What if Ahaan's father was actually a good soul, he fell in love with Savitri and married her against the will of Dadi (mostly because of her status), something tragic takes his life and Dadi blames it on Savitri?

Somewhere, I strongly feel his father loved Savitri.

i really hope what you're saying is true. i hope he really loved savitri but sadly something tragic happened to him.

also, this should happen b/c not all men are terrible - some are really loving, caring and respectful.

It’s like this only . Ahaan’s mom and dad had a love marriage and he even was ready to leave his mom to be with Savitri. Tats y Daadi is angry . He had some accident it seems . It was mentioned in one of the episodes . Savitri must have been in trauma bcause of that and this cruel lady used that to put her in asylum and told others she left her family for some man .Chachi and chacha knows daadi is lying about Ahaan’s mom .

Also, his father could be still alive. I mean we haven't got any direct hint that is dead. It could be that he is away but alive.

Just maybe.
