Rudra didn't reply but left the room and Om cursed himself for shouting at him as he knew hw Rudr was, at this time shouting would just have provoked his anger more nothing else...Om heard the sound of screeching tires and had a sigh of relief it was no one other than Shivaye himself...he came running to his room and inquired about Rudr
Shivaye "How is Rudr, where is he? He must be mad at me"
Om rolled his eyes "yes he is mad at you. Where you were? you promised him to be back on time He just went to his room, and cherry on the top he didn't eat nor did anything else, he was waiting for you for last two hours, why your phone is unreachable, he is extremely mad at you ...How can you be so irresponsible Shivaye you know him and you know how frustrated he is..."
Shivaye.."You can scold me later first let me tackle the tantrum king"
Om followed Shivaye walking towards pool side "he must be mad at me too ... Om lowered his voice and mumbled "i scold him too,"
Shivaye just looked at Om ..."Om if you can't control the situation you shdn't have messed it up further, he is a kid how can you do this "
Om..."I am sorry but i was frustrated, he was in pain and agony and was not listening to me, he refused to have food or meds before your return ... he was stubborn what else could I have done?"
Om started scolding Shivaye" and you tell where were you ?"..
Shivaye "I know I know...but I got stuck in some important work"
Om..." and what that work supposedly important work was?...signing a deal or dealing with some tantrums?...Om rolled his eyes and in frustrated tone asked Shivaye... "Shivaye what is your priority man?"
Shivaye" It was not about any meeting; it was about Gayatri"
Om's anger vanished and a worry took over his words "is there something we should be concerned about?
Shivaye "no just stay calm, I was just making arrangements to get her arrested and she just flew off in the last moments...we can talk about her later, ..." where is Rudr"...Shivaye was just about to leave the kitchen in search of Rudr, ...Rudr just entered the kitchen and hugged Shivaye tightly...Shivaye was astonished seeing this gesture of Rudr, he was expecting lot of tantrums, taunts, anger and scolding from his younger brother, Rudr is not usually like this ,Om was shocked seeing this too,
Flashback
"Rudra hugged him even tighter ,his breath was fast, he kept mumbling something in between his sobs
Shivaye rubbed his back and tried to calm him down "what happened Rudr, kia hua,"
Rudr just didn't reply, soon Shivaye just analyzed the situation and got to know that it was the Nanny whom little Rudr was afraid off, no one else was at home, Dadi was at some yoga class, Pinky was at some kitty party, and Badi Maa went with Tej for some business conference, Rudr was merely 3 years old, Shivaye never saw him talking to anyone but he always use to get what so ever Shivaye asks, It was late at night when Shivaye entered Rudr's room and find the little soul in a corner of room sobbing, with his legs tightly clenched to his chest... Shivaye a was not just a 12 years old boy this family had made him get mature before time, he knew it that he has no one by his side he has to do everything at his own, he has no protection nor any guarding angel...but for his brothers he wanted to have one and it was he Himself...Shivaye fired that Nanny at the spot and kept caressing little Rudr ,whose sobbing declined to some extent...he brought that trembling soul to his room, he kept telling him that from today onwards the door of his room is always open for Rudr as it is for Om...
AFTER A WHILE
Shivaye and Om were sitting on the bed with Rudr sleeping beside them
Om merely 8 years old asked Shivaye" You have fired his Nanny what will we do now?"
Shivaye "we will look after him at our own"
Om" but how will we do that Shivaye he is so small he doesn't even talk"
Shivaye" we will figure it out somehow, I cannot see that Nanny near him even, you know what Om he was terrified, I can't even think what he went through that whole time, what if my music class hadn't got cancelled and I would not have reached here on time..."
Om "I never liked her too"
In the morning
Shivaye was seen with a bowl of mashed fruits sitting beside Rudr who was busy playing with his toy cars, Shivaye made the spoon fly like an airplane to gain Rudr's attention "Rudr look ,here comes the plane with a roar see "aa dush dush dush"""
Rudr just looked at Shiavye all amazed and in his amazement he finally opened his mouth, Shivaye finally succeeded in putting a spoon full in his mouth"
Shivaye was exhausted because this tiny tot Rudr didn't seem to have any interest in eating but Shivaye had to make him eat,it was almost an hour and he succeeded only thrice in making him eat a tea spoon of his mashed fruits... soon Om joined Shivaye and they both tried 16 different tricks to make him finish his fruit bowl but the feeling of accomplishment after doing so was unbelievable for both of the Oberoi's...Shivaye felt a relief he was looking for ,Om was just happy because he was spending some time with his baby brother...
Flash Back Ends
""It was 18 years ago,but from that day onward making him smile,seeing him at ease,watching him live the life they were not given a chance to live was all what was needed by Shivaye and Om to feel good,but for last few weeks it was different...their name was their biggest threat...they were not safe,and this time it was no one other than the baby brother they wanted to protect the most ""
Shivaye gestured Om and asked what was it about?he freed himself from his hug
Rudr looked pale, his eyes were drenched in pain which just got the company of fear, he was standing there but was looking weak... His face showed what he was going through, something just pierced Shivaye's heart
Shivaye in a concerned voice went closer and asked" Rudr are you alright, what happened to you?"

Rudr heard them talking he started in a feeble voice "Is it about Gayatri again?"
Shivaye just paused for a while, there was something going inside Rudr's head and it was a reaction the way he was behaving,
