True Face of BIAS & NEPOTISM!
DADI AS BOOTH 1.10
Ayesha - How can I not love what you write? I have always loved your stories, follow them quite obsessively at that. How beautifully you portrayed Shivaay and Anika with the theme of colours. Uff. "No corner I wish to have unexplored." I absolutely love, LOVE this line. To be accepting of even the darkest shade of another person, isn't that truly amazing.
And the latest OS, Jealous! You nailed it! Saumya's confession was brilliant, and so was her absolute honesty about how she feels. And Rudra's complete acceptance and acknowledgement of those feelings - he might be a man-child most of the times, but he is (sometimes) the most empathetic person in the Oberoi Mansion, and you depicted just that. AMAZING writing as always. <3
Anu - Eeeps, my favourite couple! And what a soulful touch you brought to this pair. My brain is truly stuck with the image of Ranveer and Prinku with his young nephew, and now it's complete with Nisha and her husband as well. It had taken them some time, but they managed to find peace after some intense turmoil. I loved the way you brought forth this phase of their life.
Innika - *heart-eyes emoticon* I love it when these two get all cute and frisky. They always walk about carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders, so I absolutely adore their light-hearted, passionate moments. And gahahah, how cute is it that Anika consumes the beverage she supposedly hates because she misses her husband?!
Richa - I am a sucker for angst, and this one really tugged at my heartstrings. What a bittersweet ending this one-shot has! I actually cannot verbalise what that short moment of their kiss made me feel. His suppressed emotions and desires finally showing a little; her longing and acceptance with a tinge of peace and happiness. Uff. Is it becoming obvious how invested I am in this pair? Nevertheless, I loved this one-shot so, so much.
Twerps - My dear, dear Twerps. You have broken my heart. Out of all characters, Saumya was someone whom I love, but couldn't connect to. Mostly because a large part of her story was still missing. And you filled it up so wonderfully. I am deeply sad about Sharya and Ankit now. But still, thank you for establishing such a beautiful connection between Rudra and Saumya in this one-shot. It was simultaneously bittersweet and heart-warming.
No, really, I don't understand how I can even write anything close to what you girls have written. How. Howww.
Alright, I shall stop ranting and actually go do something about that one-shot I have yet to complete. But seriously, amazing job, and Innika, thank you once again for initiating this! In LOVE with the stories everyone is coming up with!

Genre: Humour/Romance (Mild sexual references)
Pairing: RumYa
Summary/Synopsis: Three years of courtship, four months of marriage - and still, Rudra effortlessly triggers the landmine that is Saumya's wrath. A short drabble on how Rudra is still learning share space with his better-half.
---------------------------------------------
Couples in love drive each other crazy - at times, even to the brink of something far deeper than insanity.
Rudra Singh Oberoi and Saumya Tendulkar Oberoi are no different.
It was six - six - in the morning when Dadi walked into the kitchen to see the newly-weds screaming at each other.
"Oh-ho, what in the world is happening here? Why are the two of you fighting so early in the morning? Doesn't this usually start around noon?" Honestly, the older woman was surprised her entire family wasn't here witnessing the new couple's squabble like they usually do.
Maybe it was way too early, even for them.
"Dadi, she is yelling at me even after I have apologised, what can I do?!" Rudra began, and his wife gaped.
"Dadi, you have no idea what your grandson told me!" she countered. Both of them were now on the opposite sides of the kitchen counter, with Dadi standing in the middle, shooting them both puzzled looks.
Approximately thirty minutes later, Dadi snuck out of the kitchen without either of them noticing her exit. She managed to learn that the entire argument sprouted from the fact that they have to share the extra room offered to them for their study/office. The entire West wing of the mansion was going through renovations, and most of the study/office rooms situated there had become out of bounds. So, Saumya had been asked to share her own office/study space with Rudra, since hers was situated adjacent to the bedroom the couple shared and completely unaffected by the renovations.
Of course, things would have gone well, but her brilliant grandson had wanted to move all of his giant gym equipment he usually had in his office space. When Saumya reminded him that he was taking up more than his share of space, he just had to make a statement about why she even required that much of space for her books because...well, because some of the books can "take up space in some random box".
Sometimes, Dadi wondered if Rudra even knew his wife at all. The same wife who hoards every book she has ever owned and always has every single one of them displayed on a bookshelf.
Figuring that her sometimes-selfish grandson was indeed deserving of the wrath of Saumya, Dadi made her way to the mansion's garden for some quiet time.
Back in the kitchen, though, Rudra was barely escaping the capsicums that Saumya was throwing ferociously towards him.
"Sumo, baby, come on!! You know I love you! I just wanted some extra space for my equipment..." Rudra trailed off.
"Oh stop it with your puppy face - either you share and take the space offered to you, or you don't take it at all. I have already shifted some of my things and cleared half of the room just for you," Saumya said, completely unaffected by Rudra's pouting lips.
Rudra gulped. Sometimes, even he didn't know why he fought over things that were this trivial. It inadvertently led to him saying something really stupid. What was he thinking, telling her what to do with her books? Her collection of books was the only thing she loved almost as much as him, her handsome hunk of a husband!
"...Fine. I will find a way to make use of the space available," came his meek reply. Saumya almost smiled, but she refrained. She had to maintain this anger for a while more if she wanted to make sure her husband learned a thing or two from this unnecessary argument.
Rudra, though, was already figuring out ways to make his lady-love smile again. He might have a hard time learning how to share, but turning on his charm was basically second nature.
"See Sumo...another fight, another compromise. I am learning! I am doing alright at this, meri jaan," Rudra went on.
"You know what else you do, Rudra?" Saumya questioned, almost too sweetly.
"What?"
"You drive me up the bloody wall!"
It was followed by moment of silence, during which Rudra went from a pouting child to a smirking young man with zero tact.
"...I drive you pretty crazy in bed, too," he murmured under his breath.
"What was that?!"
Spluttering gibberish, Rudra bolted out of the kitchen before Saumya could attack him with the coconut her hand had reached for.
We wouldn't know, but hours later, as they made up almost as quickly as they had begun arguing (only after Rudra vowed never to disrespect her books again), Rudra stayed true to both Saumya's words and his own cheeky comment - he drove Saumya up the wall...quite literally.
End.
