Another beautiful portrayal of Shivvay's heart in action...complicated by the words coming from his mouth!😆 I too thought about it for a minute when he said it, but then the lover in me won over the woman in me, and therefore no feminist morcha today from me. I agree with you on several counts. One, it's natural for him to take care of his own...and she lives in his heart, so who can belong to him more? He is the WALL, and so paying for things is natural to him. The fact that Om and Ru both didn't bring monry...it's subconscious behavior when going out with Shivvay...no need for them to worry about monetary concerns. Om, doesn't carry a wallet many times, even when not with Shivvay, for his wall is always only a call away.
Two... he will bend over backwards to give her any measure of happiness, and not have to admit that what he did was for her happiness or her enjoyment, so he tops it off with typical Shivvay high handedness...nothing more.
Three... he is more a realist than a dreamer... I think we all can agree on that. So being a realist, capitalistic businessman that he is, he capitalizes on the opportunity to buy himself some unadulterated joy...the joy of seeing her enjoy the little things in life...letting her relive a missed childhood... and in bonus, getting to experience simple uncomplicated merriment in eating a sweet treat that he normally would never condecend to...because it's not in the fabric of a well made wall to bend or falter.
Ok...your comment back to me on your post yesterday was incentive to write this babble... so no excuses...you asked for it!! 😲😆
