Excellent post.
Showing society this way is not pleasant to watch. Kudos to the team for dealing with this topic and kudos to you for making this thread. The double standard of society is well portrayed. Dhani is the helpless one. She is thought to be unlucky and brainwashed to think she is less deserving and can't do what others do. Because of who she is, she is thought to be dispensable, less valuable.Kanak is privileged, belongs to a well known family, rich and powerful. She thinks she has every right to give out punishment. No one will question her because the age old thinking is instilled. Challenging her is challenging a belief system.Viplav represents the challenge. He is truly a progressive, broad minded person. He does not make the distinction of status and prejudice. He values a life and sees it equal to any other. We see the different parts of society but also the contrast between old ideas and new ways of thinking. It is ironical that the smartphones, a sign of modernization and progress were used to film actions that were steeped in very old thought processes.
Thank you for liking the post :) & I must say, what you say is v.well worded! I agree with each and every word...
The last part of your post is something that touched me the most.. So so true it is! Though society is technologically advanced, it still harps on age old regressive traditions n uses the same advancement against advanced, modern thoughts & free beliefs.. I guess, it is the irony of the present existence altogether!
