TV actress Manya Anand has leveled serious allegations against Shreyas, allegedly a manager of Tamil star Dhanush, accusing him of casting couch. In a recent interview, Manya claimed that Shreyas invited her to participate in a film project linked to Dhanush, making objectionable requests and asking for "adjustment" in return. She alleges that Shreyas has been making these requests for a long time, making her uncomfortable. The actress's allegations have sparked concern and outrage in the industry.
What Shreyas told Manya
"There is commitment (adjustment)," Shreyas told Manya, as claimed by the latter. To this, she asked, "What commitment? Why should I give commitment?" Manya also stated that even though she made it clear that she does not want to indulge in any such ofters, Sreyas continued to force her. "You will not comply even if it's Dhanush sir?" he reportedly asked her.
Manya also claimed that Shreyas sent her the location details of Dhanush's production house, Wunderbar Films, and asked her to meet.
Manya Anand also mentioned that Shreyas had sent her scripts, which she chose not to read, further highlighting her discomfort with his advances. "I did not read it. I am not doing the film. We're artists. We are doing some other work. You take work from us but don't expect something else in return. If we comply with your demands, then we'd be named something else. I think it'd be better if people recognised this pattern and sorted it out," she said, as quote choose India Today.
Dhanush’s upcoming project
Dhanush's upcoming film, Tere Ishk Mein, is set to release on November 28, 2025, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The film, directed by Aanand L Rai and featuring Kriti Sanon, is an AR Rahman musical with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. Interestingly, this is Dhanush and Aanand L Rai's second collaboration, following Raanjhanaa. The filmmaker recently shared his thoughts on the film, saying, "After our last film, there were emotions we never fully let go of. Dhanush and I kept revisiting that space — what happens to love when innocence fades, when time changes people. Tere Ishk Mein grew from that unfinished thought."
