Mere Shivvay - Part Two

Just my theory and take on : Mere Shivvay and His NKK

Let us list the virtues of Annika's Shivvay (Mere Shivvay) without touching on the NKK scene that caused the ShivIkaians to sink into depression, (me included), since the past two days.

* Annika Meri Biwi hai : The very Public Declaration and Presentation of 'Annika Shivvay Singh Oberoi' that sent us all on cloud 9 and we have not descended from there yet - even with the OmRu NKK conversation that put a wet blanket on our elated state. And I firmly believe we will not descend from there unless the CV's pull a massive about turn in Shivvay's character progression.

* Daksh awarding him 'Husband of the Year' but chiding him about failing as a brother. Mere Shivvay - proven yet once again. He chooses his wife over his sister because that is what his heart led him to do. Right or wrong - I refrain to judge. He could not stand by and watch his 'Pride and Izzat' (his wife) suffer humiliation. How dare the world point fingers at Mrs. Shivvay Singh Oberoi!!

* Tumhari Izzat aab meri hai - and all in the room were witness to that as well!!! But Shivvay you know nothing of this girls past and lineage??!! How can you throw caution to the wind and attach your' Izzat' to hers without knowing about her?

The Answer: Because as a 'Patni' her reputation and respect is his now no matter what that past brings. This marriage is now a package deal - past, present and future. Shivvay has just to work with all three and find that balance when he gets a breather from playing 'Superman' to his Family. Shivvay is not known to be a spontaneous man where Staking his Family's name and Izzat is concerned and he has clearly and firmly stated - Annika is my Family.

NOW FOR THE PROGRESSION THAT HAS HAD US ALL UP IN ARMS ABOUT HOW SELFISH ANNIKA'S SHIVVAY' IS IF NKK IS STILL A HURDLE.

To me the OmRu conversation was just that, OmRu conversation. It was 2 concerned loving brothers discussing the marital situation of their adored older one. Completely legit! Any sibling who loves the other would do it. They are the outsiders looking in and have knowledge of the NKK touting Shivvay married to a non-NKK Annika. Other than that they have never been privy to their private moments barring Rudy's kitchen intrusion on their romantic moment.

But does anyone really know about Shivvay and Annika's marital situation and dynamics - I mean really know about it??!! How much has and does this couple share and let on when it comes to their personal life? How many members of the Family really know where ShivIka stand and how deep that marital vow is?? How many people have been a fly on the wall in the confines of their bedroom??

Answer - No one. That is because these two are like obsessive- possessive kids where their relationship and marriage is concerned. I think only Sahil has little insight into their marriage and its depth because they both find it easy to confide in this non partial innocent angel.

Shivvay may not have forgotten his NKK stance but this is not the same Shivvay of the old. This Shivvay knows, sees and needs only Annika and his brothers have made peace with this because for the first time ever Shivvay is living for himself and not others. In fact the two have always encouraged it and nurtured his dependence on Annika - now his Great Wall. In their opinion, Shivvay has earned this love, adulation and coddling that Annika gives him because she fulfils all that he has missed in his growing up years.

As for Shivvay, life without his 'Jaan' is simply unthinkable. She is the very air that he breathes and the life that surrounds him. He knows that she will never waver no matter what comes his way. This is not going to be a fight between his NKK and Annika but I feel rather a fight between his wife's Izzat and her NKK. My theory is that this thrown as an insult in his face is going to cause the 'Vanvas'. He will be forced to accept Mahi if he is to accept Annika with her lack of NKK.

I know a lot of people found that his attention towards Annika was out of line today when he came to consciousness but I think it was valid coming from where he was, mentally paranoid about almost losing her to death. Remember he admit that during the first blush lesson. The gun shot was show playing over and over in his head. She was too precious to him to lose her now that he had found her. His breakdown with Sahil proved that.

During the Holi scene he again reiterated that 'She was his Family' and then again confirmed that with Sahil when he broke down. I feel this whole distancing him from Pinky and showing his sole attachment to Annika and Sahil is being done to lay the foundations of the NKK insult of Annika that will lead to him walking out with her.

Pinky feeling unloved as a mother is paving the way for Mahi's entry and his acceptance into the Oberoi fold. I don't know if he is going to be announced as the legit child or not (Oberoi Saahab ka bada beta najayaz hai) but I feel both Pinky and Mahi are going to find that they fulfil each other needs of feeling needed and loved. The Instagram of Nikitaji may be in that context of finding the 'Bahu' for Mahi - her real son. Maybe the facts will be twisted to bring about this Mahi-Shivvay change in dynamics with Pinky

That is something I have not worked out as yet but I do know that Shivvay leaving Annika is not a possibility at this juncture. Shivvay has always been steadfast and loyal in his commitments and his relationships especially his marriage to Annika. Whether he sees a future with her or not and her as the mother-of-his children or not leaving HIS WIFE and ABANDONING HER is not in his character at all. That will strip his whole identity as Mere Shivvay' - as in my steadfast rock and anchor.

Pinky might insult Annika and ask that of him (after she overhears Sahil and Annika's conversation) and in response to that I can see him walking out (he has done that before with the ML fiasco and that too without a moment's hesitation). His love, need and respect for Annika outweighs all other things at this point and he is a man who does not take an insult to his wife lightly.

This Vanvas' which might be brought about by Pinky will propel Shivvay to dig into Annika's past in order to restore her reputation.

Annika: "Tumhe Mere Saath Khade Rehene mein Sharam Aati hai?"

Shivvay: "Aaisa nahi hai Annika!!"

Awesome Analysis Asya. I hope you're right because I can not accept Shivaay abandoning Anika because of a random bout of NKK brought on by the writer's monthly reminder 😆 He's in too deep with her, is smitten (as much as Shivaay can be 😆 ) and can't stand the idea of losing her. It has to be something HUGE for him to pull away.
He will not leave her or let her leave - his words not mine ...lol
This is not a separation but his journey towards breaking his NKK belief. I do hope 'Vanvas' happens even if it is for a few months. I would love to see him live with just Annika and Sahil as Shivvay while Mahi steps in as Shivvay to keep the act going so that stocks don't fall ... 😆

I personally feel it might be Anika walking away this time. Let's see.
If she does you will see Mr. Bhagad Billa following her , bags in hand for sure.

So they are assuming this how he will react given a particular situation ! But " Annika ki baat alag hain " for him and he is never going to let her go.

I was wondering about Shivaay's insistence on making Annika sit with him thus making Pinky upset, in the scene where Mahi runs away and just before Annika was shot, she was standing away from the family and kind of left out and Shivaay had to call her to come near them. In the hospital track where Shivaay got shot she had to hide in a food trolley to come and meet her badly injured husband because of Pinky !
There he was quite weak to use his authority to make Annika stay with him. Here also probably he didn't want to repeat the same thing where she is left out and this time he made sure she had that right to sit beside him - Pinky may not like it but duh woman did you think about Annika when you were doing all the emotional blackmailing when your son wanted her by his side ! So no sympathy for this woman.
