay was standing silent as by now he understood no one knew nothing about the reason. "Shivaay?" Omkara shook him seeing lost Shivaay.

"Huhh.. Yeah..!" He composed himself. "Om, you know.. Work is my first priority always and.." He searched for explanation to give. "... And Annika wanted me to go."

"Really Shivaay?" He sarcastically asked patting on Shivaay's shoulder. "Because as far I know, Annika didn't even know where did you leave for work?" His question made Shivaay nervous, he was searching for words but thankfully dadi came there.

"Billu..?"

"Dadi.." He smiled seeing her and excused. He took blessing from her. He met with rest of the family members.

"Shivaay you met with everyone except Annika." As Omkara said, Shivaay sighed. To avoid her, he left two years back, he was away from his family but again destiny bring her in front of him.

"Yes.. I will.." He said taking a deep breath before confronting her.

"There she is coming." Rudra said.

Shivaay had least interest to see her but he has to.. Else family will get suspicious about their relation.

"Khanna jee.. Before giving them the notice, arrange a proper place where the slum dwellers can shift. Do you get me..?"

Shivaay heard her voice and without turning at her, he could sense a change in her.. The way she is talking, wasn't her way.. She used to talk in weird languages which always goes over his head. But now she was talking exactly in the way, Shivaay always wanted to hear.

"Annika bhabhi, come.." Rudra said when Annika smiled and excused from Khanna.

Annika knew about Shivaay arrival, so on her way, she was getting nervous. Her heart was beating so fast. She gave a nervous look to Omkara who just assured her with a smile.

"See.. Bhaiya came." Rudra said happily, Annika looked at him who was facing his back to her.

"Shivaay.." Omkara indicated him to turn as Annika was impatiently waiting to get a glimpse of him.

Nodding at Omkara, Shivaay turned and gets dumbstruck seeing a different Annika who was giving him a sweet smile. Shivaay's eyes almost popped out seeing a modern Annika, he checked her out from toe to head.

"Hi.." She walked to him forwarding her hand for a shake but Shivaay was still lost in her. He couldn't believe in his eyes that Annika whom he left and this Annika with whom he met today is actually the same girl.

"Shivaay.." Omkara shook him bringing him back to the world.

"Yeah..?"

"Annika.." Omkara said eyeing at her.

Shivaay again turned at her but didn't make a eye contact with her. "Hi.." He said pretending like he was least interested. "I have to make an important call. I just..." Giving them a excuse, he immediately left the place.

"Argh.. Here also he couldn't keep himself away from work." Pinky said upset and everyone left for their respective works except Annika and Omkara.

As soon as Shivaay left the place, Annika's face dropped in sadness as she expected a nice behavior from him. But his mind didn't change at all. Annika's eyes filled with tears when Omkara came to her. "See Om.. He didn't give a look on me, I told you. I changed myself from him but he doesn't care."

"No Annika.. He noticed you. I know my brother. I have seen him, a guilt worked on him. Guilt.. That he left a girl like you." Omkara said smiling.

"But didn't you see, he didn't say hi to me properly and left as if I don't matter to him." She said and couldn't control her tears which flow down from her eyes.

"You know him Annika. He has a ego which is longer than his own height." He chuckled. "Your presence will affect him but he won't accept it. He will behave with you harshly but at the same time he will be the reason of your smile. Just give him time and don't loose your hope. Okay..?" He said wiping her tears.

"You know, hearing all this from you, I really feel so confident." She smiled.

"Being the younger one, I am doing all this. Is it my age to do all this?" Chanting this, Rudra was passing by their when Annika and Omkara saw him. "Dramabaaz." Omkara chuckled.

"Oye.. What happened? Why are you roaming around being a cry baby?" Omkara teased him while stopping him on his way.

"First of all, I'm not cry baby, so don't call me that." Rudra warned. "And secondly, I'm the only responsible person of this house. Not like others who keep ordering his younger brother." He said proudly while rolling his eyes at Omkara.

"Really?" Omkara sarcastically said. "Like how?"

"I'm going to fix the pipeline." Rudra stated making both Omkara and Annika.

"WHAT..!!" They screamed in unison.

"Why are you so shocked? I'm just going to bring the plumber. he will fix it only but as I'm bringing him, so the credit will go to me. As if I won't bring him, then the pipeline will not get fix and you all can't use bathroom." Rudra said giving them his stupid logic while Omkara and Annika just kept looking at his stupidity.

"You know Rudy, your name should be..." But before Omkara said, Rudra said, "I know.. Intelligent Singh Oberoi."

"NO.. Dumb Singh Oberoi." Omkara said hitting on his head when Rudra wondered what wrong he said..! "Anyways.. Just call that plumber fast."

"O.. I'm not dumb.." He pouted. "Do you think, I would go to bring to him if he would receive my calls?"

"Ohh.. Again that plumber is showing nakhre-noor-jahaan.." Annika angrily said when Omkara just chuckled, while Rudra trying to pronounce the language.

"Nakhre.. What.." Rudra asked confuse.

"She means attitude." Omkara said.

"Bhabhi, you should keep a dictionary with you." Rudra suggested.

"But, it's right, without her odd languages, she won't look like Annika." Omkara added.

"Stop it guys.. Rudra you go... Else Shivaay can't get freshen.." As Annika took Shivaay's name, Rudra teased her, "Yeah.. Yeah.. Now your husband came, now you won't remember us."

"SHUT UP RUDRA.." Both Omkara and Annika yelled at him.

"Go.." Omkara ordered him.

"Yes going. Huhh...!" Making face at them, he turned to leave but again turned at Annika saying, "Bhabhi, go and inform your Shivaay, not to get inside the washroom until the plumber fix the pipeline. We all know how hygienic your Shivaay is.. Dekhne ko mila hygienic hone ke chakkar mein washroom gaye aur pani na mile.. then he will put this entire mansion on his head." Rudra chuckled and left.

"Yes, he was right. Go.." Omkara also took Rudra's side while Annika was in dilemma.

"But me Om.." She hesitated.

"If you won't go to him, how will you get to know about his reaction..? Go and behave normally. Okay?" Omkara insisted her when Annika nodded and left from there.

After finishing his call at UK company, he walked in his room and dumbstruck seeing the room. He looked around and finds his room same as before, each and every single things are kept on it's place. He walked to the self where he kept his business awards. Shivaay took one of the award in his hand and admired it, it's shine hasn't gone yet as if they were under look-over always. Relishing everything, Shivaay remembered Annika's face. He remembered how confidently she met with him in the hall but he acted like a stupid. "How can someone change so much..!" He wondered.

"But why am I caring..?" He pushed his thoughts.

Shivaay walked to another side of the room and admiring the things when Annika came there, but seeing Shivaay so much excited in to his world, she didn't walked it and hide near the door. She was adoring him silently, after all she is seeing him after a long time.

Geeli zameen pe dhoop bikhar gayi..

Din chadha kab utar gayi..

Aur karoon main kitna intezaar tera..

Hearing a beep in her phone, she came back from her dream land. "Go Annika." She saw Omkara's message. Annika scanned the place and saw Omkara was standing at a far and indicating her to get in the room. Taking a deep breath, she gets inside the room.

Shivaay was adoring his things which he left two years back when suddenly he heard her saying, "I told you, when you will return, you will find everything same as before which you left."
