What I like most about om character is that even he is cool, calm and compose he does not look submissive. I mean if you look other male characters on other shows or till now I have watched there is definitely two categories. First is aggressive dominating ones and second type is calm and submissive ones.

Om is entirely different case. He never get aggressive but when he does not agree with something he can be brutally blunt. He use words to slap other. He is neither dominating nor submissive.

He is indeed a unique character. Omkara is not your typical "Male lead" (If I may use it). Omkara is not a ruthless arrogant businessman who throws temper tantrums and who in fact has a heart of gold as opposed to what the general public thinks of him. Omkara is not your typical "Charmer" who can make girls swoon at the sight of him. He isn't your goof ball who would make the sad girl smile with his antics or irritate her to her death. In fact there hasn't been a character like Omkara on tv, at least in my knowledge. Omkara has a calm exterior, he comes off as the sensible soul and in many matters he is. Yet he isn't quite as calm. Beneath his placid exterior there lie several layers of turbulence. He is often conflicted yet stubborn to hold up the part of him which he presumes to be the most suitable. He holds his ideals dear to him no matter how irrational they are. He wears his heart on his sleeves; he is nave, stubborn and vulnerable. He sprouts shayari and is often too preachy. He is boring often but very interesting in the next minute. He is remarkably unique and we have to hand it to Gul for creating him😆
