In life we all have views ,thoughts, reservations ,expression,impressions, about what we feel and think. but a person who can express an opinion , uphold and take up responsinility , be un afraid, is the one who stands out The episode is expressions of many who speak out and give thier opinions of varied nature ...It's like each is the centre of attention for one another. Dhani finds Viplav outside on the jhula but with a scowl. To calm him she is gentle with him , why is he forever annoyed? well he owes her an apology the nasty slip that came out of his mouth about this being his very first marriage.. he might take a bit of time to understand the intricacies of marriage. In doing so Viplav proves to his wife , sometimes it's important to acknowledge ones mistakes where it matters , its these bits that encourages bonding between two people. Dhani puts him at ease it didn't matter to her in the least. Shows that Dhani too knew it was a slip of his tongue and nothing much. Viplav shares his angst of tolerating Raja's presence in his house. He is impatient to do something swiftly that will render this man out of their house! but Dhani reminds him to discipline himself and wait for the right time. For untimely retaliation can be detrimental as Shalu loves Raja dearly , their family too is mighty impressed by him, and it's not unknown that they two are the ones who are against him so the best solution for the moment is to wait. Dhani opines that Raja she knows very , well , he has two weaknesses , wealth and women! they have to use his weakness against him! Viplav tends to be impetuous while Dhani appears to be sensible.The real beauty is the check and balance that they maintain in their relationship. For Viplav sees where Dhani is coming from and agrees.
Raja inside the house firstly gloats on his timing for slapping Viplav and Dhani by snatching off their room! But he knows full well too that he has to make sure that he or Shalu are not blamed for the swap .. so he orchestrates the fire in Kanak and thus sabotages Dhani's image in the house. Raja totally underplays the room swap action and pins the blame on Dhani , that all he did was praise the decor and Dhani reacted by presenting them Viplav's room ! Kanak believe its Dhani ploy's to impress all and start in the house on a good footing. Raja picks on Dhani's low level status , a girl from a lowly house in Kanpur and that too a widow! now daughter in law of this great household, doesn't really fit! Kanak rattles , dadaji and dadu may have accepted her, but she would never accept Dhani as her dil..Pleased Raja knows which buttons he needs to push when it comes to winding Kanak up, the status card!Is Raja describing his own situation? some man from a struggling family in Kanpur now studded as a jewel in AN? bitterly they both agree that Dhani has such good fortune. But Raja vows he will ensure Dhani's luck changes soon..
But seems like both Kanak and Raja's faces are going to have their faces rubbed in dirt! For Dhani is praised for ironing out the smallest complications that might arise soon after marriage.. Dashrant before the family points out that she handled well the room swapping, issue and found a feasible solution . For her rational reaction he gifts Dhani a gold coin. Which annoys Kanak to no end, her worry is the old man is becoming soft on Dhani. Viplav is won over by his dadaji's acceptance of his wife.. or is dada ji too ,working to his own agenda? Dadi however lauds Dhani for standing and being a support for her husband, for covering up for each others weaknesses..she blesses their love as a married couple! Faith in action. Dashrant before lord Shiva's statue wants to have a quick word with Viplav..He begins by asking Viplav, does he know why god changes his avtars? Viplav looks blank and Dashrant explains,so that they can come into their world and act like them. Seemingly this is lord Shiva who can do anything but with all dignity..so if god can act with dignity ,then as humans we too are expected to follow their example .Viplav wants him to come to the point and Dashrant reminds him that Raja is the son in law of the house plus his brother in law therefore Viplav should treat him with respect and dignity. For if they continue to fight each other then the family's respect will turn to ashes. Viplav finds it hard to swallow and then he retorts, but this very god remained in his dignity and fought demons! that man is a demon! and he will remain so! and by swapping him with god he is insulting lord Shiva! Dashrant is vexed and tells Viplav he is trying to make him understand something, and he is giving him sermons and preaching to him!viplav apologizes and explains he was only giving him his point of view that's all. Dashrant calms him , its only a matter of few days for after that Raja will take Shalu and live in Allahbad! So long as he stays here kindly treat him with respect! Dashrant advices Viplav. Raja overhears them and worries, he hasn't even done anything as yet and here a conspiracy is being hatched to turn him out of the house!he approaches Dashrant ..wants a quick word.. cooks up a tale that people here don't know who he is?in fact they don't even know shalini is married! after a few days he;ll take Shalu home with him.. he needs to think what people are likely to say as they dont know Shalu is married..how will they know about our marriage it was done in the temple only before them.people haven't seen ..so Shalu will be judged as unmarried..here Raja pushes the right buttons of family honour and respectability on Dashrant! Dashrant agrees and says , yes to announce their marriage he will arrange a big dinner where the rich and influential will be invited and introduced to him.. this is what Raja wants to be known in the higher circle as the son in law of DT!
An attempt to clear the air between siblings. Shalu comes to her old room to collect some nail polish , Viplav stops her as she leaves, wishes to clarify his position. But Shalu is totally disinterested ,annoyed he asks her how long has she know him..? and how long has she known Raja that she trusts him so blindly? and she doesn't trust her own brother! the day he proves what he maintains about Raja , she'll come to him! he cries angrily.. but Shalu leaves , completely brainwashed and in love with Raja.. she is her own worst enemy.. discarding Viplav's opinions .
Family caucus in AN..dashrant sounds off Raja's opinion.. to honour Shalu and Raja's marriage he will give a big meal for the affluent people of Banaras where he will make the announcement that Shalu is married to Raja . Shalu loves the idea!and asks Raja what he thinks ?and he smiles approvingly. Viplav turns to Dhani asking for her opinion. Kanak rages why ask her! if babu ji has confirmed it! whether any one is happy or not! viplav retorts , babu ji asked his opinion that's why he asked Dhani. Besides at least people in this house should be allowed to express their views. Dashrant approves Viplav stance ,and encourages Dhani to speak out too ..she does, he must have thought through and as such she supports his decision. When all rejected widows considered them impure ,he was the one who accepted a pot out of a widow's hands ,in fact he is the one who has made a widow a DIL so she doesn't disagree with the idea of banquet but for the poor and deprived people of BANARAS, feed them ,we'll get blessed ,besides she doesn't think much money should be spent on the banquet or display their wealth, the rest is up to him.. Dhani gives her views. Dashrant sits caught in a mess.. Viplav approves of Dhani's ideas. While Kanak glares at Dhani . Dashrant does try to clarify that after big banquet he always donates a lot of food to the poor! But Viplav retorts. Dada ji thats not an offering..its leftovers many people don't even accept him..dhani is right..it makes sense to feed the poor than the rich! They'll give their blessings too! All stand as dashrant stands too..dhani apologises if she over stepped the line, but Dashrant accepts her suggestion, the poor and downtrodden will be invited will be given food and clothing not the rich! He adds Dhani has opened his eyes but he will have to perform atonement so he will fast and only have water! Dashrant hugs his grandson while Kanak Shalu and Raja fume Dhani's face lights up.
Viplav opines to Dhani the banquet idea has to be Raja's idea..not sure what he plans to do though? Dhani reckons its to tell people he's Shalu's husband... Viplav says we have stopped quite alot of his moves in this direction. He thanks Dhani for her support.. she tells him she's off to the mandir with his mother.. Viplav tells her if his mother gets shirty with her than she should use her right to speak in a .polite and decent manner.
Kanak at the mandir badmouthes dhani than spitefully tells dhani she will cook for a crowd of 1000 ! dhani recalls viplav's words dont stand for rudeness fron his mother. dhani touches her feet and tells kanak with complete etiquette.. she will certainly cook..as she has asked her to do the task
overall to me the episode has substance.. the Lord Shiva scene was powerful, viplav challenges dashrants hypocrisy.. garbed by faith..not as is but in his manipulative way.Some fine moments of emotional harmony bewtween husband and wife.. why is dashrant fasting? because dhani is cooking?? hamlet53 7.4.16
