Part 12
Ranveer stood there in shock. He had just shared his life's biggest secret with Priyanka and she ran away saying utter rubbish things. He had enough of her n decided not to talk to her anymore now. he had lots of things to do then wasting his time making her understand which went useless, wasting his time, energy.
A month had passed by now.
All the students where having a day off since their lec had got cancelled.
Ishana was sleeping. Somya was with Rudra, she had asked him to meet her. Om was with Daksh, Rehaan, Ranveer, Robin and Tia. Daksh had planned to go out. Ishana, Anika, Rudra, Priyanka and Somya were disinterested and asked others to go have fun.
Anika was sitting inside her room lost in thoughts. Shivaay's thoughts. She had got to know something about him. Which shocked her and made her admire him more. She smiled and remembered what happened last afternoon.
FLASHBACK..
Anika, Ishana and Somya along with Rudra and Omkara had went out for shopping, it had almost been a month they hadn't shopped. As soon as they entered the mall all went in other direction to buy things for them.
Anika had chosen some tops and 2 jeans and was inside changing room trying out them. She tried all n loved all so decided to purchase them all. She came out and saw Aunty (Pinky)
Anika ran towards her n smiled
Anika: aunty!!!
Pinky: arre, Anika!! meri bacchi..ksi hai tu??
Anika: mein ekdum mast. aur aap?
Pinky: mein bhi theek hu. toh, meine sunna hai k kal tumhara off day hai.
Anika: haa aunty. meine toh planning bhi kar li hai mein kya karungi?
Pinky: accha?? kya karne wali hai tu?? chal bataa..
Anika: okay..aapko toh pata hi hoga ki colg me mon-sat ase hi nikal jaata hai, lec k bich milta ek sun hi hai. usme hum sab sote hi rehte hai. pr aaj sun hai aur hum sab ne socha k aaj shopping kar k mast yaha waha ghumenge aur kal soyenge, mein jaanti hu kal koi nahi soyega ek Ishana ko chod k. pr meine na kal ka plan thoda alag banaya hai. mein na kal bahar niklungi, Deradhun ghumungi pr akele. mujhe na thoda tym akele spend karna hai. soch rahi kaha jau? Deradhun me ghumne jsa kya hai aunty? akele I mean. mujhe na shaanti chahiye. plzz batayi na..mein bahot thak chuki hu. thodi refreshment chahiye thi.
Pinky: kyu puttar, kya hua? thak kse gayi tu? itni choti hai, aur thak gayi..
Anika: aaphi k bete k wajah se.
Pinky: Oh My Mata! Shivaay k wajah se?? matlab? kya kiya usne?
Anika: aunty abh kya batau? (she opened her mouth n shut it tightly. What the hell? Anika bevakuf ladki, tu abhi aunty ko yeh batane wali thi k tu Shivaay k baare mein 24*7 sochti rehti hai, qki tu unko like karne lag gayi hai? woh kya sochengi..) woh..haa, unhone na mujhe woh..woh..umm..woh assignment, haa assignment diya tha 50 times modes of entry likho. likh likh k haath dard kar rahe hai. isliye meine kaha k mein thak gayi.
Pinky: kyaaa? tu ruk, mein abhi usse puchti hu k woh tere saath ase kse kar sakta hai..
Anika: kyaaa? P...pr..ky..kyu?
Pinky: chal mere saath.
Anika: kaha?
Pinky: Shivaay k paas.
Anika almost lost her balance.
Pinky dragged Anika with her.
Pinky: woh raha..chal aa..
Anika closed her eyes, gulped n tried hiding herself.
Pinky: billu!!
Shivaay who was busy checking out few shirts turned.
Shivaay: yes maa?
Pinky: teri himmat kse hui mere bacchi k saath asa karne ki..
Shivaay: bacchi? kon? ohh, u mean D..meine kys kiya uske saath?
Pinky: Drashti nahi..Anika.
Shivaay again turned and this time with shocked n widen eyes.
Pinky: Anikaaa...(and pulled her out n Anika gave him a m sorry wala look n looked down)
Shivaay: meine kya kiya tumhare saath Anika?
Anika: kuch nai..
Pinky: ase kse kuch nahi..tune usse 50 baar ek ans likhaya. kyu? kya kiya tha usne asa?
Shivaay: lec bunk kiya tha, mujhse behas kar rahi thi aur mujhe
Pinky: tujhe kya?
Shivaay: gussa aa gaya.
Anika looked at him n shifted her gaze.
Pinky: Shivaay, 22 saal ka ho gaya hai tu. abh toh bada ho jaa..ase chote chote baato pr gussa karte raha toh kse chalega?
Shivaay: maa..plzz..uski galti thi meine punish kiya. baat khatam. mein shopping kar raha,hu do not disturb me.
Pinky: haan haan..bada aaya do not disturb me bolne wala..ghar chal phir batati hu
Shivaay: mom!! (n left from there)
Anika: aunty, Shivaay sir bas 22 k hai?
Pinky: haa puttar. cute hai na mera beta?
Anika: handsome bhi.
Pinky suddenly looked at her with what-did-you-say look
Anika: mera matlab k..woh sirf 22 saal k hai aur phir bhi hume padhate hai.
Pinky: haa puttar. woh kya hai na..Shivaay sirf paida hua tha jab uske papa guzare gaye, unke k guzar jaane k baad, hum jaise raste pr hi aa gaye the. kaha woh bade ghar me rehna..sab badal gaya. mein joh ghar pr beth kar naukro ko kaam karne bolti thi, woh kaam dhundne lagi. hum Mumbai rehte the. pr tum toh jaanti ho, Mumbai me rehna aasan nahi..isliye phir meine apne saare ghene bech diye aur Deradhun aa gaye mein aur mere chotuse Shivaay k saath. Inhone Deradhun me ek flat kharida tha, mere naam pr, toh tab se hum yahi reh rahe hai. mein yaha aakar jewellery shop me kaam karne lagi, Shivaay chota tha tab tak utni kamayi kaafi hoti thi pr jse woh badte gaya kamayi kam. Kharche badh gaye. mein ek bcom graduate hu, toh meine phir school me try kiya aur mujhe 1st-4th k baccho ko padhane ka mauka mila, mein yeh pehle bhi kar sakti thi pr tab Shivaay bahot chota tha. Saal bith gaye, Shviaay 14 saal ka ho gaya. aur ek baar aakar mujhse kehne laga k usse bhi kaam karna hai, meine saaf mana kar diya. pr usse dikh rhaa tha k ghar chalane me bahot taklif ho rahi mujhe, isliye usne kaam dhunda, ghar ghar jaake newspaper bechne ka..usse mahine k 2,000 milte the. meine bahot mana kiya pr woh mana nahi. mera Shviaay bachpan me hi bada ho gaya. uss pr woh saari zimedariya na chahte huye bhi aa gaye..jab bachpan me usse khelna kudhna chahiye tha waha woh kaam kar raha tha taaki mujhe thodi help ho jaaye. mera baccha, subhe jakdi uthkar sab k ghar ppr deta ths phir school jaata tha..waha se aakar padhai khud se karta tha. kaam karne k bavjhut 1st aaya karta tha, padhai ka bahot shauk tha usse, agar hum wohi amir hote toh Shivaay aaj yu colg me padha rhaa nahi hota. mera baccha padh raha hota..sirf 22 saal ka hai..mujhe kabhi kabhi bahot sharam aati hai khud pr. mere wajah se mere bacche ko bahot kuch sehna padha.
Anika kept looking at Pinky with sympathy. Pinky was crying n Anika hugged her. Shivaay who was standing there had heard everything n saw Anika crying.
Anika: aunty, Shivaay sacchi me bahot hi acche hai. mujhe pata nahi tha k..mujhe woh acche lagte hai hi pr aaj se meri nazar me unke liye izzat aur bhi badh gayi. m ssly lucky k mujhe Shivaay jse prof mile.
Pinky: beta..
Anika: don't worry..yeh baat sirf aapke aur mere bich hi rahegi. promise.
Pinky: thankyou beta.
Anika smiled..Shivaay who himself had tears in his eyes by now also smiled. He cleared his throat n Anika and Pinky looked shocked.
Shivaay: maa agar aapki shopping ho gayi ho toh challe?
Pinky: haa..chal..Anika, tu bhi chal..
Shivaay paid for his n his moms shopping n saw Anika waiting in the other side of the que waiting for her number.
Shivaay: Anika, come..
Anika went near him n looked confusingly at him
Shivaay took her clothes n asked at the bill counter for her bill n paid for her.
Anika: sir..sir..sir nahi..sir plzz..nahi nahi nahi..sir iski koi jarurat nahi hai..sir..plzzz..aapne bill kyu bhara?? mein bhar deti..
Shivaay: bas asehi..njoy..
Saying so he left with Pinky..
Anika stood there looking at him till he got vanished n smiled. Her gaze was broke by Ishana's voice..the gang had came..The gang along with Anika had food some fun n all came back. From that time Anika was lost in Shivaay's thoughts.
FLASHBACK ENDS..
Anika: Shivaay..(dreamily)
Anika got up from her bed n breathe out. She took her bag packed it with a water bottle, hanky, lipbamb, comb, hat, sunglasses, tissues, money, mobile, headphones, scarf, sheet, camera, book, pen in case she decided to note down some imp or amazing things. kissed Ishana's forehead n left.
Anika had searched many places n finally decided that Mussoorie was the best to visit. She left n went till Deradhun bus stop, n took a bus which would stop at Mussoorie. She sat at the window seat n started listening songs. In an hour or so she reached Mussoorie. Anika was really excited. She started walking n walking n walking n walking..she took many pictures some selfie, some with the locals some of the nature, some of the hills, she was excited, finally she reached her destination. It was in the middle of the hills. The climate had suddenly changed. She started feeling cold. She had her hoody. but that was not helping her. Anika saw a small hotel n entered it.
Anika: chotu, ek glass garma garam chai dena. bahot thand lag rahi hai.
Chotu: ji madam. 2 min.
Anika: okk..
Anika was waiting for her tea when she saw the lady with her tea and some snacks.
Anika: meine sirf chai maangi thi.
Lady: didi, aapko thand lag rahi hai na? thode tym me aur badh jayegi. hume aadat hai. aap nahi sambhal payengi aap kha liye. accha lagega. aap thoda time wait ki jiye. Baraf padhne wali hai.
Anika: kyaaa? abh mein kya karu??
Lady: dariye math..aap aaj raat yahi ruk jayiye..kal subha rasta saaf ho jayega toh aap jaa sakti hai.
Anika: kal subhe? mera lec hai. mein ruk nahi sakti. barf padhna shuru thodi hua hy..mein abhi fataak se nikalti hu..aaram se bus stop pohuch jaungi..
Lady: didi, barf kabhi bhi gir sakti hai..aap kyu risk le rahi hai. bas aaj raat ko hi toh baat hai.
Anika: arre aap samajh nahi rahi hai.
Lady: aap samajh nahi rahi didi..Mussoorie ki thandi bahot khatarnak rehti hai..aur jab Baraf padhti hai tab toh ghar se bahar nikal na jaan ko dhoka daayak ho sakta hai.
Anika: matlab?
Lady: didi, yaha Baraf girne k wajah se bahot saare log joh yaha ghumne ate hai (visitors) thandi seh nahi paate aur..
Anika: aur??
Lady shook her head in a negative way indicating visitors die due to suffocation.
Anika gulped.
Anika: kaha phaas gayi yaar..kya sochi thi mein..mujhe nahi marna...kya karu?? Isshu ko batadu kya?? haa..
Anika called Ishana
Ishana woke up n saw it was Anika who was calling..She sat on her bed n received her call.
Ishana: Annu? kya hua??
Anika: Isshu, ek gadbad ho gayi hai.
Ishana: kya hua? kidhar hai? bol naa..
Anika: Isshu, mein yaha Mussoorie aayi hu. Akele, ghumne. aur..
Ishana: aur tujhe meri yaad aa rahi hai..hai na??
Anika: bahot..
Ishana: pr phir isme gadbad kya hai? bas tu ruk mein abhi aati hu..
Anika: nahi..tu bilkul nahi..khabardaar joh tu yaha aayi toh..
Ishana: kyu, kya hua?
Anika: Isshu, yaha baraf girne wali hai.
Ishana: wow!! super cool!! ek no na..tu call rakh mein aa rahi hu.
Anika: Ishana!! tu samajh nahi rahi. yaha baraf gir rahi hai. mein phas gayi hu. kal shayad lec k liye bhi nahi aa paungi..ya phir shayad wapis hi nahi..
Ishana : CHUP!! ek thappad marungi na ase bakwas ki toh..tu tension math le..mein kuch h karti hu.
Anika: tu kuch nahi karegi. tujhe mein kasam hai tu yaha nahi aayegi..tu sunn rahi hai na? hello? hello? Ishana? Shit!! mujhe yaha se nikal na hoga..mein Ishana yaha pohuchne tak nikal jaungi..pr mein Isshu ko kuch hone nahi dungi.
Saying so Anika left the hotel n started running back to Mussoorie bus stand.
Here, Ishana tried calling everyone n to her shock everyone had their phone either switched off or unavailable. She threw her phone in anger n sat down crying. Anika was in danger. She stood up n decided to talk to Shivaay. She went inside prof cabin n luckily Shivaay was discussing something with D. Ishana without knocking entered inside.
Ishana: sir!!
Shivaay: Ishana? sab theek toh hai na? kya hua? itni darri kyu ho?
Ishana: sir woh..Mussoorie..
Shivaay: waha toh baraf girne wali hai. News me dikha rahe hai. plzz waha jaane ka plan math banana. It could be I mean it's risky.
Ishana: sir Anika..
Shivaay: Anika kya?
Ishana: sir woh..
Shivaay: kya?
Ishana: Anika Mussoorie gayi hai aur..
Shivaay lost his balance n looked shocked. He ran outside followed by Ishana and D.
Shivaay: mujhe abhi issi waqt Anika ka no do.
Ishana gave him Anika's no n Shivaay left without answer Ishana n D.
Anika was mid way when it started snowing. At first it was snowing lightly n in a fraction of second, it started snowing heavily. Anika started suffocating still kept running. She stopped at a point due to giddiness n lost consciousness.
Shivaay reached Mussoorie by evening but was denied entry inside the hills due to heavy snowfall. He had tried calling Anika several time but she didn't received his call, neither did she called him back. Shivaay couldn't wait there n as soon as he saw that the police were busy in talking he slowly entered inside the hills n ran inside.
Shivaay: Anika!!!!
He shouted her name on top of his voice. He searched her everywhere n saw that the road ahead was filled with snow till knee length .He got scared. maybe Anika was..no!!!
Shivaay somehow entered inside the knee deep snow and tried walking, but it was difficult since the snow was slippery. He somehow walked upto a tree n stopped there for few mins as he too felt suffocated there. After few mins he tried to move n fell down as something came under his feet..he turned around to see n was shock to see a hand. He quickly tried n cleared the snow and was shocked to see Anika buried beneath the snow..He with great difficulty removed Anika from the snow.
Shivaay: Anika!! Anika!! open ur eyes!! yeh toh thandi padh gayi hai. aur saans bhi nahi le rahi..Anika!!! kya karu?? Anika plzz plzz get up!! tum mere saath asa nahi kar sakti..tum mujhe chod kar nahi jaa sakti..plzzz..
He removed his jacket n hoody and made Anika wear them. He rubbed her hands but she was not responding. Shivaay finally lifted her in his arms n started walking.
Shivaay reached Mussoorie entry board n the police saw Shivika n helped them. Shviaay took Anika to a near by hospital along with the police.
Shivaay had tears in his eyes. He was waiting outside the ICU. Doc had said that Anika's health was critical and that they needed to check her.
Shivaay looked broken, he kept staring at the ICU door when his phone ranged.
Shivaay: maa?
Pinky: kya hua?? Anika mili? ksi hai woh? mujhe Drashti ne bataya..beta hum sab colg me hai. Anika k dost, mein aur Drashti.
Shivaay: mili na..zindagi aur maut k bich..
The phone was on speaker. Ishana and the whole gang who were back heard Shivaay. Ishana fell down hearing this.
Somya: sir..sir..konse..konse hospital?
Shivaay: Mussoorie Lifeline Hospital.
Somya: hum aa rahe hai.
Shivaay disconnected the call.
Somya: Ishana, hume abhi Mussoorie Lifeline Hospital chalna hai.
Rudra: sab chalte hai.
Somya: okay..chalo..
The gang along with D and Pinky left for Mussoorie.
Here, Shivaay was waiting for the doc to come out.
Doc: Mr, Kapoor?
Shivaay: jii doc? Anika ksi hai?
Doc: she is out of danger. pr unhe under observation rakhna padega aaj ki puri raat.
Shivaay: usse hosh aaya??
Doc: haa. pr woh bolne k halat me nahi hai.
Shivaay: kya mein usse mil sakta hu?
Doc: sure. pr bas 5 min k liye.
Shivaay: yes doc. thankyou.
Shivaay entered inside n saw a pale looking Anika sleeping on the bed with almost 5 blankets covering her.
Shivaay went near her n touched her forehead. Anika with great difficulty opened her eyes n saw Shivaay.
Anika: Shiv..
Shivaay: shhh..chup..aaram karo..
Anika closed her eyes n shivered. Shivaay saw that there was 1 more blanket kept near the table n covered Anika with it.
Shivaay sat besides her.
Shivaay: tum kitni bevakuf ho Anika..akele gayi Mussoorie..?? aaj agar mein tym pr nahi pohuchta..toh? agar tumhe kuch ho jaata toh? aaj k galti k liye mein tumhe kabhi bhi maaf nahi karunga.
Anika could hear everything but couldn't say anything.
Shviaay stood up n was abt to leave when he turned back n kissed Anika on her forehead.
He came out n sat outside and in an hour everyone reached at the hospital n Shivaay told them that Anika was fine now.
Ishana sat there still shocked, Om took her in a hug. Somya sighed in relief n looked at Rudra who gave her a warm assuring smile that everything was OK now. Shivaay left from there followed by Pinky n D..Pinky stopped Shivaay n hugged him n to D's shock Shivaay cried.
Shivaay: kitni bevakuf hai yeh ladki maa..agar isse kuch ho jaata toh..?? mom..I cant afford to lose her. mujhe nahi pata asa kyu..pr mein Anika ko nahi kho sakta. yeh baat mujhe aaj jab meine usse baraf k andar dekha tab realise huyi..
Pinky didn't said anything n hugged her son tightly.
D heard him, she cried n ran away from there.
D: Shivaay loves Anika..oh God!! no..mein kya karu?? usse toh mein acchi lagti thi na..woh mujhse pyaar karta tha..toh abh..??
