It's all because of the middle-aged aunties that dominate the audience in India. Their desire for kitchen politics govern the content for both the channels and the various production houses. I don't think its fair to blame the creatives entirely for their outrageous ideas. It's the audience that's to blame for supporting mediocrity. 😳

@Tulsi, Dazz & Ami...
From what I have heard, Mishal was never approached or he had never auditioned for KKB..
It was the media who messed up, becoz Shabbir' had replaced Mishal in Laagi & the word was
The actor who played Dutta was the ML for KkB...so they posted Mishal's photo with Shabir's name...
So much for their informative journalism...
I am not surprised, they have done this many times with difft. Actors

@Ami...that show with Iqbal & Mona Singh started off well with a difft. Storyline, but could
Not survive
But another Ekta show on life OK...a great cast, & a finite series, ran its course thankfully.
It had Harsh Chaya, Sonali Bendre & Apoorva Agnihotri. It was a pretty decent mature story.

I think Indian TV should undergo some big transition in terms of content , shows , ratings ...
They should have separate TRPs for the Mid- age audience & the younger audience and
probably have shows for the middle age audience at a difft. Time slot ( late noon , early evening)
& shows that appeal to the young age grp. at a difft. time ( late evening & night)
They should also bring more finite progressive shows for the younger audience
and find ways to include the online viewer in their ratings.

Oh & I don't see Mishal working outside of his own PH now, at least on TV.
That's where his complete focus will be, to make his PH productive & churn out some good shows.
