what makes things different is the characters and the way the CVs gives and portrays their show.

I was a regular viewer of IPK, and only watched Geet, QH and other shows on and off...
i still say Shivika are different, IB is also different for me...
so no comparisons from my part

I beg to differ. Ek Hasina thi revenge plot, Dehleez, Reporters are all brilliant shows. Even Jassi Jaisi koi nahin. Ek Hasin thi did well in the TRP front. It si only the creatives who have to try new stuff and I am sure IB also would become a drag fest in the later stage. she will bring kala jaddoo, murdering 4 ppl. Even here Gayatri was saying that Oberoi mansion khoonon sei bani hai

Kuch bhi ho one thing we will all agree gul's on screen jodi create magical chemistry..whether it's arshi shivika maneet or asya...also love the way gul shows the falling in love phase...on going current track of shivika I'm loving it.

jjkn copied ugly betty, a hindi version of ugly betty I think that was the show's name, ek hasina thi is copied from revenge an american tv series showed the story of a girl revenging the family for what happened to her father, these were not new.

hit shows they were but copied from others, as for dehleez I dunno.

Geet was in star one and ipk was in starplus even gul madam said in her interview that Arshi was inspired by maan geet of geet.

No problem. Something new to Indian audience. For ppl like me who don't watch other than Indian serials it is a treat to watch. Instead of throwing the same old stuff once in 2 yrs it is far better.

gk shows get popular only because of chemistry and good performance by actors, otherwise like you said everything is copied.

ek hasina thi was copied from an American show and given an indian touch, and even in that there were some common cliche scenes😛
Dehleez same too, not first time a bahu fighting against her family in court either
Reporters same too, i guess if i search well, i can easily find from which show at least the basic plot was taken😆

irrespective of whether you watch indian or western shows, copy pasting from existing plots means the same thing...

Personally this is my first GK show while it's on air, although I did see scenes of IPK in YouTube after it went off air. And I haven't seen her other shows. So for me at least it's a wonderful experience. There will be other people too who didn't watch any of her previous shows. So even if it's a recycled version of the previous couples' scenes, individual actors who portray the scenes make it "unique " and of their own.

My only question to Gul is 'Is the IB the format same when she first started to write the story or did she change it in the middle. The original promo was completely different and the thing which is shown currently is being entirely different. The story cannot be made with only just these two. You need to in parallel develop other characters only then the audience would be able to connect at later stage. The plot needs to grow strongly side by side with the romance between the two leads wherein the former is highly missing in IB as of now.
