Beautiful update...and it warms my heart to the core that your Annika has unconditional love and support in her life now, since from the nightmare we know that that was not the case, she had been alone and scared, and uncared for. I cried for that little girl that is still somewhere buried in the grown up Annika! I love the nuances and the layers you are creating in the characters...simply dying to read the remainder of this story!!

thank you!!! I reread your comment multiple times because it made me so giddy that someone understands what I'm trying to achieve with this story as well as I do! I started the story at a time where I thought the show was was going to go more in depth into Anika's childhood and background but the GulNeet ditched it and then the show got totally messed up with the Pinky drama. So, this was just me rewriting Ishqbaaz with my favorite character, however I wanted them to be! I thought it would be so interesting to see the dynamic between Anika and Shivaay if they both belonged to rich families, but if Anika still retained her background from the show! I've struggled to keep her character true to the show with her different background and unconditional love and support from her family. So, thank you for all your love and support. It's so encouraging for me.

yes she does put others before herself and that's kind of why she decided to agree to marry Shivaay in the first place here! :)
