Not only is this recycling, it has no story to back up the scenes. In IPK, Khushi tries on the outfit because Lavanya asks her to as Khushi herself is going to be a bride. Here, trying on Tia's outfit makes no sense and the makeup is done so perfectly, there is nothing that is natural about the scene.

Not sure what Gul is trying tp pull. If she thinks making stylized scenes where the leads walk in slo-mo is story telling...it is one hell of a failure

oh yes..asad's office was at least shown too...but shivaay's?...nope!

I keep wondering what gul was doing for 1-1.5 years if she came up with this😆

oh yes!...the slow motion and other kind of over the top screenplay...what is with that?gul never did this in her previous shows.

Anika's clothes and make up is always perfectly done...not just this scene😆

its cliche af, but i still love it & i still watch it! :P

#Shivika are literally a remake of #ArShi & tbh i dont mind it one bit. its fiction, theres enough "reality & logic" for us to deal with anyway in real life, so finding solace and resort in these shouldnt be and isnt wrong.

To the audience that this does not connect to/with... theres a truckload of other and more stuff on tv, so best of luck if that clicks! =)

^^personally I am not looking for any reality in these love stories...but I do want gul to do something new...can we heroes who are not so stuck up,who joke?can we have some light hearted banter?..like raman ishita kept bantering but had their passionate moments too..and a strong emotional connect...as somebody who had only been watching 4 Lions shows raman ishita's dynamics were really refreshing.

Gul's heroes have too many issues(raman had issues too but he was so entertaining in his banters with ishita)...and the bigger problem is that they deal this by being prejudiced or cruel or judgemental or downright petty towards the female lead...how the audience keeps liking the same stories again and again is something i do have bit of a problem understanding.

I think some differences can always be found between 4 Lions couples but the basic template is still the same...unlike saurabh tewari's love stories which are actually different from one another.

Perhaps gul thinks anything other than this basic template won't be trp friendly...that is why I am waiting for the web series to see if she can do something entirely different.

She was very naive and let Arnav treat her the way he wanted and I'm pretty sure when she got teased about the fashion show video thing, Shyam had to rescue her and then she left Lucknow because of it. You'd never see her sticking up for herself the way Anika does.

In fact I'm pretty sure the building collapse where Khushi stood up for herself fiercely and gave it back to Arnav full on was treated like a rare occasion. Also I mean Arnav did so much to her including dropping her from the first floor yet still she didn't lose it on him. Shivaay isn't even as bad as Arnav yet Anika gives it back twice as hard and hides her emotions so she doesn't appear weak in front of anyone. I don't think anyone can compare Anika to Khushi because Anika is clearly stronger and has more self respect even if we compare her to the early days of IPK.

Gul Khan has said herself that she loves the Mills and Boons template. There are minor differences in all of her shows' characters. There is variation of qualities in her female leads but her men are all the same. Maan, Arnav, Asad, Sahil and now the exterior of Om and Shivaay is too alike even with contradictory moral values.

Pide and Prejudice is an all-rounded story. Mr. Darcy isn't brooding but quite honest and blunt and perhaps also shy in society which gets misread as his pride. Majority of GK characters are formulated after Mills and Boons books not Austen, and that template keeps all her shows alike with recyclable scenes because so far GK has only shown through her work that she can take one idea towards different tangents but not come up with different ideas itself. Perhaps the reason she chopped off Ishana's character was because she herself didn't know how to handle a story that she introduced and was out of the box of her usual characters.

If EK can recycle her dramatics, then GK has a far more tolerable template and has full authority to recycle the theatrical love stories she herself loves so much.

Yes yes yes ! It's the same story repeating, same ML and FL characters, same scenes recycled.

So what ? We are still here obsessed with the show, discussing and dissecting every layer of Every character, aren't we? There was a show Tamanna before IB, where the FL was everything that we wanted her to be. Did anyone watch it and discuss anything in that forum?

The truth is there are suckers for such romance and we are one of those.

I disagree about arnav being worse than shivaay...but I agree about anika giving back in a better manner than khushi...but eventually even she comes back to shivaay,comes back to work for him and the family that keeps quiet when he insults her...also words alone do not determine ones self respect...anika trying on dresses for tia while tia ordering her in that patronizing manner was something i couldn't digest...but well shivaay had to see her all decked up so why not?😆
