That is something this producer's shows don't have. Men act badly and then forgiven. It leaves you with a bitter taste in your mouth. She has never shown a woman get the better of a man. Walk away, make a life for herself and FORCE him to respect her and treat her as an equal. Sweet revenge on a man like this would be SO fun to watch. But we wont get to see it.

The difference between the bad behavior of a so called Hero and the bad behavior of a so called Villian is REDEMPTION! A Hero, will redeem himself. He will "acknowledge" that he is wrong, and the audience will also acknowledge he's wrong and then see him making it right! Making "excuses" for the man, calling his bad actions as the "new good", and insulting people who think his actions were unforgivable is NOT the way to do it.

This producer acts like a teenager and is really rude and a sadist. I have watched several of her shows and she is one of the worst I have come across in the way she treats fans. She is arrogant, dismissive and always loves to insult females in her shows. It's sad she has made a Career out of despising her own sex and showing them as helpless in front of powerful badly behaved men. She cannot do a story for a man who is not bad, coz she doesn't even know how. That is why the other brothers get ignored. They are not Grey enough, villainous enough, to get more of her screen time. She thinks only men like Shivaay who respects no one but blue bloods with money deserve to take center stage. Well she is wrong!

I felt offended reading some of the comments about how HOT Shivaay was while pushing Annika around and some comments about clean sheets? I won't even go into it. To think that a FEMALE producer acts so hyper about a man acting like a maniac and an abuser like he won the Nobel Price for peace was pathetic. The side-show that Gul Khan ran about her excitement for this track was worse than the things portrayed by the track itself. To think Shivaay is any way JUSTIFIED in acting this way is laughable. No one is justified in acting this way. His reasons for forcing a marriage on someone was lame at best. It just proved that "Loss of face" in front of society was all he cared about, and that was no shining endorsement to him. Yes, he acted like a shallow person. But that should not be celebrated or justified. It should be shown for what it is! I think the ONLY reason those scenes were even palatable was because of Nox and SC. Gul should thank her lucky stars their casting is always right.

Yaaas girl PREACH!👏

and you know what all this for whaat??? the damn trps :( and if you notice the "assault" continue throughout the whole wedding ceremonies, the way shivaay kept holding anika's wrist tightly and was threatening her and after threatening he continued to manhandle her.

fantastic post, so well written.

Mallu

Thank you Mallu!! 😳
Yup, TRP's are the top priority! Everything (including basic human decency and morality) is secondary!

OH the IRONY. When Annika was crying onto Shivaay while he pinned her hands behind her back, people said she was finding "comfort in his arms". LOL. But if it's Romi comforting Rudra "EW Gross!"

coming to ishqbaaz i wonder how this show or anika is "nayi soch"...
while we are regressing with time our foreign counterparts has raced way ahead of us...
i dnt think i can see a protagonist like feriha,fatmagul,deren/yagmur on indian tv...
what's more apalling is these silly fanatics going gaga over this abuser's...
my friend showed me a tweet nd tagged it as #RIPwomanhood..the tweet read like this:
@gorkymax we girls love it when sm1 like SSO forces himself upon us
#HOT
like seriously...
anyway i hope sm1 forward this to gul khan so that she can change the storyline..
PS:how is gul khan offscreen...how do she interact with fans...i knw the urlremoved vids are nothing but BS

UGH GROSS that girl needs to just speak for herself!
As far as Gul goes, I think she views herself as very modern and groundbreaking. But if you look at her shows it's just typical vamp-mahaan routine stuff.

Kuch logon ka dimaag kharab ho gaya hai. Apparently rational thought shall be no more. Try telling people on this forum that Shivaay has lost his ever lovin mind...that he assaulted her (yes he did)...that tv can have a negative influence on you when terrible things are romanticized...that hes crossing all sorts of lines. And then they get very angry and start throwing curses at you and then label you a feminist and tell you to look at it from Shivaay's side and all sort of crap. What the hell? Btw, when did wanting respect as a woman (forget woman, as a human being) become a feminist issue? I wouldn't want something like this to happen to a woman or a man.
And are people really using look at this from Shivaay's angle as a defense...ohhh he's such a tortured soul...he doesn't love anyone more than his family and can do anything for his family. I can even understand that a person can do anything for his family...but it's still WRONG. It doesn't excuse the behavior.

And wht the hell is wrong with Gul? I know I shouldn't speculate or get personal but show after show she keeps showing really bizarre behaviors thus I have to ask: What is wrong with her?

My god...if I met a man like Shivaay Singh Oberoi (naam jitne bade kaam utne hi choote aur ghatiya), as much as I hate violence and never partake in it...I would have the strongest urge to become violent. To be honest, if I met a man like Shivaay Singh Oberoi in real life...I would be disgusted beyond reasoning and I wouldn't consider him a man at all. A real man defends a woman's honor, stands up for her, and respects women (and everyone else)...u know the boring stuff apparently. I don't know why people don't see that as attractive anymore...you think tv might have influenced you into romanticizing jackasses like SSO. Do some women not care if men have no morals? I am genuinely asking.

Oh and dadi...is she insane??? Sindoor, mangalsutra, phere, sindoor, mangalsutra, phere, sindoor, mangalsutra, phere jap ti hi rehti hai. Apparently, wht Shivaay did was only a galti but if he ripped that all sacred MANGALSUTRA then he will be doing a gunaah. Is she crazy? Apparently ripping someone's mangalsutra from their neck is worse then forcing someone to marry you by threatening to murder a young innocent handicapped kid?

Hazataay: if you don't mind me asking. Who is that couple kissing in that gif?

Girl, YES 👏 TO 👏 ALL👏OF👏THE👏ABOVE👏!! Especially the bold words! Dadi has fallen extremely low in my eyes. It's sad, because she always seemed so progressive (for a Dadi).

The thing is, this problem is not confined to just Indian TV. It IS present in American TV, too. And we really can help it if we speak out against it!

Sad how one show continues to contradict itself :(

That was honestly the most dizzying thing I've ever tried to comprehend. Stating facts and presenting the obvious is not "generalizing" and criticism is not "bashing". It amazes me how the defenders of this horrible scene continue to use "bashers" as some sort of smear label for every critic. Simple and honest criticism is not a personal attack (which is what, I'm assuming, "bashing" is).
In my original post, I did warn you that you were going to be presented with REALITY. If you can't handle it, fine, but don't act like everybody should be complicit with something so disgusting. And please, decide whether you're actually okay with something or not before being upset with the critics.
Finally, I wrote my post because of all of the support I saw for the scene. People left and right were calling it "hot" and wishing that they were in Annika's place. If people knew right from wrong, why would they support the "wrong" so enthusiastically?

People are so defensive of this "hot" and "sexy" scene of theirs, and they immediately use words such as "bashing," it's like a defense mechanism, a reflex. I was fine with this person, like, think whatever the heck you want. But I can't stand it when people contradict themselves like this! This person says that they understand, when their words clearly prove that they don't. And I didn't like the way this person was indirectly trying to say that we can't share our opinions just because they don't agree with it.
