IKRS Saturday 2nd April 2016 ep 206 My Take ~ Can of worms!

In life many complicated situations may arise out of unforeseen problems that are likely to create conflicts. Shalu s marriage to Raja is deemed to be such a situation. It was no bouquet of fresh flowers. But rather a withered wilted collection of dead flowers kept alive with putrid stench ridden waters! It has been a contentious issue between Viplav and Dhani in opposition and the rest of his family in support, since the day it was revealed, that giving the daughter of the household to Raja in marriage is likely to end up being a can of worms! Viplav and Dhani maintained that Shalu's marriage will be far from a new lease of life for Shalu but more so a scenario of death where maggots fed on dead flesh..

Feigned Awasthi's dangle a bait of apologetic farewells before the gullible tirpathis. Awasthis know full well their humbled exit will be challenged by the honour of this esteemed household .Sure enough Shalu stops them!

At the ashram Viplav is made to feel at home and given special treatment as the son in law!he is served tea , but he singes his mouth with the hot tea! the earthen cup falls and crashes to the floor. Dhani startles and more unforeseen, fears plague her and become evident on her face. The mishap is mopped ,Viplav rinses his hands ,but can see his wife is preoccupied. He teases her she looks down in the dumps because she'll stay away from him for one night! Viplav jests around while Dhani cannot get over an intuitive sense of some conflict in the making..

A girl possessed by the concept of having a husband too rather than not! makes her decision known to her family that come what may she accepts Raja as her wedded husband and commands him to put vermillion in her hair parting to confirm she is his belonging ,his wife! Raja knows Shalu is his passport to ayhodya nivas !his hard work now pays off. Gallantly he admits before her family she is the girl he dreamt to marry, all was well but.. To look good he discourages Shalu from doing what she is.. But Raja is also in the business of winning hearts and gaining trust of these people .For in doing so he will force a comparison between how virtuous he is and how evil Viplav is . It is imperative he creates a conflict, that lowers Viplav in the eyes of his family and raises him up by many bars! only then can he ensure a comfortable entry into this kingdom by ousting Viplav out! The devil! plays on the sincere love that Shalu feels for him! plays on and rejects her banter before her family , plays on with Shalu! dissuades her if her family does not agree to their marriage than she should abandon this talk of marriage! The devil misleads her by his guile , whips her into frenzy of insecurity of losing him! as she announces hysterically she cannot live without him! Before his very eyes Dashrant sees the daughter of his house beg for Raja's attention! A sight of embarrassment for his household sure!

Dinner is prepared for Viplav at the ashram. Dhani sits beside him ,but is miles away. Viplav boils her morose as it looks to him, being away from him and assures her , if this is how she'll look upset ,then he too will stay with her at the ashram.Dhani fears the unknown but Viplav is in his love bubble!

But the devil holds on for the climax scene where Shalu severs her wrist in yet another attempt to take her life as she cannot bear living life without Raja !such was the spell of this evil prince upon the rejected gullible sad girl who now fights to get her favourite toy! Raja puts an end to the drama! does what he had conspired all along to do ..severs his finger and puts his own blood in Shalus hair parting ashe acts on Shalu's command!! Shalu turns into bandit queen! Marriage or not!.. Raja gives impression to Shalu's family he didn't want to go against them, but he's doing this upon Shalu's behest!. suicide a serious issue directed poorly looks comic!

Dhani is niggled by some unforeseen situation.. that has the power to turn things upside down..wants to know if all was well at home? If Viplav had rung? He thinks she means to tell them he plans to stay the night at the ashram! the phone comes he finds out and the look of horror on his face worries Dhani, and he announces to her.. what he feared has happened ,Shalu tried to commit suicide again! he mutters, she says get her married to Raja or else! Viplav and Dhani both leave the ashram in haste!! In actual fact Viplav only knows about Shalu's attempt to commit suicide.. he doesn't think about the implications he will have to face.. inderani spells out the serious implications to Dulari if Raja marries Shalu he will become the son in law of that house ,and that will pose more problems for Dhani!

The evil conquerors enter holy ground ushered by Dashrant into the mandap to get the marriage between Raja and Shalu solemnized .. it seems both get what they aspired for, Shalu the man she loves.. Raja only gets a fraction of what he wants.. just this girl , but one foot in the house! and in waiting now to guzzle the power, wealth and name and honour? That he can never have even if Raja dies a hundred deaths because he is sin incarnate ,the devil himself!

Viplav and Dhani reach home ,dadi tells him Shalu taken to hospital but discharged now ..after that she too is in the dark where they are? Viplav tries to phone Dashrant who treats Viplav a major obstruction keeps missing his calls.. Kanak too feels Viplav best kept out of this one.. so Raja is already beginning to win battles against Viplav. Raja's foresight of using Dhani as a common enemy to him and his in laws was and will remain a key weapon in kicking viplav out of AN too!

Viplav's worst nightmare comes true.. Shalu and Raja in bridal outfit flanked by his dadaji and mother.. the two sentinels that will protect the married couple from the opposing brother Viplav. Dhani and dadi too stand in the door way shocked as they see the outcome to Shalu's suicidal drama! Viplav's eyes drink tears of blood.. disbelief! helplessness he could not stop this great tragedy ! yes he saw it as that.. calamity from happening.. his sister is childish. This fiend cast a spell on her and bewitched her! This filthy man who even dishonours the women of his own family! Fumes Viplav, something snaps in him! he cranks his neck, flares his nostrils, and he marches towards Raja in attack mode , grabs him by he collar , and beats the living day lights out of him! Shalu screams , all yell! and try to pull him off Raja.. Finally Kanak pushes her son away from Raja and warns him not to lay a finger on the son in law it's a sad scene where the wicked prosper and the righteous suffer.. Viplav is told he is not trust worthy.. fine one he is, to talk about trusting him.. he married on the sly ,didn't inform any one .. now his sister follows suite just like him! Viplav rages and turns the place upside down smashes flower pots to show his fury! Finally Dashrant yells and reminds Viplav that he accepted him and Dhani so now he too has to accept Raja as Shalu's husband.. Viplav says no! Dhani calms him down and is asked to welcome Raja and Shalu home..Viplav stops her but she chooses to honour his family.. Raja enjoys every bit of this.. Suman has become his bhabi again! happy days of taking liberties again.. Raja is forced to touch her feet..Dhani is repulsed .. interesting how Kanak welcomes Raja and Shalu with a big smile as opposed to how she welcomed Dhani with hot coal..it appears that Raja will be residing in AN now.. how can that be honourable?? Dashhrant orders Shalu and Raja to touch Dhani's feet to seek her blessings..Dhani moves back from Raja's touch but is forced by Dashrant to let Raja touch her feet.. seems Dashrant too wants Dhani to be defiled.. Raja ..the devil, grabs Dhani's feet and looks up at her with a smirk he stands and gives her a look that says.. remember I shall follow you where ever you are ..you will never be free of me..

Have to see raja awasth never really mattered to me..I was indifferent to him, but today seeing him in this episode he has put me right off.. he is dangerous.. very smartly, gets people into serious trouble.. have to say he always puts up right act. Episode hightlights how the two children shalu and viplav both are a cause for concern to their family.both mark their marriage in an unconventrial way . Both fight the world to marry who they want. What shalu has married she will find out gradually . What viplav has married was a widow whom he always wished to see smiling.. overall I found it a disturbing episode.. precap viplav leaving .

.# having a suicide attempt scene a day after pratushya's incident I found very distasteful on the part of the cvs.. suicide in itself is a serious issue ,especially the attempt it should not be treated lightly.hamlet53 3.4.12

Nice take.
On one hand I feel whatever happened is good for Tripathi's to learn lesson but other hand I feel sad for Dhani as she is the one who will suffer the most and in turn vipu as well.
In my opinion, Dhani should join Viplav to leave AN and from outside they keep an eye on whats happening further. They can also take AN family members into confidence one by one.
Overall disturbing episode .. yes .. but I was too happy to see the glimpse of Datta bhau when viplav hit RA!

Dear Hammie as usual very well written 😃...It was lovely to see ashram ladies again after a long time with RL's colored hair 😆 viplav feels at home finally. Dhani continues to have a strange feeling and is highly unsettled.

Her fears come true with the avasthi's enterance in AN... they trap gullible shalu and make her act according to their desires ...another suicide attempt by shalu which goes according to raja's plans and he grabs the opportunity to look all good in front of tripathi's. Finally he accepts to get married to her and with DT and kanak's presence they get married.

Viplav after getting the news of shalu rushes to AN...and then after seeing raja and shalu he beats the daylights out of raja 😆...kanak DT shalu try to stop viplav now little does he listen to them...he is so disappointed with his family that he tells them not to come to later to seek for forgiveness nor ask him for help...not once did they believe him not once did they trust him...he has had enough of this he would not accept such a marriage.

Kanak points out when viplav and dhani can get married secretly then why can't shalu follow his brother's footsteps...DT threatens viplav to accept this marriage...dhani tries to calm down viplav but he doesn't ...DT playing another mind game makes dhani welcome the newlywed couple with aarti.

Raja asks shalu to take blessings of bhabhi...the way he touches dhani's feet is disgusting ...now he has the liberty to do whatever he wish to... one he can amass the wealth two he will make his advances towards dhani and with no having a doubt on him...kill birds with one stone...what a way destroy lives of people.

This snake I felt him always to be dangerous ...hathi ke danth dikhane ke kuchaur chabane ke kuch aur...suits him...another Shyam jha from IPKKND...ek kam nahi tha jo doosra tapak gaya.

Waiting for your next post dear...Till then take care.😃

There are different angles to how the story can turn from this episode itself. Feeling Viplav's frustration as a brother to not have been able to protect her naive and strubborn sister. Feeling the fear and disgust that Dhani feels knowing Raja and the worry for Viplav's anger - wondering how to make the situation better for everyone.
Very upset for Pratyusha Bannerjee's sad demise. Maybe suicide should not be shown so frivolously on the entertainment channels, as the youth of our country are very emotional, impatient and want to seek happiness for a short run only.

hammieee ,
brilliant as usual.
scary title.can of worms reached AN,now they will consume d dead pieces of AN,those who r dead in heart.btw maggots r not that bad, used as treatment options ,they promote healing ulcer by eating d dead tissue.
mishal is such an extraordinary actor,d way he portrayed viplab,d wounded man, absolutely brilliant.
I loved dhani in dilemma, when she had to leave viplab's hand n welcome raja.does it indicate any future seperation track where dhani again will have to choose betw two.we know what dhani will choose, not viplab off course.she is too MAHAN.
I totally agree with u, suicide attempts cant b shown this way.they r showing a vulnurable woman repeatedly attempting suicide, they r not giving a positive message to d society.they must show woman taking d decisions that they will live with their head upright , whatever d situation is. this kind of tv shows have a lot of roles to play in our society.they have shown dhani started fighting for her rights (ashram track ) ,they r showing shalu as such a weak woman, whose sole purpose for living is to get married.
thanks hammie, food for thought, nice storytelling ,new english words (for me), social message , I loved ur take.

Namaste dear Hammie

This is a fabulous take indeed. The introduction with the comparison of ShaJa's marriage as dying flowers in slimy stagnant waters is really apt. Also very well done are your descriptions of the wedding, or "wading" (in troubled waters). Lastly your point about the the flippant way in which suicide is being dealt with is also well taken.

Here are somethings aimf would like to share with you:

--the events leading up to the marriage has DT's scheming written all over it. What a heartless man indeed! Furthermore he is a slick and wily operator who likes to have his hands clean at all times. Be it conspiring Dhani's murder, or Phool Chand's downfall. DT's remote orchestration of his game ensures that like a mafia Don, he always comes across smelling like roses, innocent, and totally on the side of the very person that he was scheming against. This time, too, is no different. DT knew Shalu's volatile and vulnerable state of mind. To push a recovering addict to relapse does not require either force or mastermind. All that one has to do is to have the alcohol available and the rest will be taken care of by nature herself. Shalu had just barely been weaned from obsessing over Raja, and KT and DT engineer to have the poison in the form of Raja present himself in front of Shalu and allow the addict to crumble into hysterical relapse. A very sad state of affairs, indeed.

--Since the marriage has been solemnized on this desperate note, it gives Raja the upper hand in the marriage and Shalu could be taunted by Raja saying that he married her only because she was desperate, only to save her life.

--Aimf did not get the impression that Raja cut his hand to apply blood in the form of sindoor on Shalu's forehead. On the contrary, he might have used Shalu's own blood dripping from slashing her wrist to do the job. If this is true, symbolically it signifies that the marriage is one-sided, and shows that Shalu's "love" is unrequited.

--A few days back you had a nice title to your thread called "sibling rivalry" or some such thing. After watching yesterday's episode it dawned on me that DT and KT are horrid parents in yet another way. Instead of being the unifying factor for their offspring, they foment sibling rivalry and mutual disrespect. Yesterday, DT's skewed reasoning that Vip has to accept his sister's marriage, because they accepted his; and KT's ominous words that Vip's sister would also follow the same road charted by Vip himself --of a clandestine marriage-- struck me as childish. Why would anyone stage these kinds of comparisons between their own children that foments competition and intolerance in the worst way?

--Playing the game of one-upmaniship, DT and KT have overlooked several important considerations, which are potential red-flags:

1. Where are the men in the of the Awasthi family, and what condones their long absence?
2. Why would the newly weds return to AN soon after the wedding rather than go to the Awasthi's rented house to welcome the bride, as is the custom.
3. Keen as they are on proving Dhani wrong, there was no attempt made to recheck the antecedents of the Awasthis after the court case to ascertain whether this is a genuine family worthy of Shalu.
4. And what if there was the slighest chance that Dhani were to be right? What are the implications of this fact?
5. Why does Raja want to stay at AN? What of his much touted business in Allahabad?

Neglecting these issues is akin to pushing Shalu down a dangerous chute and sealing the opening also. DT's game of snakes and ladders said it all. Right now he thinks he is on a winning streak, encountering ladder after ladder. Blinded by his own hubris and gamesmanship, he forgets that for every ladder, they are two snakes, on either side, waiting to strike. Perhaps the biggest snake is on square number 99, right next to the finish line and it would drag him down all the way to square one, leaving him in penury with just a walking stick and begging bowl. It does not take a lot for fortune to reverse itself.

In all, a disturbing episode with deranged characters of a dysfunctional family headed to a dystopic future of devastation, provided Vip and Dhani do not get their act together and do something soon.

Wishing you a pleasant evening with family and loved ones on this Sunday. Take care and cheers.

Thank you hammie for the wonderful take ..

Your introduction was very pretty correct for the situation.

  • Shallu marraige dress is red in color , however designs surrounded by the red color is white and Yellow glittery (Silver and Gold Glittery ) . Her life and love is surrounded with Glittery world ..
  • So it is wise to see how she distinguish her love from the glittery .(Worth to watch and days are not so far .
  • Yesterday episode clearly showed , how these two lamp of AN (Viplov and Shallu ) was longing for pure love from their mother - So their upgbringing was not under the control of mother . So each one them took their respective pathway to reach their destination
  • Very beautifully shown the distinguish upbringing of Dhaani and AN.

It was disturbring to see the scene of Suicide commitment and it shows she is emotionally very weak and RA (Know found of property ) , however her mother and Grand father (Used this oppurtunity ) to use her .. to go against Dhaani . -

DT is an oppurtunist and RA is an oppurtunist ,So it is wise how this two oppurtunist will go against Dhaani .

This scene was completely disturbed for me, however Kushboo acting was so perfect .👏👏

Very good post dear

This was the highlight of episode ... How RA is using to enter into AN with their Khoon without any damage for him
Ladder : He is digging his own grave ..(Yellow an Red chumbak ). Yellow is Daaadi and Red is Viplov and Dhaani love ..

So DT is using Dhaani and viplov relationship , however on the way of journey it is going to hit the Rasleela of DT (Durga relationship reveal ) by one and only Bahu rani of AN (Kanak Tripathi )

Snake patthway is Zig Zag, and it is not smoothway and he stopped in halfaway with Yellow chumbak , however KT is joining the game to show the rest of the pathway through Dhaani .

Thanks Sammie

Awesome observations from you also. I liked the symbolism of the glittery dress. In fact the camera panned so much on the dress that I started to get eye-strain. As you observed, Shalu's marriage is all glitter --dizzyingly glamorous and blingy from the outside and hollow from within.

Snake symbolizes distrust and revolt from within also. Hope you have a grand Sunday. Best wishes and cheers
