Oppose only if you've ever been in love but never have confessed it. The pre-confession stage in love is the craziest one and I always cringe remembering my personal experience. Though I never can put into words. I can only say that you never use your brain in love. You never think what impression you would make to the family members and to the world. You don't give a shit if the world thinks you're creepy.
As Ishqbaaaz fans all of you must have loved "dard" sequence and the pool sequence. But can any of you explain "dard" in that context? Let me do the honours.
When you're deeply in love with someone and haven't confessed it yet; there's literally a gash of blood flowing through your heart whenever the person is near you. The heart beats faster and when your loved one moves closer to you or gets intimate your heart bursts out of Love. Literally. N I'm not writing crap. This is my personal experience abt a crush I never got to have as love. - apologies for being lost in my own thoughts.
And as per the current track Sso is following his heart. He wants Annika's confession out even if it costs him embarrassment from the family members and the world. I'd say he would've done another cringeworthy stunt in front of the media out of love and make them go awkward.
Tbh watching a couple romancing in real world makes other people watching them feel wierd but love is love for them.

No one is denying Shivaay the right to express his love but there's a difference between expressing your love and becoming romantic infront of others like he did infront of RuVya. Shivaay at his core was a private person. He doesn't organize 'love-aksharis' and he mist definitely would not have pressurized his wife to say her first ILY in public! Even during their sagai in MS he took her aside to romance and give her the kangans. That scene was sweet because it was just between them! It was very cringe inducing seeing him get romantic infront of Rudra and Bhavya!
Shivaay is a chantomai and if he had done the nautanki in private to get her to confess then I would have been fine with it but the problem is everything is public!

Shivaay was classy, sophisticated and suave is everything he did but now those traits are missing and he is acting like a love sick teenager! I am sorry but I find it hard to believe that person loses his core traits when they fall/admit they are in love!

Well said, there is nothing wrong with showing affection to your partner in public but there is a classy way of doing it and a cringy way of doing it. Yesterday the 2nd scene of Shivika was cringy because it was out of character for shivaay. And why does the whole family needs to be part of love confession is beyond me.

Copy pasting what I wrote in another post

It seems people are not understanding our POV. There is nothing wrong with being openly affectionate towards your wife, or even hugging or saying ILU whether as a declaration or as a part conversation as long as it's done by choice. Tricking someone into saying ILU is also fine as long as it is in tune with the nature of person. There would be no issue if it was Rudra planning a game of love-akshari or tricking Bhavya into confessing by feigning a heart attack because he has a childish nature and is generally quite dramatic.

This is SSO we are talking about, who is much older and is more reserved in nature. Whenever he has openly declared the status or the nature of their relationship in front of others, the situation called for it. Sure he can jatao his haq on Annika is front of everyoneone, grab her hand and remove petals from her hair in front of others, but love confession isn't a game and being touchy feely all the time in public is not tune with his characterization.

He is capable of childish antics too, but not in front of public. I would have understood if it was still just his family but there were guests too. Why would he make a spectacle of their first declaration of love?

Even if SSO had to trick Annika into saying it, he would have figured out a way to do everything on his own and not involve everyone else.

First ILU is special. It's something very intimate. Yes, it can happen in public if the situation calls for it, but the situation here didn't call for it.

If you're an introvert, love won't suddenly turn you into an extrovert. It might change your views and make you more accepting or accommodating, but it won't change your personality. In SSO's case, he was an elitist. Love changed his views on NKK and made him see people's true worth. It can make him sleep on the floor because it's a habit that can learned, he can drink chai or eat paav bhaji because that's an acquired taste. But that's how far he will change. Love can change your outlook on life but it doesn't change your fundamental nature.
