(Controversial topic I know but this is just my P.O.V. No bashing pls 😉)
Another notch on Shivvay's belt as a supportive and good husband today for just being who he is. The man seems to be unstoppable nowadays and hell bent on wining the "Husband of The Year" award as well.
Lets start with the mature and understanding husband who really and truly knows his wife inside and out.
- "Shivvay Mein Bahut Daar Gayee Thi ... Mujhe Laga Key..."
"Mein Chala Gaya"
The statement was completed in the most understanding and consoling tone ever. He already knew her fears and did not even listen to her message that she had just left on the phone to react and then return. He was there even before she had completed her message and sent it to him.
Shivvay is so tuned into Annika's fears and insecurities that his face mirrored her look of pain when he spoke with her. When she ran to him all he did was absorb her into him while she clutched him tightly as if fearful that he would leave her even now. Him just standing there while she plowed into him was him letting her find solace in him while he let her find it in him.
His embrace was protective, reassuring and strong - making sure to dispel those unwanted fears and calm her tensed body. What followed was Shivvay being Shivvay. He was the protective, supportive and proud husband who was surprised that his wife had to ask that question of him again. The pain that he wore in in eyes and on his face was because of how vulnerable and fragile she was mentally and emotionally to doubt that something like this would make him abandon her.
Now for the crucial statement that made his wife walk out on him. Was it misconstrued by her because she was in so much pain that all she could work on was her absolute and sure knowledge that he would choose his NKK over her??!!
Yes!! It was. It so completely and definitely was.
Think back to what Annika would always say would happen if Shivvay found out the truth about her background time and again with conviction and guarantee. She always said that the day he found out about it would be the last day of their relationship and all it stood for.
Never once did she doubt, falter or second guess that there could be another outcome. She was so completely prepared for the outcome of their relationship ending in her mind that it gave her no other option but to psych herself to believe that it is exactly what he meant when he was talking to his brothers in the kitchen.
What did Shivvay say in the kitchen?
He starts out with "Is mein Annika ki koi galti nahi hai" - His wife is completely blameless in what happened today and also for what happened to her years ago. How can she or could she have control over the fact that she is an orphan!
"Mein jaana chahata hun jisse meri shaadi hui hai who kahan se hai, kaun hai, kya hai... "
"Mere liye mere biwi ka background janna zaruri hai... bahut zaruri hai"
Is it important for him to know her background in order to accept her - no!!! it is not because he already has accepted her. So why is it important??
(Again just my viewpoint and some may disagree - I understand that)
It is important because then I can stop the world and especially my mother from spewing poison and hurting her beyond tears. I can stop her and the world from saying vile things about my wife. I can actually protect her if I know the facts because then I would have something concrete to fight with, like he was a simple middle class man who made and sold soaps but was hardworking and industrious. Something like that gives me facts and knowledge that I can use as weapons to fight on her behalf and make a strong case to put forward.
How can a man who has dealt with logic and facts all his life to make his point always, use absolutely nothing now to stand up against the world and fight for his cause.
There is nothing wrong with Shivvay wanting to know about his wife and where she comes from. It was not that he chose NKK over her but rather he chose her over his NKK.
He has already accepted an orphan as his wife and that was proven by the fact that he went to get her back home. What he needs now is resources and tool to be able to give that same wife the respect, honor and rightful place as an Oberoi Bahu. I do not see any malice in that action taken.
He truly is her Shivvay.
