thank you!!! I reread your comment multiple times because it made me so giddy that someone understands what I'm trying to achieve with this story as well as I do! I started the story at a time where I thought the show was was going to go more in depth into Anika's childhood and background but the GulNeet ditched it and then the show got totally messed up with the Pinky drama. So, this was just me rewriting Ishqbaaz with my favorite character, however I wanted them to be! I thought it would be so interesting to see the dynamic between Anika and Shivaay if they both belonged to rich families, but if Anika still retained her background from the show! I've struggled to keep her character true to the show with her different background and unconditional love and support from her family. So, thank you for all your love and support. It's so encouraging for me.

I really really loved the interesting premise that you have given to Annika and yet never went away from the traits of Annika from the show. That was the character that I fell in love with from the beginning of the show.

And even the journey of Shivaay & Annika in your story is similar. They never were able to stand each other in the beginning of the show and then there was an attraction that both of them felt for each other during their journey in the show.

You have done the same with your story. They were engaged to be married but never got along with each other and were only together for their families. They are so different from each other and yet same. Both would give anything for the happiness of their respective families. This was the crux established in the show and you have retained that beautifully in your premise as well. I think that what is is making this story so interesting.

And its true that makers have never really explored Annika's character. It would actually make the show even more interesting. It was such an interesting character created on tv with a baggage(about her past) that could have been explored. See how well they have explored Shivaay's character in the show. There were inconsistencies, sloppiness sometimes but still the base of the plot always surrounded around him and his journey. But that is something which is missing from Annika's side but I guess we don't have any say in what makers what to show. But I love IB for Shivika(NarBhi especially) and Obros and I will watch it for them.

I am hoping that your story deals with the flaws of both these and their journey towards love.

This story makes me fall in love with Shivaay & Annika all over again 😊

This was a beautiful piece. The bond between the sisters is amazing and that convo with thier mother was so emotional. Shivay and Anika still have a long road ahead before the become an ideal couple but am sure the bond will be strong.
